Harp & Crown
Food and every were great! Everyone was having a good time
We started downstairs for happy hour. I had no idea they had a bowling alley downstairs next to the bar. The art decor is so chic and I love it. The cocktail drinks were quite small but made well. We then proceeded to dinner on the regular level. The food was really good. I would definitely come back for HH and apps.
Best place to visit, staff was so friendly and helpful. Great food. Everything was so amazing!
Food was very good but so rich you almost felt sick afterwards. Still very tasty but had to roll home.
The menu promises more than the food offers in actual quality. No dish was outstanding, many were mediocre.
Great brunch a huge variety great value great service
Had 1:45 reservation and had to wait 20 min for the table. We were 7 people and were put at a table where we all had to get out of a long booth each time anyone want to go to the buffet. The place was so loud we could talk and the waitress was nice but not on top of things like bringing creamer for the coffee or freaking up the coffee. The buffet was busy at first but then when I wanted an omelette there was no one Manning the omelet station and they ran out of spinach and other greens. The food looked like it was all left overs on the buffet— mushed together, greasy and tired. And there were no plates —until I asked two separate times for plates. The staff were nice and they tried to be helpful but the place isn’t run well.
On the positive side, we went for my daughter’s 27th birthday and she was happy. They brought out a doughnut with a sparkler in top ( even though we were still eating out main meal and not ready for dessert.) the doughnut was cute. Then they said they were closing the buffet and we rushed to get some dessert before it was taken away.
The atmosphere is eclectic and cool, but for $28/pp it wasn’t worth it.
Possibly the best brunch out there! It’s buffet style but everything is just exceptional! The waffles are amazing!
Harp and Crown never disappoints. This is my second Valentines weekend dining for brunch. Even though it is buffet style the staff is so friendly and helpful. Our waitress gave us GREAT service. I will definitely be back!
Great food and ambiance!
I had a lovely time, due to a slightly unfortunate change to my reservation the manager and hosts were so lovely and generous. Food was delicious for brunch and the ambiance was perfect! Virginia was a lovely server and was so attentive and sweet. We loved our time and will definitely come back! Thank you for the birthday drink and desert as well!
Food was very good. The atmosphere really nice and the interior is wonderfully designed. We were near the front door which is our only complaint really. There was extremely cold air coming in almost constantly which made for an unpleasant experience.
Delicious food and an energetic fun atmosphere. Only thing that was kind of annoying was that they seated three separate couples at a long table for six.
Always good food and cheerful environs at Harp & Crown
We were sat in the atrium which was freezing cold with the door constantly opening and closing. I suggest the owners look into a more insulating entry system instead of curtains. They don't do much to keep the cold out. The food was decent and the waitress we had was absolutely wonderful, but being seated in the cold really tainted our experience.
Tried to seat us near the drafty front door. Got moved to the back to a shared table. Big table legs to straddle. Red wine served cold. Sent back for something room temperature. Waiter and manager apologized. Roasted beet salad, scallops were delicious. Interesting space, low lighting, ridiculously small, faint print on menu. A bit pricey but convenient to Broad Street-area cultural venues and parking.
Super fun atmosphere. Lots of veggie forward options and small plates to share. Food was mostly terrific and the service was on point. Definitely going back.
Excellent service from the time we got there. Food was very high quality. Definitely not the typical brunch. I highly recommend.
I was looking for a brunch spot where my good friends and I could get together for good food and a good time. I came across Harp & Crown and excited by the brunch offerings that were listed. This place far exceeded my expectations. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, with positive vibes. The food was out of this world. There were offerings to satisfy every taste, and each item was expertly prepared and tasty. The fried chicken was so tender and flavorful, the cauliflower tasted like a dream come true, and there were made to order eggs and omelets. Everything was fresh. Although this was my first time coming, it will not be my last. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Brunch was fantastic. The only issue I had was being seated at a table with other customers when I saw plenty of booths available which were being used for other parties of 2. If I didn't have to listen to someone else's conversation the whole time, this easily would've been 5 stars from me. Next time I would definitely ask for a booth in advance.
Everything was great expect our table. It was in the front of the restaurant in between two doors so it was very drafty and a lot of foot traffic. The food was great, the service was fine and the vibe of the place was perfect!
Definitely a great date night spot!
We got the chefs tasting menu and it was AMAZING. Value, fast, and experience each made it extremely worth it. Our server was very friends and helpful. Despite the restaurant being somewhat loud (we assume because of Valentine’s Day) it was a great experience
It was a confusing visit. I had seen the restaurant on this app and it was beautiful. We arrive for Valentine's Day dinner and they say that we will be seated in the speakeasy, which was a crowded and dingy looking basement. Going from the beautiful restaurant to the downstairs was so disappointing. You couldn't move without apologizing to the table next to you. The food was great, but the atmosphere ruined it.
This place , the food, the service and underground bar are all incredible. I highly recommend this spot for an overall great experience and the perfect date night spot
Great spot for the wife and I. Been to a bunch of cool places in Philly and this one hit it out of the park
We tried the chef’s tasting menu - it was AMAZING!! Great food & service in an absolutely beautiful space. Highly recommend.
Harp and Crown has some of the best food deals during happy hour that I’ve seen in Philly! Their happy hour drink prices aren’t as good of a deal since the drinks are smaller (e.g. 10-ish oz beer pour for $5 instead of a regular pint at the regular price of $7). The downstairs bar has a really neat speakeasy feel to it (plus a couple of bowling lanes). The happy hour Mac and cheese and lamb meatball dishes were both great! The butter lettuce salad was also good (from the regular menu, not on the happy hour one).
Amazing and fresh buffet, service was impeccable and the ambience could not have been better. Clean bathrooms are always good.
Perfect brunch experience for a group. There is something for everyone at a great price! I will definitely be coming back.
The buffet is amazing. There are so many delicious options to choose from. I specifically loved the yogurt jars, and the $6 bellinis/mimosas!
The tables were a little awkward but overall the food and space was excellent!
The restaurant is beautiful! We sat in the front garden room which was quieter, but the bar side looked like a lot fun. Small plates and pizza were delicious. Tuna and octopus dishes were especially tasty. Definitely plan on going back to sit at the bar.
After some difficulty with a table assignment we were helped by a very gracious manager who got us situated. The food was very good and the service was as well.
One of the best date places. Amazing atmosphere and food was awesome!!
Great place to eat and drink. Food was excellent and service was great. Seating is a little odd for small groups.
We loved our pizza, but the squid appetizer was so tiny and had random french fries in it.
We also ordered the mac n cheese which was incredible.
The food was great and the atmosphere was good for date night.
The only negative thing I can say is my reservation was at 8p but we didn’t get seated until 8:40p and not even in the main dining area they sat us downstairs at a table in front of the AC unit that blew directly at the table BUT Everything else (Food, cocktails, service, etc) was great!
The food was very good, so definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere was very lively, but a bit noisy. I also wasn't a big fan of the communal dining setup. Bottom line, if you're looking for a good place for happy hour, or a group of friends, this should definitely be on your list. However, if you're going on a first date, or want to actually have a conversation with the person you're with, I might suggest someplace a little more intimate.
Had a reservation but waited about 45 minutes to be seated, and we had arrived very ready to eat so the wait put a damper on the moods
