In the completely renovated space located on Sansom Street between 15th and 16th streets, Harp & Crown will bring together old-world touches of charm and luxury with modern sensibility and functionality. Its glass-façade, 24-foot ceilings, and four chandeliers on the ground floor are glamorous pieces that will be balanced with funky vintage wallpaper and leather club chairs, millwork and natural tones throughout the ground floor. The result is a comfortably refined space that helps to highlight seasonal ingredients and global cuisines. Made a Saturday night reservation for a birthday celebration and was seated right on time. Wait staff was friendly and efficient-orders taken and delivered in a timely manner, neither rushed nor waiting. Food was excellent. There was not one dish from toasts and small plates to entrees that wasn't truly delicious. The scallops were outstanding. Leave room for the cookie and milk dessert. No really. Not kidding. There were only two issues I had; light and noise. We were seated at a round table and I could not hear the person opposite me speaking including our waitress. The table was also very dark. These eyes may be over 40, but the youngin's had to use the flashlight on their phones to read the menu as well. The food was good, but, given the lack of lumens, some of it wasn't easily identifiable. A few candles would have gone a long way. Not a deal breaker though and I would definitely go back.

Very efficient and professional waitstaff service. Delicious cocktails from the bar, but surprisingly uninspired dishes coming from the kitchen. Two-tops along the edge have an awkward side-by-side seating configuration. Best for drinks.

Given the COVID -19 virus- feedback/ suggestion was given to brown-haired manager to provide paper towel in the bathroom and to put a sign on the door leaving the bathroom that states “use paper towel to open the door “, the suggestion was hardly acknowledged. The food and service was very good but with no sneeze guards over the food and a lack of concern for public safety I may think twice about returning.

We had a terrible experience. I’ve been before and it was perfect. The management and servers were incredibly rude. We were inconveniencing the server by our presence. We had asked to be near another table and made the request, and they couldn’t accommodate even though we’d put the request in with the rude person on the phone earlier in the day. That’s ok they could t accommodate but the fact that they were consistently rude in our service was terrible. One of our guests has a life threatening gluten allergy, and they could NOT have cared less. The manager said he doesn’t know because he floats from restaurants to restaurant. Literally NO ONE could come and give us info on what is gluten free. Unacceptable in this day in age. So sad.

I was disappointed with Harp & Crown after reading the reviews and looking at the menu. Mostly, it had to do with them not having a table for us despite our reservation. First we were told to hang out at the bar while the people at our table paid the check. This was impossible since the bar was overflowing with people. After 10 minutes, the hostess said the table seemed to be stuck and we could go down to the "speakeasy" (basement) instead if we wished. Since there was no choice and we had concert plans we decided to go downstairs. It was dark, loud and cold and the tables were quite small for dinner. The servers were nice but they were largely busy cleaning up after a private party that had been there for happy hour so it was a little hit and miss. The table was so small and the food came out all at once so they literally stacked the food on top of each other which made it impossible to really enjoy or see what we were eating. The starters (hamachi and octopus) were the highlight because the pizza was lukewarm and overly cheesy. The cauliflower was good but cold. The cocktails were very lackluster without any of the flavor the descriptions on the menu promised. All in all, we were disappointed. I would return if I could count on a real table, get the food to the table while warm and if they would just turn up the lights a bit!

Party of 6 decided to do the chef's selections option ---- and WITH NO REGRETS. Absolutely a great time --- and fantastic selection of food was presented to us. We all enjoyed every course! If one of us was not keen on a selection --- it was still devoured by others. Thank you Harp & Crown. It was a business dinner --- and we are all now close friends! Particularly enjoyed the pizza and roasted cauliflower of all things were just insanely awesome.

The food was great. The timing was poor. Our first two plates came out in five minutes, but the pizza was brought out over an hour after we had finished the first plates. Whoever designed the seats on the wall with the round tops was a sadist. The tables are bolted to the seat and cover about cover less than half your body when seated. I had to sit on a pillow, take off my shoes, sit yoga style on the seat and contort my body to be anywhere near my plate. This made for a thoroughly miserable eating experience. Why does food quality matter, when you can't enjoy eating it? We could not change seats because the restaurant was full.

Love the decoration. Love the idea of healthy farm/table seasonal options. Also, a big thanks for being sensitive to our parties sensitivities (gluten/tree nuts). The wine was lovely as were the beets. Most of us were very happy with our food. Unfortunately, we had one glitch- the birthday girls dinner came out all wrong and had to be remade, the timing thing for how dishes come out is a tad awkward by my opinion. But, we were very happy that the meal was in fact completely remade and delivered by a very professional and attentive manager. Thumbs up to his ability to read a room!! If I could change anything maybe a little more light, a little less noise and draft. Thanks again for a memorable evening for this particular and picky type family! Hope the restaurant has loads of success.

The vibe is hip, the bar drinks are terrific, and the food is outstanding. My only complaint is the odd seating for two alongside the wall opposite the bar. The seats were extremely uncomfortable, and brought down the score for this restaurant. When making a reservation for two, ask for a normal table, and not the cabaret-like seats.

Brunch was great! Delicious and quite a variety. Only minor irritant was that we were seated by the door and despite the heavy curtains, we received a blast of cold air each time a group entered/left. This happened the first time I ate there as well. I run cold meaning this is less than ideal. Next brunch will request a table further inside the restaurant! (Or a blanket.)

I had friends come in to town for the night and we were excited for dinner. We arrived at 8:50 for a 9pm reservation. There was a sign on the door that said “closed for a private event.” I went to the door and the bouncer told me the restaurant was closed. I told him I had a reservation and he said “No, you don’t.” I told him I had confirmation and he said “I don’t care.” He then proceeded to tell me I must’ve made a reservation at Giuseppe & Sons instead on Harp and Crown. He was rude and condescending and I won’t be back.

This was my second experience there. The first time the staff was completely and 100% rude. Thought it might have been that day only, but yesterday it was the same thing. It is not right to talk to the customers with cockiness, while being rude. The cooks in the bar area were the only attending people.

Great food, service and quality. My main criticism would be the lighting. As much as keeping it dark keeps it more intimate especially for at night, it was a little too dark. Needed cell flash lights to see the menu. It is on the pricey side, but good quality and to be expected for center city. Overall, I’d recommend even for a larger party like we had.

I'm not sure which I loved more, the ambiance or the food. The buffet style brunch has a delicious selection of brunch items that is sure to please every guest in your party (and for only $28 per person you can't go wrong). The staff is very attentive and welcoming, making the experience that much better. Harp & Crown is definitely a must try!

We started downstairs for happy hour. I had no idea they had a bowling alley downstairs next to the bar. The art decor is so chic and I love it. The cocktail drinks were quite small but made well. We then proceeded to dinner on the regular level. The food was really good. I would definitely come back for HH and apps.

Had 1:45 reservation and had to wait 20 min for the table. We were 7 people and were put at a table where we all had to get out of a long booth each time anyone want to go to the buffet. The place was so loud we could talk and the waitress was nice but not on top of things like bringing creamer for the coffee or freaking up the coffee. The buffet was busy at first but then when I wanted an omelette there was no one Manning the omelet station and they ran out of spinach and other greens. The food looked like it was all left overs on the buffet— mushed together, greasy and tired. And there were no plates —until I asked two separate times for plates. The staff were nice and they tried to be helpful but the place isn’t run well. On the positive side, we went for my daughter’s 27th birthday and she was happy. They brought out a doughnut with a sparkler in top ( even though we were still eating out main meal and not ready for dessert.) the doughnut was cute. Then they said they were closing the buffet and we rushed to get some dessert before it was taken away. The atmosphere is eclectic and cool, but for $28/pp it wasn’t worth it.
