Gastro Pub
The decor of Herb & Bitter Public House is a fusion of modern and vintage elements, taking large consideration in using salvaged building materials, antiques and contemporary raw building supplies. A year-round retractable glass conservatory covers the 1000 square foot patio. String lighting illuminates the European café style setting.
The comprehensive spirits program is progressive and centered around Italian Amari. The overall menu concept is diverse and eclectic with seasonal plates . We incorporate many cuisines and world flavors into dishes that are house-made with as many local, and sustainable ingredients as possible; taking into consideration dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan.

The food was great, the prices also, compare to the sizes of the dishes. The ambience was outstanding. However, the service was quite slow.

We were a group of 10 some food tasted good some not. Slow . Slow service. Server would not walk around table to get orders , she kept saying saying she could not hear us, same we could barley her. Some items over priced.

It was the first time out at such an establishment in a couple of years and Herb and Bitter was a good choice. Lots of positive energy from the clientele celebrating various events and great energy from the staff who waited our table. Definitely a great Public House vibe. First time using the QR method of ordering. Maybe someday there could be a button on the menu for "wait staff please" and if that is not needed patrons could just tap the items they want and the order goes to the kitchen with the table number. Food delivered in hand by some staff.

Great space with the trees.

Thanks

The Eggplant Parmesan was delicious but it was served on a slab instead of a plate. Not the best way to serve something with yummy sauce. Plate with rim please!

The "bartender's choice" drink flight was an absolute treat! We couldn't get over the personal attention we received from the bartender as he explained the different drinks and reasoning behind them. Truly a spectacular experience!!

A truly embarrassing experience- I made a reservation for 14 people through OpenTable. We arrived at the restaurant which was closed. The sign indicated they aren’t even open on the evening that OpenTable accepted the reservation. This is on OpenTable - which also has no way to contact them to give feedback besides this review.

They were able to accommodate my 11 person group. I think the atrium area is so nice and pretty, its warm too, you wont be cold in this restaurant. Drinks were so fun and cute. Food was Delicious, and was very pretty and presented nicely. Thank you Herb & Bitter! Outstanding place! Only thing i did have a problem with was their sign! Its so hard to find the restaurant if your driving in the dark and the rain. Get a brighter sign so we can find you guys again haha! Overall very happy with our time here.

An absolute win of an evening. Food was fantastic, the staff that night were on their A game. So attentive, without being intrusive. Great drinks, staff were dressed up for Halloween. Overall, just an amazing evening out with friends.

The new food menu is terrible. They took the salmon off the menu, they created more of a "deep dive bar" menu, smoked salmon croquettes were terrible, so was the mushroom lobster "flan"... Bring back the old menu, it tasted so much better. As for the service, very very mediocre. Ordered some cranberry juice no ice, the glass comes out with ice, i returned it, and then they send it back one third full only. Their cocktains are tiny and overpriced

Excellent service, beautiful surroundings and delicious food. My wife had the Lamb Ragu and I had the Wagyu Pot Roast which is by far the best pot roast I’ve ever had. Very creative and tasty cocktails and their spirit selection is endless. A big attraction ideas their collection of Fernets as they are a favorite digestif of mine. We will be back and we hope to have Emily as our server she was fun attentive and added greatly to a good experience!

Wonderful food, delightful staff, great service, signature cocktails interesting but a bit of a disappointment, next time I'll just order my favorite highball and hope the liquor is included, lol. Extremely loud to the point where I was hoarse after two hours trying to chat with my companion. Despite those two negatives, I would still go back for the food and service, and enthusiastically recommend the restaurant.

The 'outdoor' patio was fabulous, sort of a greenhouse roof with retractable panels.
Food was very good, but the drinks were the star. The 'bartenders choice' flight of amaro came with a full explanation from the bartender himself.

We had a Friday night friend meet-up at Herb & Bitter. The ambiance was lovely both in the bar and on the enclosed patio. The food was absolutely delicious but it took a really long time for us to be served throughout the night. I honestly thought they’d forgotten about our dinner. It could have been a staffing issue. Regardless, it’s a great pub and the food is fantastic.

Had an awesome dinner here with my Aunt and Uncle when they were in town. Our server Emily immediately felt like a friend and made our time there so fun and casual. All the staff were like this actually. Even the Chef! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Felt like we were regulars on our first visit.

The food was incredible. I got the steak, my husband got the pork shank and both of us were blown away by the flavors and quality. Chefs kiss, delicious, and all under string lights on a beautiful patio. Couldnt have been better.

Place was cute. Admittedly I’m pretty boujee about drinks and these were not good. I got their fancy version of a mojito and it was super sour. And I LOVE sour drinks, this was just way too much. Apps were weak, honey lavender butter was pretty but tasted like nothing and the charcuterie board was sad to say the least, although I come from Wisconsin so we have pretty badass charcuterie boards so maybe my standards are too high to have a useful opinion. This board seemed like a hodge podge of sand which toppings. Entrees were fine, nothing impressive and dessert was straight up bad. I was at dinner with 3 other girls who are big dessert people and we literally couldn’t finish the chocolate torte. Bitter in the worst way, odd texture. Overall the ambiance is great, but the food and drink is expensive and unimpressive.

Have been to this place a few times now and it's never disappointed. Exquisite set of cocktails (try their Daiquiri and Cafe Manhattan) and small but well-curated selection of appetizers and entrees (highly recommend the Salmon and Oyster). I also recommend sitting outside (the patio).

Dinner with co-workers. Everyone had nothing about great things to say. The service was perfect, never having to wait to ask for something as our server, Emily, was very attentive. The food was definitely 5-stars. The chef even came out and said hello to the group. I've been there before and had the smoky eggplant lasagna. They have a summer lasagna now which equally is delicious even having a smoky undertone. I can't tell you the number of different drinks that were ordered but our bar tab was equal to our food tab. Each was uniquely presented. Again, our server was very knowledgeable on the drinks and very helpful.

Loved the atmosphere and the people, and some of the food was delicious, but two of the items were just... not good. Bread and butter (which we did pay for) was stale, like a couple of days old, and reheated to dry it out even more. The lamb had been burned to charcoal and it wasn't even close to warm when it arrived. A little more quality control in the kitchen would make this place so much better.

Went for dinner with a group of friends. The gal that was serving us was friendly but overworked (expected with covid). However, wait times from ordering to asking for the check took far too long, and the drinks were pretty bad, so we ended up leaving after one drink and getting dinner elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend
