Hogshead Kansas City is a locally-owned and operated upscale creative American restaurant focused on seasonal and locally produced ingredients located in the Country Club Plaza next door to the now vacated Plaza III Steakhouse location at 4743 Pennsylvania Ave. Hogshead is the brainchild of Shawn McClenny and Clark Grant. Grant and McClenny decided to open Hogshead after they began discussing their now award winning Bacon Cheeseburger. Hogshead followed up their Plaza Art Fair Best Food and Best in Show wins with a Runner Up performance at The Pitch’s BRUNCHED event. Hogshead's Lunch menu showcases salads and sandwiches. Our Brunch menu showcases soulful dishes from around the globe. Hogshead’s beverage program spotlights locally produced spirits and craft beers. The beer list is constantly evolving with new drafts being added multiple times per week. The number of our party bounced around a bit and the team was. very accommodating. The food was delicious! The music was a bit loud for brunch chit chat but then again I’m getting older...

Great vibe, stellar playlist, but we had reservations and had to wait an hour before we got our food. We were told that a large party set the kitchen back. Unfortunately when I make reservations, I expect these kind of things to be taken into consideration. I would try again!

We heard Hogs head had the best hamburger in KC so we tried it. All four of our party got the bacon cheese burgers and fries 2 got them with eggs and they were more than accommodating to leave the egg off the others. They were super friendly went out of their way to make sure we were happy with what we ordered. Suggest drinks. It was a great relaxed atmosphere!

Overall good experience. Food was good, but the shrimp in the shrimp and grits were over cooked, rubbery. It was busy and with a full restaurant and heat from the open kitchen my husband and I were sweating.

As an overnight visitor to KC this was a lucky shot in the dark. Seated fast, well taken care of by the wait staff, the food was delicious

I enjoyed the "Best Burger of 2018" for lunch, and it was delicious. As far as truly the "Best Burger" in Kansas City, I wouldn't give it that title; however, the burger was tasty, service was great, the restaurant was clean and well decorated, and the location on the Plaza is excellent.
