We went to Hawksworth Restaurent specifically for the Roast Beef dinner and it was wonderful. In particular, the Yorkshire Pudding was outstanding. We also enjoyed the Basque Cheesecake. Nice restaurant with great food and attentive service. 5 stars!

From the onset this was an unmitigated disaster : As patrons our presence felt like an imposition . I asked the sommelier about what she could tell me about a wine we had selected . Response : I’ll tell you when I get to your refill ?! We were parked in a terrible spot in the line of traffic where the overwhelmed staff hurried back and forth occasionally punctuating the already terrible racket in this restaurant with sharp staccato orders from the kitchen as the service ship sank into oblivion. The service with the exception of Alexandre who was sweet and affable was universally poor , and the inauspicious beginning with the sommelier set the tone for scowling inauthentic behavior that cannot accurately be described as service . There was none . After waiting exasperated for appetizers to arrive in what felt like a decade , and I might add with no sign of the sommelier and any attempt at redemptive behaviour passing as service , we elected to leave and vote with our feet . You cannot offer the pretence of being a great restaurant without authentic service and execution both in the kitchen and in the restaurant itself . My impression was this restaurant is resting on its laurels and the apparently unhappy crew replete with scowling presentation is milking its previous glory well past shelf life . It happens …. The restaurant embraces business not the pleasure of dining at its peril . It’s a cautionary tale folks when celebrity replaces the authentic goods …. As previously stated to our perplexed sommelier / server …. We’re outta here !

We had a truly great evening at Hawksworth. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We were a party of four, including two children aged 10 and 12, and the staff were not only professional and attentive but also incredibly accommodating to our family’s needs. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented and full of flavour — and each course was delivered with perfect timing. The service was warm, thoughtful, and well-paced throughout the evening. A big thank you to the team at Hawksworth for making our dinner so memorable.

We went for the Sunday roast dinner. Every bite was great, service was wonderful and seating was generous as we had arrived doe an early sitting. Would highly recommend.

The service was very friendly and professional from the welcome to the waitress and the sommelier. Food was exceptional. Overall great value for fine dining experience. Plus can finish it off with a cocktail in the old world lobby piano bar.

The food was very good, and is on par with other fine dining restaurants (Five Sails, Boulevard, etc). However, the service was distinctly excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff made extra efforts for a memorable experience. Many thanks!
