The Staff really knows how to make the evening amazing! Food is prepared to perfection. Owner is onsite and checking to make sure every plate is presented a it’s best!
Clean eating and unbelievable ingredients. Love
We met Greg who was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Our bartenders and waitress were extremely efficient and had fantastic personalities.
Food was delicious.
They took such good care of us! We came into Laguna for the Pageant of the Masters and had a wonderful dinner. One person in our party has celiac and they accommodated us so beautifully. Food, ambiance, it’s all great!!
Very disappointed. Food took to long and the prices to me are to high for the amount of food you get. Not going back.
They didn't have a very big menu, but everything we had on it was amazing. The fried cheese apetizer was something completely yummy. The heirloom tomato burrata salad was so fresh and favorful. The ribeye was perfectly cooked. The sides were even great. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Also, the upside down pineapple cake was a perfect end to a great meal.
I suggest getting there early if you are from outside Laguna Beach. Parking is not always easy. I also recommend taking a walk to the local beach a block away after your meal.
Amazing is all I can say... superior service, outstanding food! Go!!!!!
Very accommodating to our kids. Great delicious food!
We love this place for its incredible food and service. Kid friendly and dog friendly too! The drinks are so creative and tasty, the steaks and halibut are a must try. Loved the avocado appetizer and the hamburger is divine. Get the word out for this local gem. New business and has availability and a great bar!
The most amazing service and delicious food. Couldn’t have had a better experience- love Harley!!!
We love this restaurant. We had the jammy eggs, lettuces, street corn, and cacio e pepe. The bartender Kyle was so nice and makes a great cocktail. Our favorite dish was the street corn, to die for, we will be back just for that.
Our third visit. Everything was exquisite.
I had the eggs benedict along with my daughter in law. It was excellent, but for me, I would order it next time without the strawberry jam on the muffin. My granddaughter had a "order your own eggs" and they were very nice to substitute sliced avocado for the bacon. It looked really good as well. My great granddaughter had a short stack of pancakes that she had to cut herself with no help from anyone, she's 3 years old. We'll be back.
Love the Amaro list!
Really interesting menu
We normally go to Broadway across the street, but we decided to try this place before the pageant of the masters.
Here’s how it went.
We got there and it was pretty empty and got seated pretty quick. We did have reservations. Our sever sat us and a few minutes later the waiter came. He gave us the menus and pretty much went over it and left. He came by about 10 minutes later and we were deciding between two appetizers. Within 30 seconds he turned around and told us he would be back once we decided. I looked at him and he just walked away. So 20 minutes later I asked where our drinks are and wow they show up. Now did I say there was probably about 15 people there.
I looked at the server and asked how many waiters they had and she said 6, which I replied where are they? She said oh did you want me to get him? I just started laughing. Let’s just saying in the hour and half we were there he touched our table 5 times.
Now my review, I can keep going on but my hand will hurt. This place is terrible. The management I don’t think knows what they are doing and the food was whatever.
I ordered the Pasta with boar thinking it was real actual boar meat, to be surprised it was ground boar. LoL, it tastes like any meat sauce, really disappointed and for the price I think it’s totally robbery.
As we left I peeped into Broadway and it was packed. I mean packed. Damn I really wanted to like this place. I don’t think this place will survive.
Phenomenal in every way. Food, service, ambiance and vibe exceed all expectations every time we come. Does not matter if it is weekend or week night. Great place for groups, couples or for kids that are adventurous eaters. I hope to try their Brunch soon.
This is an exceptional restaurant in Laguna Beach. Outstanding food, chef owned & operated. Absolutely fabulous and highly recommend.
Wow, Heidi! Thank you so much for the kind words. Hope to have you back again soon!
Food was a little cold when served but not cold enough to send it back. They use high end local products and it’s very tasty. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, Jodi! Please let us know if we don't hit the mark for you next time. We want to be sure you're 100% happy!
From the moment we walked in, we were treated like VIP. The service was impeccable and the food was beyond! Make sure you order the grilled prawns.
I ordered a Margarita and wasn't "in love" with it so the bartender came to the table to chat (she is adorable) and offered to make a new drink that she was working on, Strawberry Shrub Margarita. It was amazing!!! The flat iron steaks were cooked to perfection.
We will be back soon!!!
So happy to hear such great feedback! Anese is an incredible bartender, and we're so happy and proud to have her here at Harley. We can't wait to have you back to try another of her creations!
LOVE, LOVE! Amazing! We were a party of 6 that came in on a Friday night. I love the decor- kind of industrial farmhouse. The greens with the grays make it very warm and inviting. Great craft cocktails and amazing food! We shared most plates- oysters, deviled eggs, rib-eye, wild boar ragu, grilled avocado, fried chicken drumsticks, baked potato, pecan pie- all delicious! Great customer experience too- our waitress Emily was bubbly and on top of it. The manager (I think he was the manager) was helping to check and run the food. He asked us our opinion about dishes and what we liked and didn't like and really took our opinions to heart.
My only small negative is that the restaurant is really loud. It could have been where we sat- right next to the serving station, but we actually liked seeing all the food come out. It looks like they put acoustic panels in the ceiling to help absorb some of the sound, but it is still pretty loud. This would not be a make or break for going back. Can't wait for our next visit!
Thank you so much, Connie! We are looking at more options to help with sound, and have made significant changes in order to do so since we've been in the space. Glad to hear it won't keep you away! I'm so, so happy to hear the feedback about Emily (we love her), and our manager. John! See you soon!
I am a regular but I took two friends for their first visit. They agreed it was excellent and both men will return. Innovative but down to earth chef Greg Daniels. Great service and the restaurant has been freshened and lightened. Weekend brunch is delicious too and late night is fun.
The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. The drinks were great. Just ask the bartender for his recommendations, he knows his stuff.
We will be back!
We went to Harley on recommendation from a friend. Were there on a Sunday at 6:00pm. The food was marginal at best. Our halibut was way overcooked. Our mushrooms were flavorless. We have many restaurant choices in this area we food that is excellent and priced more decently. At that time of day when the place wasn't busy we would have expected better.
Saturday was my third time coming to Harley, first time for brunch. I have not been disappointed in anything we have tried and follow them on Instagram to see what new creations they come up with. The Braised Bacon Steak was to die for and we will definitely be returning again to try additional dishes.
Delicious NY Steak, comes in slices but very tasty, outrageous mushrooms, interesting Halloum and nice prawns. Halibut also very tasty. A little higher price than expected but no disappontments.
Amazing dinner - great service - would recommend to anyone that enjoys good food!
Dined for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The service and food were both fantastic! This is a hidden gem in Laguna!
Great interior design and flow to the space, however, not enough ventilation to balance the heat coming in from the floor to ceiling windows. It was uncomfortable.
The pancakes were mush, and had no texture to them. The benedict seemed like it would have been good, but the execution was far from it unfortunately. Felt like the ingredients were just thrown together without quality care for how each part was prepared most efficiently to pair with eachother. Coffee tasted burnt and bitter.
The open kitchen concept is such an awesome addition to a restaurant, but not capitalized on when the majority of the cooks are wearing sweat-stained fitted caps. Not a good look lol. I dont mind spending good money on a dining experience, especially the extra “optional” 3% they charge because they are operating in california? The prices of their options are already inflated a bit, but adding that to their menu, kinda allows the customer to be able to peak through the veil of the business’ frustration. Not a good look. Overall the food definitely did not match the price tag! Our server was super sweet though, and if you dont mind sweating a bit while dining, its a great space.
Best new restaurant in Laguna!! Fresh organic food, creatively prepared in a relaxed romantic setting. Don’t miss this place!!
The portions were extremely small and the quality was mediocre. Given that it was over $500 for six people we did not feel we it was a good value. That being said, our server was attentive and knowledgeable
I had visited the restaurant on Wednesday the 19th of June...we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen and the experience from the waiter to the food was fantastic and the reason why we decided to return on the 27th (a week later) for a birthday celebration. We sat at a table instead of the bar for this visit due to the number in our party. Our waitress was far from enthusiastic about any part of what she was doing, the manager felt that the right time to have a staff meeting was the exact time that our drinks were ready at the bar, and following that meeting the waitresses morale diminished that much more. The enthusiasm for the dishes being served was non existent and the sweet story of the cookies was never told, which was something we sold to our guests as a reason to visit. Such a disappointment in comparison.
The food, cocktails and service are off the chart, a smidge expensive, but very high quality. We were sad the grill was down while were there, the heat melted the vent fan! They are fixing it, but as regulars we LOVE the grilled items from the avocado to the thick steaks. The vegetable hummus plate is second to none, so fresh, creative, beautiful and fun. We start discussing what we are going to order hours before we go and usually end up happily changing our decisions because the menu is always evolving based on ingredients we get drawn to new dishes. This time it was Jason's Bolognese. My daughter wanted pasta and it blew our minds.
We’ve been to many high end restaurants and this presents itself as one. However, the food was lackluster, especially the cheese app and the $100 steak which was cold at medium rare and under seasoned. The mixed drinks we had also were not up to par, especially considering the restaurant next door is know for their drinks. Lastly, they at an “optional” 3% service charge for the exorbitant CA taxes and operational costs. It doesn’t go to staff and this is not a chain restaurant so logic seems that they would build this into their $100 steak price.
Thank you for the review. I apologize that your experience was not up to the standards you expected. We always want to provide the best to our dining guests. I hope that you choose to come back and give us another chance. Our menu is always changing, and perhaps you will find something you love here. As for the 3%, we do remove it if requested to do so, and in fact, every dollar of it is distributed directly to our cooks and dishwashers. Hope that is cleared up and you have a wonderful day!
Over-priced for what you get.
Graduation dinner with family.
Had a great time at Harley last Saturday night. We sat at the bar at the grill end and enjoyed watching the chefs prepare and serve and converse with us. Servers came up for their orders and offered suggestions and were very friendly. Coming back soon for a birthday celebration!
Felt rushed multiple times by the waiter. Typically waiters will transition a table when their shift ends but he was trying to get us to wrap up quickly and pay the check instead. Service felt a bit stressful. Delicious food!
Amazing food! Everything we ordered was fantastic. If you get the chance sit at the counter in front of the kitchen - you get to see all the other food that comes out as well as the care and attention that goes into each entree.
What a fun place to spend an evening! The menu is inventive, and everything we tried was excellent. The waitstaff are all very friendly, and make the experience fun. And the cute little box of chocolate chip cookies w/the story of Harley is darling - a great way to send you out the door! We will be back for sure!
Can't say enough good things about this place. The food, the ambience and service were all top not. Super fresh ingredients and the grass-fed beef was out of this world.
