Great place!! We will definitely be back for the food, live music, and atmosphere. The service was great and with the open table reservation, we only waited about five minutes for our table. Love it!!

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet. I work in healthcare so I really appreciated being able to have a holiday dinner after work and not in the work cafeteria. The food was pretty plain. Lettuce and dressing for a salad. Only one vegetable which was canned mixed peas, carrots and corn. The “pretzel bar”was cut up pretzels and one cheese sauce. The best thing was the curry wurst which was like cut up sausage in barbecue sauce. The spaetzel was good, especially if you dipped it in cheese sauce. Ham and turkey were ok. Bread pudding was good but the other desserts were store bought pumpkin pie and cakes cut in really small pieces. At least you could try several and not feel like you ate too much. Overall just ok.

We have gone here before for regular meals and for Thanksgiving. The Hofbrauhaus had a rough start. They made a lot of mistakes, but they seem to have righted the ship. Food was pretty good and the wait staff was very responsive.

The one problem I have is that they are not vegetarian friendly. There isn't much variety for us non-meat eaters. Actually, it's easier to get vegetarian food in Germany. However, they do make up for it with a great apple strudel.

My husband, brother and I went to the Hofbrauhaus for the Thanksgiving buffet. The mixture of German food and typically American Thanksgiving fare creates an interesting dinner. This is the 2nd time we've celebrated our holiday at the Hofbrauhaus. The atmosphere in the hall is pleasant and festive. We hope to continue our new tradition next year and the year to follow.

Food was very tasty and a nice selection for a buffet. While we have enjoyed having live music on previous visits, it was nice not having it because you could actually talk to anyone at your table without having to yell.

I reserved a high table online for 1 pm. Husband has Parkinson’s mans requires this. When we arrived properly at one we were escorted to a little table and they couldn’t locate our reservation. I also called ahead and asked the receptionist to please call me with the prices since it wasn’t listed online that I could see. Receptionist never got back to me. Food was expensive and you had to order a pretzel and a drink separately plus a side item like a vegetable. This brought our simple lunches to more than $20 a person.
The restaurant was attractive and clean and the hostess was friendly, so that is good. Water glasses were small and she never did refill them though. Except for the pretzel, foods were not served hot. I asked them to reheat mine. I would’ve loved to see more healthy foods like vegetables on the menu but they weren’t there.

Service was just above non-existent. Had a 1pm reservation and was seated late even though empty tables were ample.

Waited at the table 20 minutes and never had anyone even come over for drink orders.

Left without anyone saying so much as asking why a 5-top was leaving abruptly.

Not impressed, and will not be coming back.

I was just in Munich for the Covid-Cancelled Oktoberfest. While there I enjoyed an evening at the Hofbrauhaus. After getting home I really missed authentic German food and was looking for a place near me to try. Boy was I excited to see a location near me! Because we went on a Sunday morning at 11:30, there wasn't much revelry. That is certainly understandable! There was a band though! It was very loud because there is no noise dampening in the hall. Hard to converse with eachother. Sadly, it was playing cover music and no German oompah music. Even worse, country music. :( While sitting there, we saw a waiter walk by with the most amazing Bloody Mary we had ever seen! It had a pretzel, bacon, and brat on it! Very Cool! It was $22 but cool enough to have atleast one. All of our food was fair but we didn't feel it was worth the high prices. The total of our bill came to $200 with tip for 4. One thing I want to point out is our waitress was amazing! She was friendly, patient and bent over backwards to give us exactly what we wanted. Great, great service!!! Last but not least! I am a true gift shop patron. The gift shop was terrible! Not sure why they even have one. There were a few t-shirts in small that I liked, a ton of HB glass steins, HB pilsners, and pottery style mugs with nothing on them, and jugs. When I asked about the tshirts he said they haven't ordered any. Bummer!
Overall, if I were to go again, it would definitely be for the beer, pretzels and ambience! I see a good future for the Hofbrauhaus!

They are clearly short staffed. We ordered an appetizer and an entree and it took over an hour for our entree to come after we had finished our appetizer. While our waitress was friendly and trying her best, it seemed the runner who finally brought our entree was a manager, and he was less the friendly when we asked if he could bring the check because it had taken too long for the food to arrive and we had to leave. Otherwise, the food was really good, the beer was good, and there was a German band playing that was quite fun and lively.

Having been to the Hofbrauhaus in Munich I can say there is a noticeable difference in the taste of the food. The schnitzel is breaded differently the meats taste different (as expected considering the livestock) but all in all it was a great experience. The band was great, the beer was great and the service was excellent!

We had a really good dinner with family. The food was very good. The noise level was okay, it was Thursday and not many people in the place. We also had a great server. It's a little pricy, but so is every other place these days.
Yes, we'll be back.

I was a bIt miffed to see the abbreviated menu. If you’re famous for red cabbage, why didn’t you have any? And Oktoberfest placards were on every table, leading me to think that the listed special dishes were available the night I was there, a Thursday. Nope- only on the weekends. I am used to a greater selection of menu items. My favorite German restaurant closed after 30 years, and because I was downstate during Oktoberfest, I thought I’d try it. Huge building, and designed like a typical brew haus. I was dining alone, so the table that seats 10-12 was a tad large for me. My dinner was ok- the Jaegerschnitzel. I was pleased that I could get the meat grilled instead of fried. The mushroom sauce with bacon was way too salty for me. At least the beer was good.

Great relaxing beer garden with awesome and authentic German food and beer. Lovely seating area with space for kids to play. Well done. I am guessing COVID has hurt their service like many other restaurants because they were seriously understaffed and while our food was delivered promptly, it took about 30 minute for us to flag down our waitress for our check and even longer to pick up something from the giftshop. We almost walked out when the bartender offered to help. Still, there is probably an explanation, because everything else was great. Bathrooms were clean, food was well cooked and warm, and the ambience was lovely. Just not enough staff.

The Band was aweful, one could not understand what the guy up there was singing, the backround sound was much too loud. I guess if you cant sing you make the music louder. Aweful! Also it was hard to have a conversation because of this, Being a native of germany I know what polka music is supposed to sound like, Have been there in the past and always enjoyed our stay but we coukd not wait to finish our dinner and get out of there.
Food was good but what is a german restaurant that doesnt offer potato dumplings!!!! Disappointing!!! The so called german potato salad was yuke and I was unable to eat it. As a german I know thats not german potato salad, no matter what region of germany you may visit. I have visited them all. Schnitzel was big but a little dried out. I have been to the original HBH in Munich and they would be ashamed of what you are serving. Have to think twice if I will or can recommend you to my friends. Only highlight that saved the food score was the weizen!!!

Wait staff had a VERY difficult time getting the Beer orders correct, it’s a Beer Garden, should be first and foremost. Also took 35 minutes to split the check between couples in our group. The manager came over and blamed it on the “German” accounting system…???? Our waitress had to take a break before we finally got our credit cards back! Not good

The worst restaurant experience I've had in years. The front hosted slammed a stack of menus after we checked in and stormed off leaving us with an unwelcome feeling. After 20 min of waiting and observing, she was just like that with everyone. The music was so loud you have to yell across the table to be heard. We asked if other patrons ask to have the music turned down and our waiter responded ALL THE TIME. The food was atrocious. Over-breaded and over-fried, don't expect anything that resembles German food. Our waiter and the beer were the best part of our experience. I'm so disappointed and sad that way too much focus is on the wrong things in this place. Felt like a bunch of 20-somethings running it. I didn't see a mature manager or leadership any where. Completely lacking everything you want in a dining experience. 😟 I feel terrible my parents paid the bill as a treat for my birthday. I'll never go back.

We travel from out of town every September to celebrate Oktoberfest by having drinks and lunch at Hofbrauhaus. Past years were very fun, large selection of food items and high spirited staff with overall fun atmosphere

This time was so disappointing because the hostess absolutely hates her job. She was so unenthusiastic and blah. We were given a limited menu with not a lot of options. 3 beers to pick from (had to ask if they had an Oktoberfest beer). The restaurant was mostly families with small children who screamed and ran around. It wasn’t like any other German beer hall I’ve been. Again, very disappointed!

Pretty expensive disappointing meal. My children and I had lunch that was over $100 after tip, and the food was fair to bad. My 1/2 chicken meal on special came out and it was a quarter chicken, dark meat, that came with potato salad for $18. The potato salad was mustard based and unlike any German potato salad I've ever had - couldn't eat it. The ambiance was nice - big room with cathedral ceilings and the tables are all large heavy wood with long benches. The staff was nice enough, even tho our entrees came out before our appetizers/soup. I like that they can open large openings out to their patio. I just wish I wanted to go back.

Because the staff was extremely small, service was very poor and trying to find a waitress to help you took a long time. I know this weekend was Oktoberfest, but the beer advertised was unavailable because a truck didn’t show. The menu was limited because of Covid, end it took forever to get our food or refill on drinks
