Came to this place for brunch per wife's recommendation (request) for nice view of the Hollywood area and ambiance of the place. It's true that the view is awesome, no complaint about it. Servers are just OK; friendly but not very attentive. Our server asked us about what drinks we'd like to order, but he didn't bring us the drink menu in the first place! Food selection is good enough; some items are hit and miss. The burrata salad is wonderful though. Price on food is acceptable per Hollywood/DTLA standard, however overpriced on drinks. You're looking at cocktails in mid $20s each. For a few times I saw the bartender "mixing" cocktails by merely pouring liquor over ice cubes, then pouring some fruit juice out from plastic bottles, then serve to the customer; not shaken, not stirred. What's going on? Anyway, I ordered a glass of draft beer at a more reasonable price ($10) but it didn't go better. The beer was poured in a glass at room temp! Remember, this place is at outdoor seating next to a pool. The glasses are soaked in broad beautiful sunshine. How could the management not taking this into consideration? Anyway, beer served at wrong (warm) temperature, what else? Sorry, this place is not persuasive for me to go visit the 2nd time, and I wouldn't recommend to my friends. (Lucky that I found street parking or else I have to shed another $28 for valet parking.)

Very happy with our dining experience here. Wanted to show offHollywood to some overseas visitors. Read the very mixed reviews and decided to give it a shot. Superb view of the Hollywood sign and area, all the way over to the ocean past Westwood. The view was a big highlight for sure. Excellent service and the food was wonderful! Prices are a little overpriced but appropriate for the view and atmosphere. The only downside is $20 vallet parking is overpriced, and 25 minute wait for our car (at around 3pm). Other reviews mention this so it’s something you’d need to factor in. If you’re ok with the valley issue (and I do call it an issue) I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful gem of a restaurant with a Hollywood view!

I like the ambiance and most of the food was good... our waitress was really great, but the service was slow because food came out little by little. A few were done eating by the time the other meals came out. Maybe someone didn't show up for work and they were slammed. It was 1pm and they had run out of sweet potato fries, which we were looking forward to. Two with us didn't like their meal as it wasn't what they expected but the rest of us did. All in all it was a good time.

The Food Is way too expensive and drinks. The food was not even all that. You are basically paying for the view which is not too bad but you can find better.

Great dinner, my wife and I ordered the steaks which were cooked to perfection! Unfortunately, the steaks came with egg roll style potatoes which were excessively spicy. I am more of a traditionalist diner and found this touch to be “LA pretentious”

Beautiful location on the rooftop of the Dream Hotel. Unfortunately it wasn't warm on Friday night and the heaters didn't warm things up enough to make it really comfortable. The drinks were very pricey. No bread was offered and when we asked for it, we were told they could give us toast, which came as 2 dry slices and then we were charged $4! The salmon entrée served on a salad was very good, as was the filet mignon entrée. The scallop entrée was an extremely small serving and my daughter was still hungry after she finished her dish. The chocolate molten cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was delicious, but the olive oil cake was just OK, a little dry. Top if off with having to pay $20 for valet parking for less than 2 hours. A disappointing evening, and we will not return.

The views, the atmosphere, and the food was phenomenal. The only down side to the perfect experience was the lack of quality of our server. Lack of her enthusiasm and no check ups left a bad taste at such a wonderful venue. I’m definitely visiting again for everything else!

Hidden gem in the heart of Hollywood. It is on the top floor of the Dream hotel and has striking views of the entire downtown area. Went here for a nice Saturday brunch. The food portions are pretty large and the servers are knowledge and professional. Would love to come here again!

My friend and I were staying at an Airbnb nearby and decided to hit this place up for breakfast before we caught our flight home. As I probably should have guessed, it was all show and no substance. I ordered tea and had to ask 3 times for honey. My friend ordered scrambled egg whites and got regular scrambled eggs. She had to ask for pepper 3 times. The food criminally overpriced and underseasoned.

All the front of house staff are gorgeous but are either too self absorbed to put any effort into their job or just aren’t the sharpest knives in the box. Or both. Either way, this place pretty much played into every stereotype I have about the LA area and the people who live there.

Ambiance is great. We had incredible views of the surrounding area and the Hollywood sign. It’s this restaurant’s only redeeming quality.

It is me and my boyfriend’s first time in LA, so I researched rooftop restaurants for his birthday dinner & came upon The Highlight Room. For starters, our reservations were for 9:30pm and we did not get seated until 30 minutes later. I do not understand the point of reservations if we can not even be seated on time. Then we waited for 15 minutes before a waiter even came towards our table. My boyfriend had to remind the waiter for our drinks which was only two waters & a watermelon lemonade, received another 15 minutes later. Then we were finally able to order when our drinks came back. I ordered the special lobster alfredo & my boyfriend ordered the same with chicken instead. Honestly, it was decent, but I would have rather eaten alfredo at Olive Garden, especially because I expect pasta to be piping hot not room temperature. My boyfriend absolutely did not like his alfredo, so he opted for a burger and fries instead. It’s sad to say that his new food was way better than my fancy pasta. Overall, the atmosphere & music was great, but honestly I would never recommend or even try to come back here again. It was a lesson learned.

I love highlight room, the view is amazing and also is the food. The only thing that I want to complain about is that I booked a table for 12:30 and the table wasn’t done until 20 minutes after. If I book a table at 12:30, I’m also going to get the table at 12:30, not 20 minutes after that.
