I haven't been to this restaurant is a while and forgot how much I just ADORE it. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable!
This is a Nice Place. I think I'll go back sometime.
Great food great service! Staff was amazing and helpful!
Anthony was our server and he was amazing. He provided us with the specials and always checked in on us. The food was really good as well as the drinks. Will be coming back
The food and drinks were great. Our server was extremely kind and checked on us frequently. We had a wonderful time and would definitely be back.
Great food and beautiful building. Only complaint was the noise level was a bit high. But worth it!
My cousin and I enjoyed. Always great service and always delicious food!
Second trip here and even better than the first. The French toast is scrumptious!! The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. And the live band added to the atmosphere .
Birthday lunch was great. Ceviche is fresh and we enjoyed ahi tuna sandwich. Good service as well and wasn’t very busy.
Although our dining time probably did not require a reservation, I would still recommend making one. The restaurant is small and cozy.
The lemon ricotta pancakes were excellent. Bacon was not as crispy as I’d like but still good.
The chicken and waffles were very good too. A word of caution to those who do not like bone-in chicken. This plate was all fried chicken on the bone. The crunchy outer coating was done just right and the chicken was juicy.
Great food and great service. Love the old building!!
A couple of friends and I dined here before the ballet on a Saturday evening. Reservations were easy and we were promptly seated when we arrived. Service was slow and one of my friends didn't receive one of the dishes she ordered (luckily she wasn't charged for it either). We had the roasted poblano soup (excellent), charcuterie board (excellent), shrimp and grits (yummy albeit rich with the cream sauce, cheese and bacon wrapped shrimp), and philly cheesesteak eggrolls (average). My other friend slipped and fell on the way back to the table from the restroom and we overheard other women comment on the slippery floors so be aware and careful if you are wearing heels!
The food took over an hour to come out and most of it was cold. There was no explanation of what was going on while we were waiting and it felt like they were understaffed.
Enjoyed the atmosphere. The deviled eggs were a little too tangy. The wagyu chicken wasn’t as flavorful as I had hoped but the family seemed to enjoy. I will try again if the family wants to go.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time at Hearsay Market Square. Its a neat environment in the old building. Our table was next to the stairs and by the rest rooms so unfortunately I kept getting bumped by the wait staff going up stairs.
Our waitress was appropriately attentive. The food was very good. It was good enough we'll be back! The appetizers were our favorite (Spinach Dip and the Bacon! Ooh!)
It was a tough day for the restaurant. A water main had broken and there was no water other than bottled water! They did a good job working through it. No coffee was a disappointment.
They were out of cheesecake (surprising). We had bread pudding (average) and apple empanadas (pretty good).
Overall, we would recommend Hearsay to try!
We were celebrating my best friend’s special birthday. Waitress was Zaukaria (forgive misspelling) she was great! For first time experience will definitely come back and try brunch. Thank you!
This was our first visit and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Great service. We will definitely be back.
The restaurant was not crowded and it still took an hour after ordering to receive our food. This was the second time this has happened.
Great ambiance and food. Service was great. Love the live band and small patio and 4 dollar mimosas!
We ran into someone from the kitchen that had just ended their shift. When I suggested I was looking forward to crab cakes and fries they informed me the fryer was broken and that their would be no fries. I was led to believe crab cakes were still an option. Apparently not. We asked our server to request the kitchen bake them and the kitchen said "no." I settled on the Stuffed Chicken with Braised Kale and Mac-n-Cheese as sides. The sides were amazing, but the chicken was dry. My husband chose a fish dish with broccolini and was pleased. We were sat upstairs at a two-top next to the bar. Immediately next to the table was a serving tray on it's stand holding someone's tablet and other various items. It brought the atmosphere down a notch.
Always on point..food was amazing, atmosphere was good
Valentine’s Dinner - food and atmosphere both fantastic
Hearsay was amazing as always and perfect for Valentine's day lunch.
We weren't happy with the service. We waited for quite some time to get drinks, had to flag waiting staff to ask to order after nearly half an hour. The food arrived after nearly an hour and it was good if a little cold however we did not advise the staff of this so that was on our heads that we didn't get it rectified. We were there for a 30th birthday, we left the cake and sparklers in and asked whether we could get it brought out after our meal. The waitress came out with the cake, no sparklers lit. No pre warning to start us singing and the waiting staff weren't singing either. Then set it infront of the birthday boy and tried to light the sparklers which took forever and it just got quite awkward. There was just a bit of a lack of attention to detail and acknowledgement that it was a special day for us.
Nice vibe, good ambiance and setting.
Food is good but limited brunch menu but overall decent offerings.
The food and service were great. The noise level made holding conversations difficult.
Food and drinks were delicious. Alcohol service to our table was extremely slow.
Didn’t have our reservation at first. I showed them my email, they found reservation and had given our table to someone else, but seated us right away. Very nice about it.
Food was good and so were drinks. Fairly priced.
I can't even begin to explain what a disappointment our experience was.
Great service - and the deviled eggs and lamb chops - outstanding!!!
Great place for brunch downtown. Nice band added to the atmosphere.
This location is very fun! We spent a good portion of our meal admiring the building and reading about the history. The food was good - the chicken fried steak was the best my husband has had. My chicken and waffles were good - waffles were just ok but the chicken was delicious. Drinks were excellent. Service was really rough - waitress kept disappearing and there were mistakes on food. Will try again as it was a pretty fun experience even with the lackluster service.
I have made a reservation at this place and everyone was very helpful! The food was yummy and the place itself was so beautiful! I will definitely be making another reservation here very soon!
Took 15 minutes to seat us despite reservations. It took 25 minutes after seating to get a drink.
Waiter was ver knowledgeable and friendly
Food was perfect
Great food and usually good service. This trip was the exception. Very possibly the WORST waitress I've ever had.
The only issue that we had was that the food came out of the kitchen very slow. The wait staff dress code was very loose. Some dressed nice, others were in ripped jeans. Decor and ambiance was very nice and unique feel. Food tasted great but we could tell that the shrimp were frozen. Best short rib ever with mushroom risotto and broccolini. Cases on canned goods laying on chairs near restroom. Had the potential to be upscale but definitely was not. Very cool place though. Will return.
Good brunch spot. Great bar and menu.
I love Hearsay! It is a wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious per usual:). The overall experience is always great!
