Hestia, named after the Greek goddess of the hearth, is a modern live-fire grill house. Dishes find inspiration from a custom 20-ft hearth which anchors the kitchen and dining room. Our menus offers an opportunity to explore and showcase techniques that highlight the role of fire in food. You may choose to order from our a la carte menu or experience our chef curated tasting menu.

We accept reservations 60 days in advance. For event inquiries, please visit our website.

2024 Michelin One Star

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Kevin Fink

From the OpenTable editors: When the MICHELIN Guide rolled into Texas in 2024, Hestia, from the famed Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group, scored a coveted Star. Locals have long known it's a gem. To start, a 20-foot grill crackles with live fire in the center of the charcoal-toned dining room, where you can do a 12-course tasting with dry-aged Texas wagyu or choose from a la carte options like scallop in beef tallow. Or keep it casual at the bar with a wagyu burger, and pair it with a killer martini or a pick from the 400-bottle-strong wine list.

This has been one of our favorite dining experiences. The staff is engaging and the food is phenomenal. The crudo, waygu tartare and maitake mushrooms are some of my top dishes anywhere.

We’ve been to Michelin star restaurants around the world and this one is one of the very best! Tori, the server and sommelier made our experience top notch. She taught this wine aficionado more than I’ve experienced in a long time! The restaurant is way more noisy that we were anticipating, so a suggestion to the restaurant is to perhaps to better isolate (and noise insulate) the tables for those doing tasting courses + wine parings would’ve made this place even better, but still, we left stuffed and incredibly happy with the food and service. Highly recommended! It’s so good, maybe just make the entire place tastings only?

Tried out Hestia for the first time. Nice atmosphere, kitchen with the wood fire oven is beautiful. My husband and I got two bites, two veggies and two entrees to share. We loved the beets! I loved the escarole salad as it had a really nice flavor with paprika and maybe nutritional yeast?? The halibut was perfectly buttery. We got the mushroom entree which I thought was over priced at $36 and we did not realize it was cooked in pork fat until the plate was presented to us. Neither of us eat pork and I have that in my OpenTable profile so I was surprised Hestia did not make note of it. Despite this, the food overall was good. I think Hestia could improve on their service, especially as a Michelin Star recipient. Definitely consider checking out other Michelin Star restaurants’ service. Uchi and Barley Swine in town always note dietary restrictions and make accommodation.

Worst wine dinner experience ever--and we've been doing them for more than 25 years. Plainly, Hestia is now just trading on its Michelin star. In a place known for delightful apps, ours weren't even so-so. Then came endless waits between courses. Probably 40 minutes for the pork (underdone). At least another 30 minutes for the beef. Clueless waiters, completely indifferent to their diners' hunger and impatience, other than to ply them with endless "refills" of wine, while the chefs fiddled away the evening--and all in a hopeless din that made even cross-table communication impossible, let alone group discussion of the wines. Before either of the desserts arrived, fully 60% of the diners at our table had abandoned the obviously sinking ship and allowed the rest of their nearly $577.12 investment (per couple) to settle to the ocean floor. By then, even the waiters had begun to realize that the evening was a bust; they basically threw both desserts at us simultaneously, along with the last drink, and, of course, ours checks. From start to finish, way more than 3 hours, for hotel food randomly delivered in an unpleasant environment. As Jed Clampett would say, "Pitiful, pitiful, pitiful."

One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Food was creative and superlative. Service was attentive, friendly and extremely well versed in each dish. A premium experience worth the check size.
