Henry's Ratings and Reviews
We are outside and the frequent and loud honking of horns from the valet parking was very unpleasant!
Also, as an owner of an Emotional Assistance animal, myself, I was extremely disturbed and, frankly, disgusted by the woman at the next table, who put her dog’s bowl on the table and allowed the dog to drink from it.
That is totally unacceptable!!!
I support the concept of dogs being allowed in outdoor dining areas, but allowing a dog’s paws and mouth on a restaurant table is outrageous!
People who bring pets to restaurants need to be more considerate, after all it is an accommodation!
This was my visit here for lunch and my friend and I really enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the very good lunch that actually was on a "special" $11 lunch menu. The choices were I ple yet appealing and we both ordered the chicken bacon Caesar wrap which was very good, The sweet potato fries (although I could not tell if they were froZen) came out very cold but immediately when I told our server, she brought new ones. We did not have any soup or dessert, but I heard that their split pea soup is delicious so next time I will order that with a flatbread or salad. I would definitely try it here again and maybe even for dinner, but the prices are steeper for dinner. I also enjoyed eating outside but the inside was formal and classy. IT seems more of a ladies' lunch place that I would definitely return to.
Had "lunch date" with my husband. We had had a tough week so decided to go some place special. Having eaten wonderful lunches and dinners at Henry's I made reservation. We sat out side which was lovely. Server was friendly and efficient. Food took 40 minutes...we ordered burgers. When we arrived, several tables inside and out were empty, so being busy was not a reason. Husband's burger, inedible. Fries were cold and shriveled like they had been made yesterday and reheated. My turkey burger, was tasteless....used lots of ketchup. Told server but no response from management. Very disappointed. Have "frequent flyer" card but will not be using it again.
Henry’s is a neighborhood favorite. It has a reputation of drawing the “older” crowd. Who cares as long as the food and service are exceptional! The food is great, simple American food, well presented and well prepared. The chicken sausage flatbread is one of the best in town! The bartender/Eric is the best , be sure to get him to make your martini, and Cody the manager is incredibly friendly and accommodating
It was only lunch time, but it was so loud at our table for four that we couldn’t hear each other even when we shouted to the guest next to us (and we’re not senior citizens with hearing deficits)! Service was slow; we only ordered cold salads, but they took so long that all of our bread was devoured with no offer to replenish it or refill beverages. In spite of having planned to enjoy coffee and dessert, we couldn’t stand the noise level for another moment. After delivering our salads, our waitress never returned so we had to ask two other staff members at the hostess stand to get us our check so we could escape! There were at least two large group lunches, and it was pretty clear that the staffing in the kitchen and the dining room wasn’t adequate. We were not the only ones who were unhappy about food delays and waitresses who were MIA. I’ve been a long-time fan of Henry’s but we won’t return.
The food was consistently good & the service was even better! Donald, our waiter was on top of everything from refilling water glasses to heating up my husbands food when he had to step away from the table briefly. The combination of great food & service made our meal extremely enjoyable!
Too crowded. Too many tables, too close together. People can't get by to bring or take away food, or customers cannot get to their tables. We physically moved our table a few inches away from the next one twice; not good enough. If you don't sit in a booth you're going to have a very different experience. Food was fine, but we won't be back until "season" is over.
I keep trying but am always disappointed by Henry’s. 🙁It’s noisy, expensive, the food is mediocre and service lacking. Our entrees took forever, came out wrong, and we had to chase a server for water refills. The best part of the meal were the mussels as an appetizer. Everything went downhill from there.
Absolutely a fabulous dining experience with top notch service. They had another reservation so they asked us to sit at the bar with a complimentary cappuccino. We declined nicely and left to go home after dinner. Wonderful experience. Looking forward to my next meal there!
The mussels were horrible, so small that they were barely visible, with no taste, and served with a wedge of slightly toasted garlic bread that looked like it came from Golden Coral. Also, we waited nearly 30 minutes for the mussels. The bread was very hard, we had an early reservation, perhaps it must have been left over from lunch. Our meals were good, a tender filet mignon, with a good baked potato, and the glazed salmon was good as well. It was a very noisy place, very impersonal, as though our presence and satisfaction hardly mattered because there would always be the next customer to come along.
