Located in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood, Henrietta Red is an acclaimed oyster bar and restaurant. It boasts a welcoming barroom, spacious dining room, oyster bar, and a temperature-controlled, enclosed patio.

Henrietta Red was named one of America’s 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon Appétit, one of GQ’s Best New Restaurants in America, and a James Beard Foundation Awards Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in 2018. So the food here is good Unfortunately our entrees came out over a long period of time The first entree came out and it looked as if it would be a while so we ended up picking at it and even then the second entrees came out way AFTER I finished the plate. Unfortunately the last entree came out only after everyone finished their entrees I can’t believe this has actually ever happened before at a restaurant like this Even if this was meant to be a”family” style this was unacceptable No apologies from management or our waiter We won’t be back And that’s a shame because food is good

Henrietta Red is one of our favorite restaurants. This was the first time we left disappointed. My husband ordered the pancakes and barely touched them, too much cream and lemon curd. No syrup was served with pancakes (which would not have helped and maybe sent into diabetic coma). I ordered the quiche which was ok but would not order again. Our guest had the caviar and polenta and seemed to enjoy.

food and service was great although a little overpriced. i thought the ambiance was ehh. pretty and nice but nothing really interesting there just a bit plain for my taste. and it was very loud on a friday night.

It pains me a little to leave a slightly negative review here because some of our trip was so good and overall we had a great time. The service was excellent. The raw bar was excellent, in fact, I expect to come back again if in the area just for the raw bar. The problem was that the mains fell short. In addition to the raw bar selections, we had two great apps (beautifully roasted carrots and a tasty vegan take on Caeasar Salad. Unfortunately, the food went downhill from there. We had scallops that overall were OK, but the scallops themselves were slightly overcooked and simultaneously under browned. If this dish was $13 I'd be happy, but at $40 it was disappointing. After that, however, we had a dish that could not be enjoyed at any price, whole roasted trout (something I love). Sadly, the trout we got was overcooked, served semi-deboned (I would prefer to debone it myself, but if it comes deboned, please get all the bones), under seasoned and covered with a dry, papery combination of shaved kohlrabi and large pieces of parsley. At the price for this restaurant it is hard to walk away happy when both of your mains were between underwhelming and bad. Obviously this is a small sample size and we could just have had bad luck this one night. You can't beat the raw bar though. The oysters were pristine and the selection was great.

The service and food were excellent, but I was disappointed that the beet toast and scallops were sold out. It seemed like you sold out of several menu items that night.

Great restaurant for those in Nashville wanting something different! The food was tasty, fresh and less 'fried' than elsewhere. We had a large table and the service was fantastic and we closed the restaurant down after a late start, and we were never made to feel as though we over stayed. Only negative was for some the noise was a little much - mostly made by us.
