The calamari and shrimp appetizer was very good. However, the two entrées were really bad. Grits were so dense and flavorless. The bread pudding French toast I was so small no powdered sugar, and it wasn’t very hot. Definitely not worth the cost. My friend got a chicken dish, Mexican, and The chicken was dry and there was hardly any sauce. Not recommended.
Would visit here again. Close to the ICON hotel.
We have eaten here before and the food is usually great. My husband ordered the fish he was not pleased with however the remaining food was good. Our server was nice and attentive. Bring a jacket it's cold in there. Will be returning.
Our experience exceeded our expectations. Service and food was excellent.
Maybe it was just an off night, or perhaps we just got bad service, but it took us 30 minutes to get an ice water. Food was good, but the service was really bad.
Food was excellent! Busy place but our waiters were very attentive!
The food was good, but overpriced. Expect to pay $15 for deviled eggs and end up with 3 halves of eggs. If you’re a true cheese aficionado, skip the charcuterie board. However, the service and ambience were excellent. And my wagyu corn dog and Buffalo shrimp were delicious. For sure worth trying at least once. Not sure if it’s worth going to regularly however.
Bring a jacket the AC is very strong. Overall the experience was good the service was excellent. The food was just okay.
This place is nice , I went on a Wednesday so it wasn’t busy the service was nice and the food was nice not a lot of food but it was still tasty.
We had 7 people for the HRW lunch. One was in a wheel chair and our seating was easy for all involved. We had a couple of servers who were helpful and friendly. The menu options were very good with everyone enjoying their dishes. Portions were large.
Awesome ambiance. Yummy brisket egg rolls. Yummy entree. It was really cold in the building, wish I’d brought a jacket. Awesome cocktails!!! Great location. I’ll def go again.
On this particular evening, we were joining a group of people at McIntyre’s and decided that the food truck there wasn’t sufficient. We immediately booked at Hearsay instead. We ordered the ribeye and must admit that it was one of the tastiest steaks we‘ve ever had. Delicious! Our server was excellent too. Attentive and efficient! The ambiance was perfect for dining with appropriate music, not too loud. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
Hearsay is usually great for dinner, but the HRW brunch menu was awful. The food was not tatsty, clearly had been frozen for a while, and was just not worth the trouble.
Food was great. Service was great. Ambience suffered a bit by the tv directly in front of my seat just showing news throughout dinner. It was distracting and would've been better turned off.
The food was just okay, and the service was quite slow. Nothing awful by any means, but would not come back.
Great customer service and food was amazing!! Would recommend to anyone.
Out of four plates ordered we sent two back. One was the crab cakes dry and weirdly tasted. Second was shrimp and grits which had absolutely no flavor and my bacon was still raw. We reordered which took about an hour for us to get. We ordered mimosa pitcher before ordering our apps and main dishes, we got the mimosas after our meal was delivered. Only good thing I’ll say is the manager comped a lot for us bc of our experience. I don’t want to say I won’t go back but if I do I’ll definitely try a different menu instead of brunch.
Food was very good, service was very good, although it took a long time for our main entree to come out to us. But overall very good.
Food was ok, server was nice and prompt. Bar was understaffed so we didn’t receive cocktails until after first course. Overall, food wasn’t bad enough for us to complain about…but not good enough need return.
The Gouda Mac n Cheese and the Brussel Sprouts with candied bacon are AMAZING! Entrees were good, fun atmosphere, great waiter. We will be back!
Always have loved the ambiance of this place. The service is great and the food is great. Yes, I’m a regular/repeat customer!
Porkchops were very dry and hard to cut. Sides on all dishes were just mediocre. We have been there in the past and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. This visit has us rethinking if it is worth the drive downtown.
Our evening was fabulous. We ate at the bar and Cassandra and Jen took great care of us. We dined from the HRW menu and the portions were good and the food was very tasty as were the martinis and wine. Thanks for a great birthday!
Brunch was fantastic, had the restaurant weeks menu selections, best fried chicken and waffles, best bacon wrapped shrimp and grits ever.
Great food, one of the best burgers I've ever had. Really cool atmosphere.
14 year wedding anniversary
The food was not good. Service was great and ambience was ok.
The food was great! If you like bread- I would suggest the bread basket. Great atmosphere.
The food was very disappointing. “Jumbo” scallops were tiny and served over a pile of canned corn. The redfish was overcooked and under seasoned. The filet tasted like a cheap cut of meat and the shrimp and grits were just okay at best. We had high expectations for this restaurant and left feeling completely unsatisfied.
Great happy hour prices w/nice selection of appetizers. Food was delish!
We were seated immediately and our server was very attentive. Our food was good but some of the food arrived a bit cold but our server warmed it for us. Thank you! It was delicious!
We went there for Sunday brunch before the Astros game. We were sat upstairs, and I think that may have been the problem. Our waitress worked her butt off, but having to run up and down the stairs, or wait for a runner to bring her the food to serve, two things happened. Drinks took a bit of time, and when we got the food, it was not real hot.
This is in no way indicative of her, she really worked hard, as we could watch her from where we were sitting.
I think if they would have given her a runner, or at least some one to come and fill waters, things would have been much better.
All that being said, the food was tasty, and the drinks were good.............and yes, I would recommend it
My experience this time was not good. It appears to be new management. Bring back Vince!
Excellent as usual. Love the ambience and food.
We had a great time yesterday for my wife’s birthday. The manager accommodated us when we increased our party size at the last minute. Everyone had such a great time. And our guests were all asking me how I found that spot(but I wouldn’t tell them). We will definitely be going back once my wife drops the baby.
Very mediocre. If you’re looking for a casual place to eat in Houston with a better atmosphere, better food and better cocktails, keep looking.
Flavorless except the corn was excellent but you really don’t order dinner fir the vegetable. Ahi tacos were uninteresting at best shell was way over cooked, filling was absolutely flat flavorless. Scallops were ok nothing to brag about again the corn was the star different than the 1st but again do you order go out to dinner for corn🙄
Customer service was great!!! Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the items on the menu.
Great Cocktails, Fresh and perfectly seasoned food, and the service was out of this world! Can’t wait to come back!
