Harp & Crown
Loved the food and atmosphere, it had a lounge/restaurant vibe. I can't wait to go again.
Harp and Crown was great for restaurant week. We tried a little bit of everything with the tasting menu. The only downfall was the seating. It was not romantic what so ever. We were seated basically in a row with several other people dining on what was a big couch and we were all back to back. I bumped elbows with the person sitting next to/behind me several times. We also got our feet stepped on plenty of times to agree to not come with only 2 people anymore, only a group.
We had a reservation and we were sat at a table in the front by the kitchen door, which was noisy and didn't have the same ambience as the inside of the restaurant. We asked if there was an other place we could be sat and the hostess informed us that there was a bar with full dinner service down there, so we sat down there and the ambience was even cooler. They have a two lane bowling alley and the bar downstairs is a really cool vibe. I'm really glad the hostess let us know it existed.
A decent restaurant to visit, the layout is open so it gets drafty on cold days. The drinks are great, but too small for the price they charge. Overall, it’s a nice place to go and share a meal with a friend or loved one.
The meal was great, the restaurant week seven course meal was a great value and delicious. The bench seating on the side of the restaurant is a little odd, and some of the food was not as hot as we would have liked, but it was exceptional otherwise.
Birthday and we were Very happy that the music was low and we could talk to each other without yelling
This place does a brunch buffet the way it should be. The bar is used for the buffet and it’s fit for foodies. It was a great way to end our weekend trip. Highly recommend!
This was my first time dining at Harp & Crown and it was absolutely outstanding! My entire party loved every single plate that we ordered. Will definitely be coming back to try more things on the menu. Atmosphere was also awesome and definitely Instagram-worthy :)
Amazing food. Try the chef recommended tasting menu. It was outstanding!!
Nice Meal, good options and good service. Great happy hour prices
Nothing was spectacular, at best it was just fine. We got seated late and told to go to the bar to get a drink while we waited - but there was no room at the bar and couldn’t get anything there. The booth we were seated at was very cramped and uncomfortable. My first glass was dirty. We got the tasting menu and there was a lot of food but nothing stuck out. It was pretty bland overall. The drinks weren’t worth the price - very weak.
It was cute you knowwwww
My fiance and I went to Harp & Crown on a date night and it was wonderful! The menu is ever changing but we got the Romaine & Endive salad, Lamb meatballs, Octopus, Braised Short Rib & The Spicy Fried Chicken. The octopus and the braised short rib didn't have much flavor, but those lamb meatballs were absolutely wonderful! The flavor was bursting and the Fried Chicken, though often seen as basic, was incredibly yummy!! The restaurant is the perfect vibe for a Date Night. It felt like a lovely little hidden gem, speakeasy style. Low-lighting, enriched leather and decor are perfect for mood setting. We enjoyed a few games of bowling on the lower level after dinner and that was a nice ending to a memorable date night.
The food was very good. The waffles and chicken for brunch were amazing. It was our first time there and it was very crowded, so even though we had reservations we had to wait about 30 minutes. The good thing is that it was worth the wait.
Birthday! We went here for a friends birthday! The service was great and the food was awesome!
Great restaurant overall but not my thing for brunch. Didn't realize they didn't have an individualized menu - brunch is buffet ONLY. Just be prepared for that if you go. Brunch is $28 - drinks (except juice) not included.
Although the quality of the food itself was great, the brunch was unlimited, and the food offerings are 'hipster/creative' (ex - donut wall, etc.) I don't think it was a great value.
The buffet food is offered individually or unprepared. For example, there is smoked salmon, toast, and eggs but all at different stations so to built an appetizable plate you have to go to the different stations which take some time - especially if you want anything cooked, such as an scrambled eggs or an omelette, you'll have to fight the crowds and lines - the buffet area is not laid out well.
Also, my friend and I didn't eat enough to feel as if the $28 price tag was justified. But the atmosphere was amazing. We sat in the indoor porch area right as you walk in so it was a fun and instagrammable experience.
To be honest the venue is lovely, however, the price was pretty unbelievable for a brunch. This is a small thing but when you're paying this much you expect to have everything at your fingertips, I waited 15 minutes for them to fill the cream cheese for bagels (which is a must), I'm not sure what would take so long... Probably not somewhere I would go again when you can get some great brunch options at half or even quarter the price.
We were absolutely blown away by the atmosphere! The side seating for two was perfect for a date night! The food choices and style were super unique and delicious and the drinks were some of the best we’ve ever had! We’ll be coming back!
Unfortunately the table we would have been seated at had paid and did not leave their seats - making us wait 30 minutes with a reservation .. that being said we were compensated greatly for our time .. which shows that they know how to take care of their customers .. the food, waiter, ambiance was amazing - we will definitely be back!
Food to waitstaff were great. Bowling Alley in basement for extra sexy appeal. Happy hour on weekends until 7p. Wild visit again
The food was really good. We went for brunch and it was buffet style. Fried chicken and waffles were my favorite. Great selection of food but not too much and overwhelming. The staff was really nice. The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t fill up our waters too often. We had to ask a few times.
Everything was lovely except for the fact that our table was near the door. It was a bit chilly at times, but everything else was excellent.
Great upscale brunch with a selection that is sure to please a variety of palates.
My husband and I went for Saturday brunch while in the city for the weekend and everything was amazing! Food was amazing the quality variety and flavors were out of this world! Our waiter was perfect and attentive, it was our first time there and surely won’t be our last! Highly recommend going.
The food and cocktails were very good, though not spectacular. The real downside is the cramped side wall bench seating. The pairs of seats are too tightly spaced if you happen to be seated next to a larger person at the next table, as I was. At this price level, there should be a little more comfort.
Our waitress was AMAZING. I wish I remembered her name because she deserves recognition, had such a great attitude. The hostess team was a bit snobby, felt very uncomfortable. Regardless I had a great experience and will recommend.
Great food and atmosphere but for large groups their method of serving food as it’s ready but also only within the course groups makes the timing weird. If someone only ordered large plates they wouldn’t be eating at all until after anyone who ordered a small plate already had theirs, and the nature of the menu is set up so treat you order multiple small plates. People who don’t end up waiting way too long.
Had reservation at 815, but they kept trying to tell me it was for 830. It wasn’t. Didn’t seat me until 9. Wouldn’t even send a server over for drink orders even though they said they would. Food was good but the service left a bad taste in my mouth.
Another really good meal at one of our CC favorites.
I invited my family from out of town to brunch knowing how great this place has been from past experiences. Unfortunately, this time the six of us were forced to sit with another couple at an 8 top table. It made for an awkward dining experience. Not only was this situation awkward, but when the couple finished their meal and left, we asked if we could spread out to be more comfortable and the staff said no. They claim that there is “communal seating” which I have never heard of or seen in my past experiences at Harp and Crown. I am very disappointed in this dining experience and do not plan to return.
We visited for Sunday brunch on a referral from a friend, and we had a great meal. Try the fried chicken & waffles and the "dress your own donut" station. Everything was fresh and the drinks - Bellinis & Mimosas were very good. Make reservations so you're not waiting.
Very cool place. Hope to return soon
This place was a mad house. It was very very loud. Our server was okay but nothing outstanding. Food arrives as it’s ready. I get that but nothing that we ordered arrived hot. We also received very underdone fried chicken. They replaced it but it took a while. Never offered anything for our trouble. For the price of this meal the food service and ambience offered no value. I would never go again.
All my friends from out of town came in for our annual Christmas dinner and were NOT disappointed! Amazing service, cocktails and the prix fix is a great value!
The atmosphere of this restaurant was top notch. However we were a little disappointed in some of the food. I can definitely appreciate a pretentious restaurant as long as the execution is there. Unfortunately it wasn't for Harp & Crown (at least from the food we ordered). It seemed a common theme was lack of seasoning and under cooked vegetables (however the squash was extremely over cooked.. Literally burned). I will say the service was great and the cocktails were exceptional. All that being said, we may visit again for the atmosphere and cocktails but we'll be eating elsewhere.
Definitely going back!
Food and ambiance was absolutely phenomenal!!! Everyone in my group said they will come back for brunch again. Superb!!!
Delicious! There were so many options all beautifully presented in a unique and attractive setting. Great spot for family brunch!
