The meal was enjoyable although the filet mignon was overdone. I requested medium rare and it was medium well. The pace of the meal was nice, we weren't rushed and could enjoy the time dining.
We arrived early for our reservation. We were able to get a drink and we’re accommodated and seated early. The service was excellent from the hostess to the bar area wait staff especially our waiter. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the restaurant!
The food and service was fantastic. We will definitely go back.
Pork chop was horrible. It was fried, greasy and hard as a rock to cut.
The food was amazing. Great music. Service was friendly and prompt.
Over the past few weeks, I had been reading so many positive reviews about Hooks and Chops. I just had to give it a try. We went on Saturday night.
I have to say, all of the hype was spot on.
Arrived a few minutes before 5p for our reservation…. A bit early, so it wasn’t crowded…
The hostess asked if we’d like to sit at the bar while our table was prepared and she said to take our time, no rush and she’d come get us when our table was ready.
We each ordered a drink… I had an old fashioned, and she had the cucumber-jalapeño margarita… both perfectly mixed and delicious!
The bartender was super nice and asked if we had been there before. I explained that after reading the numerous reviews, we had to come… she promised we wouldn’t be disappointed…
(Spoiler alert… she was right!)
When we were seated, our waiter, Angel came by with menus.
We ordered the Tomahawk Duroc Pork Chop and the Faroe Island Salmon a la Plancha.
After a few bites, we both decided that this was probably one of the top 2 or 3 dinners we had ever had … absolutely outstanding!
Pork chop was seasoned nicely and very moist, and the salmon was beyond delicious.
Angel brought us another round of drinks, and asked how everything was…
I think we both said, with our mouths full and savoring each bite… “Oh My God, this is amazing!”
We were there maybe just over an hour and change… and I suppose word has gotten out since every table was full.
I did notice that the tables were generously spaced apart, and I’ll assume when the world finds its way back to “normal,” they’ll be able to fit a lot more tables… I will bet at that time, they’ll all be full too.
Yes, we will definitely return.
Great evening, superb dinner and a very friendly and attentive staff… what more could you want ?
Salmon very good. Steak was tough.
Corrie is the absolutely best waiter!
loved every thing. top to bottom. Food, cleanliness, staff etc...
The food was great from the apps to the desserts and cocktails, amazing service and overall a great night. The live music was a great bonus that we weren't expecting. We will definitely be back.
Excellent! Can’t wait to go back!
Service was excellent. Our cocktails tasty. Our meal well prepared. Looking forward to another visit.
I love this restaurant but unfortunately the Tuesday evening crew was not the A team. The drink was not good and the Halibut was very dry and lukewarm. The cappuccino was not hot and the waiter ended up being the bartender.
The pregnant waitress made a terrible evening bearable. Not sure if I’ll be going back at least not during the week.
60th Birthday Dinner
Food was pretty good the Branzino was not whole and butterflied like last time so that took away from the overall taste
Excellent food and great service. Highly recommended.
Food was good !! The alcohol pricing they are out of their mind. McCallen 12 on the rocks $30.00 which is usually 16-18 at all high end restaurants and in city. Not sure why but you ain’t going to see me there again. Not to mention after I got the bill i looked in the drink menu it said 29 and they charge me 30. ✌️
Great service! Nice ambiance! Amazing, delicious food!!
Went with friends and had an amazing dining experience! Sat outside and listened to live music while enjoying every course! Best ahi tuna I ever had! Blue pt oysters and salads also delicious! And save room for dessert- terrific Baked Alaska and Creme Brûlée! Hooks & Chops is one of the best restaurants on Long Island! Plenty of free parking- no valet….lively bar scene as well!
Service was excellent, we had a great waiter by the name of Christopher. The food was very good as well. The noise level was great, no problems with the conversation, however it was a Thursday evening, so on the weekends it might be louder. The place could use a few plants for decor.
The service was great, the food was excellent and overall it was a wonderful experience.
Happy hour with relatives out of town. Food and portions were more than expected. Service was good too... only problem was the large loud table of women sitting next to us. It is a beautiful painted cement floor but there is nothing to absorb the noise
Superb in every way
Delicious food snd great entertainment!
1st timer! And wow what a meal! Service was absolutely amazing 👍🏼
Great bread basket! That may seem silly but for me it sets the tone for the meal. The food was great and the service was good. The negative for me was that it was incredibly noisy. I struggled to hear what my dining companions were saying.
I’ve been wanting to try here for quite some time now. The food and drinks were really amazing (extra points for an option of blue cheese stuffed olives in my martini), and the place is beautifully done. Love the outdoor patio area and the live band on a Saturday early fall night.
Great outdoor patio and great live music! Food and service always good.
First time there.
Will be back. Great food, and enjoyed music outside with dancing!
Not my first time here as I love this restaurant! Met the ladies from work and sat outside and at first I was skeptical being on a main road and change of season. Glad We sat outside!! The setup was very cozy and they had a live band outside so it was fun!! The food and service always fantastic, can’t say enough about the food . A bit on the pricey side but worth every penny!!
Always a great dinner. Staff attentive and professional. Special shout out to our waitress ,Samantha, who made sure our anniversary was special!! Will be a regular here.
Great experience will be back
Very good food. The wait staff was great too. Would def come back, this was my first time here.
Beautiful restaurant interior and outside patio. Ample parking. Excellent service- professional, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Amazing food and drinks with gorgeous presentation.
Working my way through this fantastic
menu and creative weekly specials.
Been here three times in last two months and it never disappoints.
Service is outstanding!
Anniversary. It was great. They even gave us a complimentary glass of Champagne.
First time there, comfortable outdoor seating.
The staff could not be more accommodating, attentive and friendly.
The pork chop and steak were prepared to perfection. We will be back again.
One of my favorite restaurants! Brought my friends there fir their first time and they were very impressed. Great wait staff and delicious food displayed perfectly. I had the chopped salad with salmon and it was amazing. You have to try this restaurant and you will not be disappointed.
Server was on point in every aspect, food and drinks by far exceeded my expectations. Manager made his rounds to see how our experience was going.
We have been dining there at-least monthly since last winter, we start with happy hour at the bar and then head to a table. The drinks are fantastic as well as the crab beignets and the seared tuna ! The lobster bisque is to die for. If you haven’t been try to get there soon as the menu does rotate seasonally for the freshest of ingredients.
Service was very good. Food was not good, starting with the bread. Butter was hard as a rock and bread was stale and cold. Did not get any better after that… spent over $300 for 2 people and felt completely ripped off. Paid Blackstone prices for Ruby Tuesday’s food.
