Awesome place. Will definitely be back!
Love this place. The food is always delicious, the old house is so charming, and the staff is attentive.
Our party included co-workers, former co-workers with his family, and a business associate. The lighting was wonderful, the sitting was quant. We did not know it was byob so we were able to run up the street to get some one before dinner.
We met a couple who were regulars and they gave us suggestions on what to try since it was our first time at Hedary's. It was a very enjoyable experience. I look forward to dining there again.
Food and service was excellent.
We keep returning to this restaurant for the great food and friendly staff. It’s our first choice for Middle Eastern food.
Excellent and timely service; fresh and tasty dishes.
Loved the authenticity of the food offered at Hedary's. We had an amazing meal and great service. The seating was a bit unusual, with a few tables in each separate room, but it worked well! Only reason it wasn't a 5-star across the board is because the bathroom could have been cleaner.
So good! Food is spectacular.
Great place! Warm generous service !
Great food. Neat old house.
Best Mediterranean food in the area. Hedary chicken, Grape leaves, hummus, tabouli, falafel, & baba were all delicious.
We loved this restaurant. It is going to be a new favorite. It’s in a cool Victorian house and the service was fantastic. As for the food, so fresh, great flavor and the fresh pita bread won us over
Fantastic flavors and presentation. Sweet music serenade in our dining room. Will return frequently.
I was very pleased with my experience at Hedary’s. The food tasted great and the ambiance was very intimate and relaxing.
We LOVE Hedary's! Great food, service, ambiance. I would give it 10 stars if I could. This is a great place for a date night, or to meet with friends. The lamb kabobs are our favorite and the Baklava is the best you can find anywhere. The meza appetizer is amazing too! We also love that it is BYOB so you can bring your favorite wine to enjoy. This place is such a nice change from the usual boring chain type restaurants.
Charming family run restaurant with good food and good service!
Poor service and poor food. Won’t go back!
Ambience and service were excellent. Delicious food and BYOB.
Very warm and welcoming restaurant with great food. We did have an early dinner before an early movie, but the server and owners checked on us regularly. Our food was delivered to the table timely and hot.
I overheard hat they were totally booked for the rest of the night, so in hindsight I’m glad we got there early.
Great find in old part of ALLEN.
Always a pleasure and always feels like home! If you want to feel like family with excellent food, this is the place for you!
Food was not good quality
Delicious food in an old home converted into a restaurant.
Mid week lunch and it was perfect. Food was delicious and they make you feel so welcomed like family! Loved it!
Very good food. Server knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
This is a nice restaurant for Mediterranean food. Kebabs are very good. Particularly like their mezze. The service is very good.
Our server (Zachary) was awesome, his recommendations were a hit. He was very personable. We will have to return to try his other recommendations.
We will be returning!
Amazing! First visit, will be repeat diners!
We went on Mother’s Day. The restaurant had good reviews so we decided to try it out. We were put in a room that was very dark. It had brown curtains and two wall sconces and that was it. It was hard to read the menu because it was so dark. An older gentleman finally came over and took our order. It took a long time to get our dinner. My parents got the platter that had One lamb, one beef, and one chicken kebab. They said that you cannot tell the difference between them. I had the beef kebab and there were big pieces of grizzle on the meat. It had no taste whatsoever. My brother had chicken and I don’t know what he really thought of it. The waiter never came back and checked on us. The hostess desk was outside of our door and a gentleman was there waiting on a to go order and getting upset because it was taking so long. Another gentleman came up and said that he had been waiting for his check. We finally saw our waiter and asked for our check. It would’ve been nice to have a refill of tea, water, but no one ever came back in to our room. There were two other tables in our room and they had not been cleared. A family came in and someone cleared the table behind us and they finally got a waiter who was a different waiter than who we had. They had to ask for plates and silverware because there was none. The food was lukewarm at best. I would much rather have gone to another Mediterranean restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food and service. A first-time customer - very good experience all around.
Delicious! Hedary's Restaurant is a great dining experience, in an old house near downtown Allen. Nice nd quiet, with tables in several different rooms, easy to have conversation and linger for awhile. Food is fresh and tasty. Meat cooked well, was moist and flavorful. Service excellent!
Great service. Had the signature chicken and was great.
Very tasty and authentic
We went to this restaurant to celebrate Valentine's day. As we sat down, the server gave us the menu. I asked if they have anything vegetarian for my husband or if they can fix a veggie platter. The server bluntly responded to NO. Usually Mediterranean restaurants have good vegetarian options, including falafel . We had to get up and leave. Very unfortunate. I will not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.
This is a great local restaurant located in the "old downtown" Allen area.
It's an older home converted into a cute eatery. The menu is very reasonable. Has many items to offer, beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarian. I usually get some type of lamb there, the Kabobs are great. I also love the fresh steamy bread on the table with some olive oil and herbs to dip in.
In the warmer weather this a great place to enjoy outside dining on the porch.
Remember, there is no beer, wine or spirits, so bring your own !
The food was excellent. My one and only suggestion is that they make clear that alcohol is on a bring-your-own basis. The setting is comfortable, the service terrific and friendly, and did i say that the food was excellent?
Excellent service and food!
Great food. The baba ghanoush was delicious as was the lentil soup. My family enjoyed the experience of this authentic restaurant and will be back.
Quaint old house gives lots of character. Food was great and service was welcoming. Wish we had understood that it was byob before we got there, but will be happy to come again with a bottle of wine.
Great atmosphere. Food was great. Vegetarian options.
