    We had dinner at Hawksworth last night and overall, it was a nice evening out. A few of the dishes were larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise given the price of dining out these days — always nice when it feels like you’re getting some value. That said, my main — the veal cutlet — was unfortunately overly salty. And I tend to like my food on the saltier side, so for me to say it was too salty really means something. The waitress was great about it and kindly offered to replace the dish. Shortly after, the manager came by as well, apologized, and offered the same, which I appreciated. I decided not to go for a replacement of the same item as I figured it might come out similarly, and while I considered ordering something else, I just didn’t feel up to it anymore — which is rare for me. To their credit, they comped the dish and also offered a dessert on the house. So while the dish itself was a miss, the service was absolutely excellent — thoughtful, proactive, and professional from start to finish. All in all, I’d give it 4 stars. Not a knock on the service at all, but more a reflection of the food experience that evening.

    Went for Sunday Roast and ate outside. Great/attentive/friendly server. Tasty food (au jus was exceptional) and perfectly proportioned to allow for desserts (which were also excellent!)

    You won’t find a better deal on fine dining in Vancouver than Hawksworth on Friday night. Oyster and champaign specials along with their new sea food featured menu were superb.

    Food & service were great & location very convenient. I missed the prefix dinner they used to have. A la carte menu really good, chicken, steak & salad all really good, the seafood also very fresh. Definitely go back when I’m in town again

    Hawksworth used to be incredible. Last night we needed to add a side to a tiny piece of fish that cost $50. The added rice was $18. $70 for a below average main course! Shared starters were tiny and not tasty. $550 for a below average meal and zero alcohol included in that. Certainly won’t return!

    I went here for a business lunch and the service was top notch, the environment perfect for productive conversations and the food (halibut) was delicious.

    Excellent service and delicious food—everything was perfect from start to finish! Prime rib was perfection, the seasonal veggies and Yorkshire pudding. Thank you, for such a wonderful Sunday dinner. My friends and I totally enjoyed the meal very much.
