Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Same big flavours. Now at even better prices. One, two or three courses for ridiculously good value, with dishes straight from our main menu. Perfect for a pre or post theatre bite – you choose. You’re not getting a cut-down version of the menu either - we’re talking big hitters like: 35-day dry-aged rump steak, our legendary Big Matt Burger, Charcoal Chicken Ana Mari, Roast Hake, and Ash-baked Beetroots. All mains come with a side included - pick from beef-dripping chips, baked sweet potato, buttered greens or an English Lettuce salad. There’s a solid choice of starters too (yes, Potted Beef & Bacon), and puddings that you'll regret skipping - Sticky Toffee Sundae, we’re looking at you. A little tipple? Also sorted. Let’s call it Happy Hour - you can grab a selection of drinks and cocktails, including Prosecco, Five Alive Fizz, or Canataloupe Spritz for just £6. Steaks were too salty, 1st batch of chips bought to table were undercooked and hard, waitier didnt check in or offer more drinks We normally eat at Spitalfields and always great food and service in there ..we would not eat at wood Wharf again

Honestly always such a great experience. So well run and staffed; you want for nothing in service an nothing is too much trouble. Team are exemplary, food was delicious. This is how everyone should run a restaurant.

Food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. Been here twice now and had a great time both times. Both times we opted to share the large porterhouse and it was amazing. Their sweet potato sides are also heavenly. Last time I didn't try their desert but I did this time and they were delicious.

Food cannot be faulted service certainly can't be faulted staff go above and beyond what you would normally expect if customer service... Anyone that gives less than 5* are deluded or just lying for clicks

My first time at this venue and it looked really impressive from the outside and really modern - inside it had the same ambience and design as most other Haeksmoor but this had the benefit of being a level access venue Once inside theatre were warm and friendly ancho wax straight to my table and the waiting. staff were attentive , pleasant but not intrusive and always the food was excellent

We had yet another amazing experience at Hawksmoor Woodwharf. The staff are just so lovely, from the main reception to the servers - all great. The steaks were cooked to perfection as always, we will surely be back.
