Awesome! Had a great time. Food and atmosphere are awesome! Outside patios are amazing!
Harlowe MXM was just okay. The fried oysters were the best dish we had between the ribs, lobster roll and sirloin. I wouldn’t go back. The service was slow and it took longer to get drinks than our food. The price of the menu doesn’t match the experience expected. The restaurant itself is super cute and nice inside!
Easter brunch. Our server seemed inexperienced and didn’t know what was in the dishes, the food and drinks came out very slowly and everything was just ok, except the burgers, those were awesome. It was so loud we had to yell to each other and it was really cold inside despite the gorgeous weather outside. Not the best brunch experience.
I saw where there had been mixed reviews, but realize different people have different experiences. Like the other reviews, REALLY slow service, ordered a drink and after about 15 minutes the waitress said "sorry - the bar got really backed up all of the sudden". Another 15 minutes to order an appetizer, took forever to get it (it was really good) and after an hour we still had not ordered our entries. Our waitress was helping as a hostess, although there already was a hostess. We left and went and got pizza.
Service was great. Server and hostess were very attentive. The food, however, was horrible. I never write negative reviews but this was bad. Potstickers had a burned taste and tasted frozen and old. Pork was undercooked and didn't come with everything described. Chicken was bad. The food was just all bad.
Awful dining experience. Service was terrible took 40 mins to get meal and the food was cold and under done and raw. Didn’t bother to notify management as it probably would have taken another 40 mins to resolve issues.
The service was okay, nothing spectacular to remember. The best thing I had on the menu was the Paloma, but the food was not that great and pricey for small meals.
Great ambience! Great meeting place for a special night out for cocktails and dinner.
Food was delicious. However, portion sizes were quite small. Service was excellent. Great location, but parking leaves something to be desired, as is always the case in Deep Ellum. Overall would recommend.
I loved the bar upstairs. I very much enjoyed my experience here. I thought the food was priced fairly, the drinks were great and our waiter was pleasant. I like the atmosphere at this restaurant and would go back again in a second.
The Catch of the Day was fried, which wasn't disclosed to me. I try to avoid fried foods so I didn't eat much.
First time there. I was responsible for coordinating a birthday lunch here and this place did not disappoint. Not only is the food excellent and creative, it is exceptionally well presented. The service was attentive without being overbearing. They comped us a dessert for the table which was a very nice gesture. I thought the pricing was quite reasonable. Definitely will go back.
Harlowe was great. Loved the atmosphere. The bartender, Sydney, was super sweet and nice. Knows his beverages! Loved the food. I had the pork loin and it was delicious. I had the frozen moscow mule and the garden club. Can't wait to go back.
Great food and drinks. The service was very good. The only challenge is parking. If you don't use a ride share service to get down there, it can be challenging.
Sat on the roof on a Sunday and they had a DJ. It was crowded and everyone was having a good time. No drama, fights, or any negativity. Great food and drink. Great atmosphere for a Sunday day.
Space is clean sparse and modern. Food for brunch is innovative and different. Affordable well presented.
The sparkle bar is a nice concept but needs a little more diversity and options on ingredients. Should be juices fruits etc. also option of clean glasses to try other options.
Service was what you would expect and prices certainly well within reason.
Classic day after holiday service. Pretty slow and sub par food. Nice ambiance though.
Had an awesome brunch on the rooftop with really good bloody Mary’s!
This was my second time visiting Harlowe and once again I was disappointed. Had it not been for our server who was great, it would have been a complete bust. First, they were out of lobster, which meant no steamed lobster and no lobster roll, my first and second choices. Then my boyfriend ordered the gnocchi which came with maybe 6 pieces of pasta. Seriously??? Pasta is the cheapest thing to make, could they not fill the plate at least? Then a friend ordered the shrimp and grit oysters only to find there was more sea salt on the plate than shrimp, grits, and oysters combined! Overall, save your money and go somewhere else!
We stopped here for a meal before a show down the street. We were treated very nicely from when we stepped in the door until we stepped out. The food was tasty and served well. Our waitress, Salem, times everything so we weren’t rushed. She was also very helpful giving us information about the area. We’ll be back and tell people to give it a try
We stood at front door for a while, multiple employees walked by us or made eye contact but no one offered to help us. They were not very busy and no one else was waiting to be seated. Our dinner came out before our appetizer so we just said to cancel it bc we no longer need it but they went ahead and brought it and comped it. None of our food had flavor. We wanted to enjoy it but just were not impressed.
The food was not good so we barely ate any of it and no one asked us why or if we wanted to try something else. We decided not to stay and had dinner somewhere else.
Everything looked, tasted, and presented well. There were some inconsistencies with the Old Fashioned and a couple of repeated requests to our waitress but still 4/5 for the service. Way to go!
Met a friend for lunch. Service was good, fries were good. Great happy hour value. Lots of flies!!
Awesome experience for a Sunday brunch with a great brunch menu!
Food was great but menu lacked variety
Average meal, nothing great and nothing bad.
Here is what we liked about Harlowe:
1. They have a delicious vegan option on their menu. This is important to us since we are a 'mixed household."
2. The cocktails were amazing. We had the Apricot Sidecar.
3. The staff was gracious and professional. I don't know how to describe what sets their staff apart from other restaurants, but they have it.
Went to Harlowe for a Birthday celebration and had a great time.
Salem was our server and she was awesome. Food was delicious.
We ordered fresh catch of the day, lobster and prawn salad. Everything was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back.
The service very good except that the waiter kept on top of us a little bit frantacally to make sure we ordered. We did stay 2 hours on NYD, so guess he had a reason. We ordered a bottle of champagne with the sparkle bar. Pretty darn reasonable. Of the three starts we ordered, the brie toast stood out. The rest good, but not good enough to make the restaurant distinctive. The restaurant atmosphere nice, exactly what we have come to expect of new and trendy restaurants in the last 5 years, but nothing fresh. Will I go again? Sure, if a friend wants to go, it is solid. Will I rave about it or recommend to friends? mmmm... No.
Food was unreal!! Enjoyed the mimosa bar and the PBRs with brunch too :)
Awesome menu & brunch! Delicious!
Love this place great atmosphere and great customer service. The food is amazing!
Great location, great service - and amazing food! Perfect combination for a Sunday Brunch with friends...
Very good food. The bar wasn't too crowded and the bartenders were nice and knowledgeable. The food came out quickly and it was hot.
The food was great! Loved the mimosa bar and waiter was excellent.
Food was amazing! MXM Burger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time!
Service was not great. Waiter was not informed on the days specials and offerings and let us know he hadn’t tried the special. We also inquired if we could upgrade the “sparkle bar” to a Brit champagne. Waiter showed us the bottle on the menu... it was not a champagne and to our discovery was a $4 bottle of sparkling California white wine. Design and ambience were wonderful, but our service made the experience not that great. We went for brunch. Will try rooftop again, but would not recommend until we try again.
The drinks were all amazing! Instead of the typical mimosa, I got the Jessica Rabbit! It was amazing!
This place is not to be missed. The restaurant itself is a great-looking space, and has a very nice, open atmosphere. The food was inventive without being pretentious or off-putting. Familiar items with a delicious twist. I would definitely recommend the boar tots. They a perfect crisp and browning on the meat. Their cocktails range from coffee-style to the old classics. I would recommend checking out their beers as well. Overall, the place is great, and the staff is excellent and attentive. Definitely will go again.
