We were a party of 5 and had to wait 2+ hours for our food which was very disappointing they let us know they had an event going on that they prioritized over everyone else. I over heard other people also complaining of the wait time for the food. It was supposed to be a fun dinner for my husband’s birthday but we had to end up leaving because our daughter couldn’t wait anymore to eat we were all pretty hangry at that point. I unfortunately had to wait for 2 hours and in the end we had to leave and my daughter had to go with out her food which was very upsetting and ruined our mood. They did end up comping the whole order but when I received my meal it was the incorrect meal. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place the food it’s basic and not much portion and the wait time is unbelievable.

An amazing interior with room after room of fun decor and lively patrons. The menu was well rounded and the food was good.

My husband and I frequent Haywire in Dallas and was excited that a location finally opened in Austin. The location met our standards with food, ambiance, decor, and service. My only critique (more to be funny) is that this location didn’t have the toffee candy that you could grab from the hostess desk like the location in Dallas! Please bring that to the Austin location! :-)

Food was delicious. We had the Chef’s 4 and the redfish. Both were excellent. Service was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!

This is my new favorite restaurant in Austin! Every time is a great time !! Still working around the menu, so far everything I have had is amazing. Top two: Lalo Rita’s and that pork belly !

We so enjoyed our dinner at Haywire! The venison chili and cornbread were very tasty. Their happy hour wine pour was more than ample for $7. We also enjoyed the garlic-infused fillet and mac and cheese. We ended the dinner with the yummy bourbon bread pudding. Nice! btw, we were fortunate to eat in a quiet room off the lobby. Great for date night. :)

Amazing food. Great service! Espresso martinis were great and the redfish was delicious as were the fried green tomatoes.

This place is absolutely fantastic! From the nostalgic decor, the friendly staff and the AMAZING food… everything about our experience there was top notch. Our waitress Isabella was the nicest, politest and most attentive waitresses that we have had in a very long time. Thank you for making our anniversary such a memorable occasion! We will definitely be returning the next time we come to Austin.
