Hayden Block Smoke & Whiskey is a bbq joint in the heart of Kensington, Calgary, Alberta. Smoking our meat from 10-14 hours, people love our brisket but we have a selection of meats, trays and sides to choose from. Join us inside or out if the weather permits, or on our backyard whiskey garden open year round. Drinkwise we’ve got the largest whiskey list in town, and an ever-evolving cocktail list anchored by our smokey old-fashioned. We’ve also got a bunch of beer on tap, with some local favourites and international selects.

    This place has a lively vibe. The food was excellent although I would caution these portions are deceiving on size so bring your appetite. Excellent for sharing! All the staff were friendly and helpful and the whisky selection is superb! 5 out of 5, I highly recommend. A nice laid back experience

    Have been to Hayden’s Block in Kensington a handful of times and it never fails to disappoint. The food, the setvice, everything about this place is a 10/10! I forgot our servers name on April 17 at 6:00pm. Blonde, hair up, glasses. She was wonderful.

    Great experience and fantastic food. Ribs, burnt ends, and brisket were world class! Beer selection great as well.

    1 sandwhich no sides $16 is not great but the brisket did taste good. The salted caramel cheesecake was delicious. They did not have fresh coffee. The crickettes were very good.

    The food is always 10/10. Unreal Texas bbq. The Mac and Cheese is dynamite. Drinks and service were great as always. My favourite of the 3 Blocks. IYKYK.
