   Had some pre-concert food. Excellent drinks (the Old-Fashioned and Manhattan) and great food - split the charcuterie grande and one of our party and the shrimp and grits. Food was great.

   Great dinner before a concert. Will dine here again before performances. Salad was just ok, husband’s shrimp and grits were awesome. Shrimp and calamari appetizer was the best thing we ordered. Drinks were fine.

   So much to unpack. Server was not familiar with the Mother’s Day Brunch menu and couldn’t explain the ordering process or what was included. We decided to order directly from the menu instead even though we were there to celebrate Mother’s Day and selected Heresay because of the speciality menu. The server messed up EVERY single order from the coffee, to the mimosas to the entrees! He blamed the kitchen and the bar staff for everything but clearly he wasn’t communicating well with them. The manager ended up having to intervene and comped most of the bill.

    We were very disappointed in the level of service we received. Our waiter was good, but for some reason the bar staff may have been backed up. Took over 30 minutes to get our drinks. We could tell waiter was frustrated as well.

    Good but not great. Probably heard so much about it that we expected more. Service and ambiance was great! The food was good, not great - Would go back for drinks and apps before or after an event, if nearby. Otherwise we wouldn’t make a special trip for Hearsay.

    It was an uncrowded Sunday afternoon when we arrived at this restaurant. The goal was to celebrate my birthday with a good brunch before heading to Alley Theatre to see a play. The food came out pretty quickly… but several of the dishes were lukewarm, not hot. Only one person asked for the waiter to bring her hotter grits. The rest of us just sucked it up and ate it. Her replacement grits weren’t hot either and they ended up comping her meal. My daughter’s chicken and waffles were excellent. Best dish at the table. We had dirty dishes piling up, but the waiter never cleared any of them. Nor did he ever refill anyone’s water, despite me running out midway through the meal. I asked him toward the end if they don’t do anything for birthdays, which I’d indicated on the reservation. He said they don’t see the text on the reservation, but brought me crème brûlée. He ran off so fast after dropping it off that I didn’t get to ask him for more spoons so we could share. As we were walking to the theatre, my aunt realized that she’d been overcharged by about $6. I would not go back to this location due to the service and food temperature, but so many items looked good on the menu that I would go to their Woodlands location to try something else - like the chicken and waffles or salmon and grits.

    The waiter was beyond rude. My food was wrong twice and when I asked for it to be corrected, all I received was attitude. It took forever for our drinks to be refilled, we had to go to the bar to get drinks, and there were a dozen middle school girls running in and it from the hotel that’s attached. It was a horrible atmosphere for the price of the food.

    Great atmosphere, casual but upscale. Friendly waitstaff, answered questions and happily accommodated requests. Very quick service with excellent food! Highly recommend Hearsay on the Green.

    Great place in downtown Houston! Fun cocktail menu and lots of menu options. Dined during NCAA Championship weekend and place had a great vibe with lots of sports fans on hand. Had Cheeseburger, meatballs, avocado and cucumber salad and they were all delicious + attentive service from hostess, bussers and servers. Will definitely return.

    I ordered the steak and it was bland. I had to mix it with the mashed potatoes. Too much Brussels spouts for me. My husband ordered a drink and it never came, the waitress didn't put the order in. This place is very average.

    The whole experience was wonderful! We had the spinach and artichoke dip, bacon wrapped shrimp, ahi tuna crunchy tacos and creme brûlée!! All of it was yummy! Will definitely go back.

    Parking was a bit tricky with the current construction and lack of valet space. Server was helpful in answering questions as my client had allergens and cannot eat anything with pepper. The food came out fresh and tasty. Overall, a great dining experience.

    good biz lunch. tough with construction on sidewalk. waiter was attentive but we had to shoo him away a couple times while we spoke biz. The burger was delicious! Double chbrgr i think. real good and thick. Fries were unusual. Weve been to a few Hearsays and this one didnt have the upstairs or balcony too bad. But really like the chandeliers.
