                                                                                              This was my second time dining at Heck’s. The first was shortly after they opened. I figured I give the restaurant another shot to see if it had improved. Unfortunately, it appears that did not happen. Both times we were seated by a very pleasant hostess and then waited a significant amount of time before our server came to the table. About 30 minutes both times. The service was incredibly slow. Our server was very nice and did her best to keep things moving, which was appreciated. But it was over 2 hours start to finish. The food was decent. We had a burger, salmon, and a salad with salmon. They ask how you would like your salmon cooked but I’m not sure why. They cook them all very well done. I asked for medium and my MIL asked for very well done. Our pieces were identical. They needed to change the keg and no one could do it because they were too busy. So no second round for the table. The manager did apologize for not being able to change the keg, which was nice. This was almost exactly the same experience I had the first time. I wanted to like it because it’s close to home, but, Heck’s missed the mark.

                                                                                              It began raining really hard, however, our waitress was fun and attentive. She made the experience a great one and I will definitely come back. The poke nachos were outstanding.

                                                                                              Everyone had burgers and fries. While the toppings had taste.. the beef had NONE. Fries are top notch and the server was very good.

                                                                                              My first experience at Heck's. Our server "Olivia" was amazing, Super polite and very attentive. Food was delicious. Kudos to the bar staff. Definitely will go back...only if Olivia is there!!!!

                                                                                              As great as the original is in Ohio City, this one is very good and it's nice to have one on the east side. Food is every bit as good as downtown and the service was admirable. It was another satisfying visit to this location!

                                                                                              Our second visit and will try to return on next visit to area. Great food, good service. A bit loud and the soundtrack was not awesome.

                                                                                              Our food was very good, but service was pretty terrible. There was an abundance of employees running around everywhere, but it took us a long time to get a server and place a drink order, from the time we sat down it was at least 20 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered 2 appetizers and they came out relatively fast, but one of them was not what we ordered. Never received the 2nd appetizer, so they took it off our bill. Meals were very good, they give you a ton of fries with the burger! Never asked us if we wanted dessert, which we did, just brought us a check. Asked for to go boxes, but they don’t give you anything to put the sauces in. I’ve worked in restaurants for 25+ years so I have a good perspective of service. It was very chaotic in the restaurant, our server seemed to have tables all over the place, including upstairs. She was very nice, but very overwhelmed, all while there were employees just milling around doing nothing, completely oblivious to dining patrons. I’ll go back and give it another try, as I love the Ohio City location, but will probably sit at the bar.
