   First time ordering lobster, paid (imo) a lot of money for it and got not much lobster, know not to bother next time. Steak was very very good and great size. Shame it doesn't come with or state on menu that when you pay nearly £40 for a steak that's all you get on the plate. All sides are extra. The suprise birthday treat was a very good touch and the staff are great

   Great staff who were not pushy at all, nice restaurant. Although the food was nice, it is not great value for money as the portions are small. Overpriced food and cocktails and nothing complimentary was given even though we were celebrating a birthday.

   The restaurant is situated in a fabulous setting surrounded by water , which was great on a very hot day . The food was outstanding and Elen our waitress was fabulous delivering a superb experience.

   Service was outstanding. We waited for nothing and there was always someone to help. The food came quickly & the chateaubriand was cooked perfectly & well worth the premium paid for this cut of meat.

    A lovely venue, we went to eat there for my Wife's birthday and the food was really good, we had Oysters to start and although not the biggest one's we've had, they were lovely. The staff were very busy there is lots of them so we had a variety of servers most of which were really good I did order a beer from one who passed by and asked if we needed anything but it never arrived, the waiter who originally served us was really go though. We ordered Fillet steaks for Main but they ran out which is odd for a Steak restaurant, we had the Skillet Fillet steak instead which was lovely. It is very busy and quite loud so if you want a quite place go elsewhere, we enjoyed it overall though and the food was great.

    This was the first time my wife and I had an opportunity to go for dinner together in a few months Was also nice, as was being paid for by work as a reward! We shared a large Porterhouse which was cooked to perfection. Alongside some mushrooms, spinach and amazing marrow gravy; it was really brilliant. Staff really attentive and polite.

    I have visited most of the hawksmoor restaurants and always enjoyed. This was my Fiancé birthday meal both had roast beef. Absolutely beautiful roast full of flavour. Would rank it up with some of the best roast dinners I’ve had. Amazing service. Celebrating my other half’s birthday and he was made to feel special with a birthday greeting on arrival and drinks on the house as a birthday gesture brilliant will be back.

    It made for an amazing 2nd date venue. The food was stunning, the staff were so friendly and helpful, they even picked up on the fact that we were on a date and made a fuss of us. They were attentive and personable. The restaurant is very very nice and gave us exactly what we wanted. My date said it was the best steak he had ever had. Will definitely come again.

    Need more stars; 5 isn't enough. Hawksmoor is absolutely amazing. We ate in some excellent places during our break in London, but Hawksmoor is the one I'd go back to first. The beef carpaccio was the best I've ever had; those little pickled mushrooms and the fried crispy onions were a fantastic touch. My friend also raved about her Dorset crab on toast. We both had the medium-rare roast beef Sunday lunch, and it was truly delicious. Both had the peanut butter shortbread with salted caramel ice cream for dessert, and wondered if anyone would notice - or care - if we licked the plates (we didn't, but it was close.) It was also great to see such a fantastic selection of wines and soft drinks, we were spoilt for choice. Something personal to us was discovering the Welsh connection, which we learned from the Hawksmoor cookery book that I couldn't resist buying. My beef carpaccio is in it! I shan't try to make it; I'll leave that up to the experts. Another lovely touch were the individual stories on the back of the menus - mine was about Queenie Watts and the 'Isle of Dogs blues'. Speaking of the menus, I've never seen such lovely presentation.. Each folder looked like a very classy book you could display on your bookshelf. I didn't want to give them back .... but whilst our lovely server Felipe was happy to let me keep the printed menu, I didn't think I'd get away with asking for the rest of them as well! It's safe to say Hawksmoor is my new favourite restaurant. Any chance you could open up in Cardiff?

    Purpose of my booking was to treat a friend for their birthday and we both love a Sunday roast.  The whole thing was faultless from the greeting at the door, to the table, our waiter, the food and the goodbye on leaving.  The roast was perfect, veg nicely cooked and tasty, the beef lovely, the gravy ample, potatoes tasty a proper plate full of food which is as it should be and oh my goodness that peanut butter shortbread dessert can only be described as a plate licker! (don't worry I didn't lower the tone of the place but there isn't a higher compliment for a dessert). As to the price, we had everything we wanted and was pleasantly surprised that the price was satisfactory too. My friend was so impressed she wants us to visit monthly. I will certainly be bringing people again, not just for Sunday lunch as I also want to try the a la carte menu too. Thank you to you and your team, for me you got it all right.

    Went for a birthday meal, the service was incredible! Our waiter [can’t remember his name :(] was so attentive and always offered to give recommendations or explanations. The rest of the term were incredibly accommodating too! I don’t even like steak but this was one of the best I’ve ever had and my partner said it was the best he’s ever had! great meal, the location is super nice too! Definitely a place to go :)

    Disappointed that all deserts seemed to come with nuts in., and the chicken says with traditional timings but did not have potatoes and veg as standard. Food was lovely though. Service was amazing.

    Super evening with excellent service. I'm coeliac and was really disappointed that there was no gluten free bread available which considerably limited the choice of starters. It's a long time since I've been to a restaurant and couldn't get bread!

    We spent a small fortune there and still no birthday surprise for my sister, whom we was there celebrating. Your website and the concierge both asked if it were a special occasion, yet she left feeling disheartened and disappointed by the restaurants lack of efforts to make her birthday experience at Hawksmoor feel special; a restaurant she was so excited to go to and choose for her birthday. Not even a slice of cake with a candle. We spent over £400 between three people and nothing. Very disappointing.
