   When I booked the reservation, there wasn’t an option to note that we were bringing our 1 year old, so I added it in the notes and requested a high chair. I got multiple text confirmations the week before and then a call the day of asking if we were still coming. I confirmed and reminded them we’d have a child with us, which was met with pushback and a weird lecture on how to properly book reservations. I explained I had already added it to the notes and still the person on the phone was rude. Off to a great start for Mother’s Day! We got there and were seated pretty quickly and right away were reminded that happy hour only lasted one hour. We ordered top shelf martinis and some apps and tried to shake it off and enjoy the evening despite the usual Nashville server sass we’ve come to expect. We were told to put in all our food and it would be coursed out. We ordered happy hour wine around 5:30 and when we asked for one more glass 3 min after cutoff, we were told we’d have to pay full price. Fine, we paid the upcharge. Then we sat and waited for our main course To come. And waited. Our kid was starting to lose it. We finally asked about our main course and were told it would be out soon, but the server clearly didn’t want to deal with us anymore. When the food did arrive, 45 minutes later, it came out cold and uninspired. We figured maybe they’d comp that last glass of wine as a gesture, but nope. Second dish showed up late, also cold, also forgettable. At that point, the night was just over. We handed over our card and got the bill back with the kind of speed you only see when you order queso at a Mexican restaurant. We spent over $300 to walk out feeling disappointed. Again. I think we’re done trying to chase good food and service in Nashville. Might as well stick with ML Rose at this point and save the letdown. What a bummer.

   I understand a restaurant extending their hours for popular holidays, like Mother’s Day, for example. However, when you extend the hours, and then are sold out of all of your popular dishes by the time later reservations arrive, and then rush those people through their dining experience, perhaps you shouldn’t offer extended reservations. Poor planning on management’s part, lackluster meals. Will not return.

   We always have a fabulous meal here, it is one of my top 2 in Nashville now. The food is creative and delicious and we love it.

   Absolutely EVERYTHING we ate was incredible. It was truly some of the best food I’ve had in Nashville and I’ve lived here a long time. The menus had Happy Birthday written on them as I had noted we were celebrating a birthday when I made the reservation. We loved everything about our dining experience and can’t wait to go back!

   Fabulous all around! 4 different entrees and we were arguing over who’s was the best. Plain hot coffee - mwah! SO GOOD!

   This restaurant has restored my faith in brunch in Nashville. My wife and I are frequent patrons of various Nashville restaurants (118 and counting) and enjoy a brunch. The last two restaurants took a bit of the wind out from us -- not because the food was bad (it was not) but because it was so ordinary. Not so with HR. The food was unique and surprising. The monkey bread was worth the trip; the crab cake was as good as Legal Seafood in Boston Harbor; the cocktails were delicious; and the quiche was just fine. The only soft spot was that our entrees were 40 minutes or so coming out and we were the first couple seated this morning -- we were not in a hurry so no big deal. Wait service was spot on. We'll be back, no doubt.
