We have a mixed of SF week $40 per person and one dinner order. The foods are excellent, patio view is pretty. We had black code and fried eggplant tofu and shrimp. There are stairs going to the pier 2 and walk along the piers to Oracle ball park after dinner for sunset.
Super friendly and enjoyable. Appetizers excellent. Dungeness crab was ok but a bit overrated for the price.
The appetizers were dry
The cod was excellent but the serving was really small for the entree.
The view is good but you cannot see entirely the view of Embarcadero!
Gene provides excellent service and staff is very good
Most favorite Chinese restaurant in San Francisco!
They got a nice terrace for outside dining. Dim sums were pretty good too. It was kind of crowded at where we’re seated. But it’s a weekend and they tried their best to do social distancing.
Dim sum is not something that can be enjoyed as a take out. Harborview offered wonderful dim sum in an outdoor setting with a wonderful view.
Overall, Harborview's food was so good and beautifully served! Their servers were super friendly & considerate.
The Lychee Martini was so well made - the hint of lychee in the drink was just right!
There’s a factory feeling to the operation - maybe they’re hitting some bumps as they expand to add indoor dining, but the patio is where it is at for lunch. Decent dim sum, nothing that creatively pushes the boundaries. Lots of expensive crab dishes. Great for groups, but limited for solo diners. There isn’t a dim sum sampler.
High prices but they enjoy a beautiful and expensive location.
Do grab a jar of the XO SAUCE - it’s amazing and worth it at $22. This really was the reason for my visit.
Harborview's patio is the place to be! Great for lunch or dinner, better with more people so that you can try more dishes! Always someone around to answer questions, the staff are thoughtful and helpful. We will be back and we recommend!
Loved the food and service was great
fabulous dim sum; wonderful outdoor patio; the steamed cod is a must and all the foor is first rate
How do I begin to describe the best and worst dinner of my entire life. Imagine a wonderful meal sitting on a table perfectly prepared and the service is the worst you ever had in your life and it's freezing cold inside because every door is open. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and finish dinner at 9:00 p.m. not because we completed our meal but because we were rushed out because they were closing. Our reservation was for 8:00 p.m. From the moment we arrived we were rushed to leave. The moment our appetisers arrived the entry's came next and then dessert in the matter of 15 minutes. It's still pretty cold in San Francisco And for some reason Every door was open. Every diner had a jacket on that was seated inside the building. Being as though they were cold you can imagine our food got pretty cold quickly to. The food was wonderful The food was wonderful. But what does it matter when it's ice cold. This ruined my birthday celebration. In the future If there not willing to stay open Then maybe they shouldn't book late reservations. If I came there with the expectation of fast food it wouldn't bother me but being as this is a fine dining establishment and thoroughly disappointed. Can't say I ever come again.
The food was very good, the jasmine tea they served was so floral and delicious. I ordered Lobster and shrimp dumplings, honey garlic chicken, vegetable spring roll and fried rice and all were fresh and tasted amazing!
The service was very poor while the food was good. You could hardly get any of the servers’ undivided attention. The space and the food has much more potential but due to poor service, I don’t think we go back.
Delicious food in a lovely setting outside with umbrellas and heaters.
Great view, delicious food and friendly staff. Always my go to place for chinese food cravings
The dim sum was lukewarm!
Great place for date! Loved the salt and pepper Dungeness crab as well as the rest of the meal including desert. Beautiful place and views. We will be back. A shout out to the entire staff for the excellent service!
Such a great place for authentic Chinese food. Don't miss ordering their signature dishes: Salt and Pepper Crab, Peking Duck, and Sea Bass for dinner. We love dim sum during lunch. Lychee martini is killer! Service is excellent as is the ambiance.
Excellent customer service . Very friendly staff, food was amazing
Wonderful food. Great services
I loved it! My husband and I celebrated my birthday here. They were so accommodating, the food was excellent and they took a photo for us and sang me happy birthday :) We had the spicy crab, lobster dumplings, peking duck and gold rice. I will gladly come back here!
I love the outdoor terrace dining option during the Pandemic. We had a lovely table overlooking the Ferry Building and Bay with the full moon as a back drop. Our table didn't have the Plexiglas separators but the tables around us were six feet from us so we felt safe especially since we were out side. We stuck to seafood since we had a member in our party that is pescatarian. We loved the salt & pepper crab, the baked sea bass, garlic stir fried pea shoots, walnut prawns and finished with the custard cups and fried sesame balls to finish off our meal. I know others might have been upset by the slow pace of the meal but our party enjoyed the leisure dining experience. Service was attentive, everyone wore a mask. I would recommend Harbor View for dinner anytime.
The place had good drinks and food, but I was not impressed by their service. They took almost 30 minutes every time we ordered drinks. I had food on my table before even the drinks got there. Also, I had the wrong food served on my table twice. Overall, very bad experience in terms of service.
Food was all cold. Service was bad. Got sick off of the Pork Belly. Very disappointed this time around
A lovely dinner on the balcony under the heat lamps looking down on the Embarcadero
Celebrated a Birthday here, last day before CA goes on a lockdown again. From service to food, everything was great.
Had to sit on the patio, which was cooler despite the gas heaters. Very nice and friendly service. Never had the fish head soup and silken egg clams, which were different and tasty. Prices were a little high, but the ambience on the patio was good.
Dim sum here is probably the best in the City.
Seafood is a specialty as well but we dine mostly on their dim sum menu.
This plays owes a great thanks. The kitchen was supposed to close at 08:30pm, and they still served us food at 08:45pm. In addition, the pan fried noodles with beef and gai lan was so good!
Second visit - excellent outside dining w amazing food. Service was frustrating- waiting 30 minutes after being seated to get a beer. I physically had to get up and track down my waiter to get a beer. After my second request the service was top notch. I’m going to say it was a small hiccup and not normal. Highly recommend
Delicious food with a great view of the Ferry Building and Bay Bridge.
Pricey for dim sum, but you get what you pay for here. Food, view and service was top notch especially for dining out during COVID. Dress warm for outdoor dining. The installed outdoor heaters are quite high so the heat doesn't quite reach the table as well as it could have. They have portable heaters for the outer tables, but doesn't look like there's enough for every table. The siu mai, XLB, shrimp and peashoot , sticky rice, shrimp rice flour roll, and crab congee were super tasty. We got the truffle XLB. It's fun to try, but 1 was enough as the truffle flavor is overpowering for XLB. All the dim sum tasted fresh. Dumpling wrappers were on the thicker side, but we liked that.
This is high-end Chinese dim sum coupled with attentive service and nice views of the Ferry Building. All this despite the pandemic. We especially liked the fresh crab congee and fried mochi balls for dessert.
Great time, delicious food and great view. Nice service but could take awhile.
Upscale dim sum place. A bit pricey but good quality that matches the price. It's a nice treat. Especially recommend the "Truffle Shanghai dumpling", unique and taste good.
Fantastic Food and amazing service
