                                                                                              Couldn’t have picked a better spot for our Father’s Day dinner. I had looked at multiple other restaurants -predominantly steakhouse in nature - and Heck’s presented a far better value and diversity of menu options to satisfy budgetary and dietary constraints. The calamari, baked brie, and brussel sprout small plates were all excellent. My spare rib w/polenta was well prepared and tasty, and appreciated how lean the piece of beef was (often such a cut seems to be more fat than meat)! The desserts were a hit and I’m sure we’ll be back for future special occasions.

                                                                                              I dined here for the first time for Father’s Day. The food was subpar. The menu is limited. Your side dishes are already selected for you with your main course and you aren’t allowed to substitute things. The wait took a while. Overall wouldn’t come back. Unless you order burger and fries. Salmon very small but they load your plate with extra vegetables lol. You will still be hungry leaving here.

                                                                                              This was the first time that we went to Heck's Beachwood for brunch and we were really impressed. We were taking out of town guests, so we were hoping for a good experience, but this far exceeded our expectations. Great food, great service!

                                                                                              This was my second time dining at Heck’s. The first was shortly after they opened. I figured I give the restaurant another shot to see if it had improved. Unfortunately, it appears that did not happen. Both times we were seated by a very pleasant hostess and then waited a significant amount of time before our server came to the table. About 30 minutes both times. The service was incredibly slow. Our server was very nice and did her best to keep things moving, which was appreciated. But it was over 2 hours start to finish. The food was decent. We had a burger, salmon, and a salad with salmon. They ask how you would like your salmon cooked but I’m not sure why. They cook them all very well done. I asked for medium and my MIL asked for very well done. Our pieces were identical. They needed to change the keg and no one could do it because they were too busy. So no second round for the table. The manager did apologize for not being able to change the keg, which was nice. This was almost exactly the same experience I had the first time. I wanted to like it because it’s close to home, but, Heck’s missed the mark.
