The view is unbeatable! Our service was good and several people checked in on how we were doing (it looks like management has taken past reviews as impetus for improvement). We went for brunch and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Of course prices are on the higher side because you are paying for the atmosphere and it was well worth it!

Nice view, but barely any vegan options. Can't believe they won't even do a veggie burger. I mean how hard is that. News flash: vegans do not always want to eat a green salad. Bit more imagination would be nice. Service uncooperative, table and chair dirty.

This was my third time meeting introducing a friend to this gorgeous addition to the Hollywood renaissance. We had a little bit of a wait for our 1:15 reservation, but the young woman at the desk kept us informed with apologies for the delay, which is always appreciated. And when you've got a day as beautiful as we had, and views like the ones offered, there are far worse places to have to wait. Once we were seated, our server was there pretty quickly, as was our appetizer of House Salt & Vinegar Chips with caramelized onion dip. The only problem we had with them was pacing ourselves so we didn't inhale them. We managed to make them last a while, a good thing, since our order - she had the shrimp tacos and I had the crispy chicken sandwich - took longer than I expected. When it did arrive, our server apologized profusely. I'd asked for one without cole slaw and apparently the kitchen had screwed it up once, then screwed it up the second time, so my server had brought it out to see if I was okay with that. The chips were gone and I was hungry so I said it wasn't a problem and ate it. Another good thing, since I discovered their mustard slaw was pretty damn good. While I was enjoying the sandwich the manager came over and said he'd heard about the screwup and wanted to offer his apologies. I tried to look more disappointed in the delicious meal as I graciously accepted the apology. He then went on to say they were going to take it off the bill.

I come from a restaurant family. We survived through a combination of good food and great service. That's what I got from the Highlight Room this time. And it's the kind of gesture that insures I'll be coming back. I've read reviews of the nighttime situation that sound like things can get pretty crazy after dark, but for a lunch or brunch, I've got nothing but good things to say.

Came to this place for brunch per wife's recommendation (request) for nice view of the Hollywood area and ambiance of the place. It's true that the view is awesome, no complaint about it. Servers are just OK; friendly but not very attentive. Our server asked us about what drinks we'd like to order, but he didn't bring us the drink menu in the first place! Food selection is good enough; some items are hit and miss. The burrata salad is wonderful though. Price on food is acceptable per Hollywood/DTLA standard, however overpriced on drinks. You're looking at cocktails in mid $20s each. For a few times I saw the bartender "mixing" cocktails by merely pouring liquor over ice cubes, then pouring some fruit juice out from plastic bottles, then serve to the customer; not shaken, not stirred. What's going on? Anyway, I ordered a glass of draft beer at a more reasonable price ($10) but it didn't go better. The beer was poured in a glass at room temp! Remember, this place is at outdoor seating next to a pool. The glasses are soaked in broad beautiful sunshine. How could the management not taking this into consideration? Anyway, beer served at wrong (warm) temperature, what else? Sorry, this place is not persuasive for me to go visit the 2nd time, and I wouldn't recommend to my friends. (Lucky that I found street parking or else I have to shed another $28 for valet parking.)

Very happy with our dining experience here. Wanted to show offHollywood to some overseas visitors. Read the very mixed reviews and decided to give it a shot. Superb view of the Hollywood sign and area, all the way over to the ocean past Westwood. The view was a big highlight for sure. Excellent service and the food was wonderful! Prices are a little overpriced but appropriate for the view and atmosphere. The only downside is $20 vallet parking is overpriced, and 25 minute wait for our car (at around 3pm). Other reviews mention this so it’s something you’d need to factor in. If you’re ok with the valley issue (and I do call it an issue) I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful gem of a restaurant with a Hollywood view!

I like the ambiance and most of the food was good... our waitress was really great, but the service was slow because food came out little by little. A few were done eating by the time the other meals came out. Maybe someone didn't show up for work and they were slammed. It was 1pm and they had run out of sweet potato fries, which we were looking forward to. Two with us didn't like their meal as it wasn't what they expected but the rest of us did. All in all it was a good time.

Great dinner, my wife and I ordered the steaks which were cooked to perfection! Unfortunately, the steaks came with egg roll style potatoes which were excessively spicy. I am more of a traditionalist diner and found this touch to be “LA pretentious”

Beautiful location on the rooftop of the Dream Hotel. Unfortunately it wasn't warm on Friday night and the heaters didn't warm things up enough to make it really comfortable. The drinks were very pricey. No bread was offered and when we asked for it, we were told they could give us toast, which came as 2 dry slices and then we were charged $4! The salmon entrée served on a salad was very good, as was the filet mignon entrée. The scallop entrée was an extremely small serving and my daughter was still hungry after she finished her dish. The chocolate molten cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was delicious, but the olive oil cake was just OK, a little dry. Top if off with having to pay $20 for valet parking for less than 2 hours. A disappointing evening, and we will not return.

The views, the atmosphere, and the food was phenomenal. The only down side to the perfect experience was the lack of quality of our server. Lack of her enthusiasm and no check ups left a bad taste at such a wonderful venue. I’m definitely visiting again for everything else!
