Both couples thought the meal we received was excellent in preparation and presentation. The meals we ordered were wonderful, especially the French onion soup. My petite filet mignon was cooked to perfection with Bernaise sauce to enhance. Both couples will certainly return, since this was a dining experience, not just a normal dinner out. The ambiance with period decor also sets the Harris Ranch apart from the ordinary.
my boyfriend and I love it here. It’s close to home and we have made this our place of choice for our anniversary dinner. The food is always great and the mac & cheese is the best!
Absolutely love Harris Ranch the food the Inn it’s all amazing and all the staff no matter what Dept they work in is amazing
Wonderful ambiance combined with excellent food and outstanding service. How does it get any better!!!
I love the experience. It was very relaxing. Just needs a little more variety on the food.
Food was perfect. Will and have recommended to others. My only down fall I felt personally was the lighting at the booths were just a little to low for the sight.
Husband and I loved it! We will definitely be back.
My husband and I made reservations for 8:15pm Valentines Day, 2 months in advance. We were very excited as neither had been before and heard their steaks were amazing. We arrived at 7:50pm checked in at the steak house and she said “you can go to the bar and we will come get you” we went to the bar and waited for about 20 minutes for a seat there. We sat and ordered a couple drinks and were enjoying each others company when we realized it was almost 9pm so my husband walked over and checked in she said “not ready yet” we just began to get a little upset by 9:20 an hour after our reservation when my husband walked back over and they set us down. The waitress came pretty quick and she was great, none of this had anything to do with her. She took our order and we got our salads within 15 minutes of sitting down. We then waited 45 minutes for our food. It was 10:15. Who wants to eat a $200 meal at 10:15pm? My filet was perfect but my husbands t bone was over cooked. We are very disappointed in their lack of keeping a reservation we had made months in advance and underwhelmed with the food. The waitress and the lemon drops were the best part of our night. We spent $200 to get home from dinner at midnight. Very disappointed.
This was the second time my wife and I have gone there for valentine's dinner. Last year was the best all around. This year my reservation was for 7pm we didn't get our table till nearly 9pm. Then after we ordered and after several apologies we finally got our food nearly an hour later. Very unpleasant experience and it wasn't just us, another couple next to us had it worse. She didn't even eat her dinner because it wasn't cooked to her satisfaction while her husband had to eat his dinner alone.
We waited an hour to get food, another hour to get check. Guest came before and after us... left before us. Wife’s steak was cooked well done as I ordered medium rare... steak looked and tasted boiled. No char marks what so ever. Been coming here for Vday past 15 years, this was not pleasant.
Went there for Valentine. Filet mignon was like butter. We enjoyed it
This was amazing anniversary dinner! Yes its pricey but well worth it! We were seated fast and our order didnt take that long to be ready. I would highly recommend Harris Ranch!
Birthday Dinner excellent as always!
Very expensive for the amount of food you get . 4 people and we each split the dinners and it was still 145.00 went here with friends for Valentine’s Day because I had 3 gift cards used them all .
Ate here three nights in a row on business trip. All of the staff was friendly and genuine. Second night my wife was sick and they helped me pick some things she could eat and take back to room. Very helpful. Will stay and eat here again.
Prime rib was outstanding, moist, tender, and very tasty. Fillet was likewise one of the best we’ve ever had
Love their bone-in ribeye. Juicy and flavorful. You can't beat that!
Best steak ever. Service was great.
Harris Ranch has a dilemma: how to serve as a "roadside" restaurant as well as a fine dining establishment. We have eaten at Harris Ranch many times and have always found the food and service excellent. Last night: not so excellent as a "fine dining" restaurant. On the service side, there were little things that a fine dining establishment would provide, such as the waiter refilling wine glasses when they were low or empty, which was not done, and the ambiance suffered because of the clanking of silverware as the maître d' sorted knives, forks and spoons as they came out of the dishwasher. As usual, the food and surroundings were wonderful but these little lapses took away from the fine dining experience.
One of the best road trip dining experiences I’ve experienced. Great ambiance. Prime cuts of steak cooked to perfection. Huge wine and dessert selection. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Can't beat the beef. Very nice western decor. Service was terrific. Wine list outstanding.
Very good steaks!
We went for my birthday and reserved a table for 5 adults and one baby. Very easy to make and modify reservations. We had two parties meeting halfway (Santa Cruz and Los Angeles) and one person mentioned this place. They also have rooms to include a family room but they didn't have one available to accommodate a pet. So we went with the family room at NAS Lemoore. We arrived 30 minutes early (they open at 5pm and our res was for 5:30) on Saturday evening. We were seated almost immediately. Nice environment. The drinks were delish (a take on a Long Island Ice tea, Napa Valley merlot) and the. menu was a bit shocking to look at (price wise) but we'll worth it. The smallest rib eye is 14oz. The sides were yummy (gouda mac n cheese, mashed garlic red potatoes, cinnamon butternut squash, and scrumptious garlic roasted broccoli). And I had a had a fab glass of Justin Cab with dinner. Dessert was a complimentary slice of a chocolate mousse cake that was passed around the table twice (that should tell you how stuffed we were that it literally went around the table twice). The service was great to include the nice bus boy. We had so much leftovers we intended to make steak and eggs the next morning but didn't. The ONLY complaint was the kids meal. Tip medallions were smoked and the sides (butternut and spaghetti squash) were not good (at all. ...thank goodness the side was NOT what the adults got). And it was an entire plate of food for about $12+. The potatoes were good. Suffice to say the dog benefitted from birthday dinner too. Other than that rather minor thing it was a great experience and we will be back. Oh, and the rib eye medium rare, prime rib medium well, and fillet medium rare were all excellent! Fillet was so tender and of course the rib eye had fantastical marbling and you just wanted to do the yummy dance with each mouth watering bite. Well. Okay. The wine helped too. Definitely enjoyed that Justin Cab. Enjoy! You won't be disappointed.
Wonderful food, atmosphere and service! Always a great stop when traveling I-5 in Central California
our server was very understanding of our extra time to visit, ince we hadnt seen one another in years!
thank you jenny...you were most helpful and patient.
Professional friendly staff and great food plus nice ambience
From the time I came in I felt welcomed and very comfortable. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. I had a 20 oz. T-bone steak and I ate the whole thing. I suggest the House Grill seasoning. The sides also come in generous portions.
Everything was wonderful. The food was exceptional. The customer service was fantastic. Harris Ranch is the hidden gem of the valley.
We’ve been here before, so decided to stay at the Ranch and have dinner. Great service and food was hot.
Our steaks were done perfectly. The crabcakes were exceptional. There was a crying baby which made the dining experience a little nerve racking but the baby settled down after 20 min. Service was very good. Our wait team was a sister/ brother combination. (Vivian & Fabian). Very attentive to our needs...fabulous!
very nice and felt very happy. i strongly recommend this restaurant.
What a gem of a restaurant!!! I will make a point of stopping here every time I drive from LA to the Bay Area!!! Who could guess such a nice restaurant is right off the freeway in such a sparsely populated part of the state. Food was truly so fresh and outstanding. Our server Anjelica allowed us to customize everything due to some food allergies and it was spot on. She provided great service and the entire team there. It’s definitely worth stopping for lunch or dinner!!!
Was great overall, Dec 31st dinner was great, Monday Breakfast took 1 hour to be served.
Overall, our experience was very good. The prices were high due to the restaurant serving everything ala carte. We split a salad and a vegetable to keep the cost somewhat reasonable.
Enjoyed every bit of our New Year's Eve Dinner. This is the second year My Wife & I celebrated My Birthday Dinner (Birthday is New Year's Day) with You. We would like to give a Special "Thank You" to Vivian in The Steak House, for the great service, being so nice & courteous, and just overall adding to our Dining Experience.
exceptional!!
We drive 4 hours to eat at Harris Ranch! Its always worth it for the cajun filet tips!
Overall a nice meal, especially given the location in the central valley. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The service was warm and wonderful, although the food was lacking a bit. Good salads, bread is delicious. Unfortunately crab cakes were made with the shredded meat, no chunks. Temperature was a bit of a struggle. Squash soup was tasty but a teeny bit cold. Champagne split was chilled but not cold enough. Garlic broccoli with Parmesan came out with no garlic or parm, but still tasty. Steaks seemed to be good. The waitress made the whole thing a lovely experience, despite the minor food issues.
Delicious food well priced
