Quite easily the restaurant with the best view in London – overlooking the main gaming floor – but with the added bonus of the capital’s best value USDA prime steak, Heliot Steak House has attracted rave reviews for its inspired menu which draws on the history of the Hippodrome.
If steak isn’t your thing then don’t worry, as our chefs have created a menu that caters for every taste.

    Always a great experience, right at the heart of the Hyppodrom casino. We went for the steak and lobster option and it was delicious. Beautiful surroundings and great value.

    Food and service was excellent couldn’t fault it. Negatives - we were a table of 5, one chair was put at the end of the table at the top of some stairs, felt uncomfortable. We had booked the table as soon as they had opened, but this still didn’t give us enough time to enjoy the meal before Magic Mike show started. So the whole meal was rushed and no time for desserts and/or coffee.

    Great staff and great food. One of the best, if not the best, steak I’ve ever had. (Note that they do charge extra to include a sauce.) Restaurant was VERY hot - we were quite uncomfortable for the duration of our visit. Restrooms are some distance away - appreciate this could be a deciding factor for some people…and with it being a casino, it’s a very busy place overall. Great place however, to grab some dinner before the show or visiting the main bar.

    We had the tasting menu of the steaks, and wow - it was worth every penny! The fillet wasn’t our favourite but the rib eye and sirloin were out of this world! Would definitely come back again and recommend it to friends. What a treat!

    Had table booked for 9pm and didn’t actually get seated until 9.20pm. The manager made up for it though and took a few things off the bill which was very much appreciated. Food was of excellent quality. Scallop starter was out of this world and the lobster and steak was cooked to perfection. Would definitely come back again. Was actually excellent and faultless.

    I took my cousin out for his 40th and we had a great meal. The octopus starter and steak and lobster main were both outstanding. Will definitely return .

    We had an excellent pre theatre meal at Heliot. The service was excellent, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. She even asked what time we had to be at the theatre to make sure we made it in time. We both ordered steaks for our main courses, and shared a sushi starter which was beautifully presented. I couldn't fault anything.

    All very good as always. A little disappointed they started charging for butter with the bread. Been going there for over 10 years and always enjoyed that ceremonial part of the meal but did without as £4 for butter is pricy.

    An amazing experience with great service from Nuria and Gil combined with really good steak . Really nice environment, unexpected I could say because of the location. I would recommend it 100%

    Gil could not have been a better host. What an asset to the Heliot team. Funny, energetic and just lovely to be waited on by him. Have been a few times before and will definitely be coming back on the proviso that Gil is our server.

    Argentinian rib-eye was good size and nicely cooked but I had better meat cuts than that. Red wine sauce was exquisite. Service was very slow. Overall very good but not perfect.

    Went for the £39 each lobster and steak offer. The lobster had very little meat on it and the steak was tasteless and my request for a sauce never arrived. Service was a little slow and they took my cocktail away when it wasn't even finished.

    5th time eating here. Food cannot fault, service could’ve been quicker getting drinks, we was waiting about 20 mins from ordering them. Apart from that loved the food and appreciated the birthday dessert

    When booking it was not clear that restaurant was inside a Casino, when we realised we did not have time to re-arrange. The service was very good, however, be warned they want to make as much money as possible, insisting that a steak needs two sides, you do not if their are two of you you could share. The sirloin steak was good, but the Argentina ribeye was very fatty, have had better steaks, the peppercorn sauce was a poor standard and watered down. Some of the other diners where loud and swearing, but that is probably because of the location. We did not have dessert, but did see someone having one and it look very impressive Would not recommend unless you want to be in a place that is loud and very busy, you felt a bit like being on a production line. The staff where excellent, just the environment, was not ideal for a nice peaceful meal.

    A great location in the Hippodrome which I hasn't previously considered.. The food and the service were great. It was an exceptional value experience for Valentines Day.
