Vibes, Fun, Great food, Great music! Had such a great night with a group of friends eating and dancing to the awesome live DJ 70s-current dance music . They were very accommodating to us and it was a memorable night! Hope this great restaurant is there next summer too! I was sorry I only attended one time for the summer of 2017, wish I had tried it sooner in the season so I could have gone back!!
The chef did a good job accommodating our entire party (all vegan) without advance notice (not intentional!). Our server was a bit inattentive but most importantly in not mentioning a few ingredients that we had to send one dish back because of the contents that didn't work. Innocent mistake, just not enough focus on her part (nor on checking in with us after the food came). The chef made up for all of that with delicious cooking. The David Yarrow photos (for sale) on the wall are incredible.
Cocktails were terrible, didn't have 3 bottles of wine which were on their wine list. Waitress actually told us that she was frustrated that she kept having to check about our food/drinks. Do not recommend.
The place was empty which was kind of uncomfortable but food and ambiance was overall good
The food was delicious, we ordered the salmon and shared it. This is a fun place and the DJ played good music. If you want to dance go a little after 9pm.
Had a very good night. Sat outside. Hostess was accommodating. Food, service, music, all good.
The food at harbor east is good, not great except for the Thai mussels appetizer which was very tasty. Coctails are very expensive. Atmosphere is very nice.
Their burgers and Mexican corn were very tasty
We ate here on a Sunday night, when there were only a few full tables, so it was very quiet and romantic. The décor inside was fresh and appealing, but the indoor room smelled a bit stale/like a poolhouse. The food was outstanding though - we really enjoyed all of the fresh produce from Balsam Farms and the preparation of the dishes. We started with oysters, which were remarkably fresh. We could have had a dozen more! The burrata with local tomatoes was delicious, although the tomatoes were not ripe. The fried calamari appetizer was unique in that grilled (not hot) peppers were layered on top, and a few slivers of hot jalapenos were mixed in. The combination worked very well together. The chicken with local potatoes was cooked perfectly. We had a sage/gin cocktail and a tequila/lime one. Both recipes were appealing, but the ratios made the taste of alcohol a little harsh. Even though the mascarpone dessert sounded good, we opted to skip dessert since we were full. Other than the breading on the calamari and the potatoes, we ate all protein and veggies, which was fine with us. The menu is limited and full of fresh seasonal food, but does not include any pasta, nor is bread served at the table. On the up side, we left feeling full but not overstuffed or weighed down, which was refreshing.
The place is beautiful. Hopefully this restaurant will last for a while. The focus always seems to be the Club that is there after " dinner". It may still be so, but the food was excellent as was the service. Great vibe and prices are not insane for East Hampton
Unfortunately was there on a slow night and the service was really slow. Food tasted good but took too long and was room temp. Had to ask where the main courses were four times. If it would have been the right temp it would have been great.
Chicken wasn't cooked. Got sick. Food was awful.
Staff felt bad but I would never recommend or go back again.
I loved the experience . You feel you are in a cozy place any where in Europe , like Mykonos .
Everyone works hard to make your experience fun . Worth eating and then dancing to good music
Good vibes and good fun
I recommend it
Time between appetizers and entrees was unacceptably long. Some of our food dishes arrived ice cold. Server was great but otherwise service was terrible due to poor timing.
The food was really bar. Two people in our party of four had to return their entrees, the other two were completely underwhelmed. Service was bad, slow, careless. Management did try to make up for the whole unpleasantness by taking out a few itens from the check, which was a nice gesture. Still, we had a terrible dinner.
Service was awful!! Never even got our dinner
Eat Hampton's summer 3017 hot spot. Nice decor was soon overwhelmed by bodied and loud conversation level. Limited menu is very pricey for size of portions. Might appeal to those 40 and under who are looking for a "scene."
Was looking for something new in the Hamptons and decided to try Harbor East. The food was nothing special and quite expensive. The service was lacking. I had to ask for my cocktail to be servered. The dessert menu is very limited, one choice. And it was very noisy.
This place is like a spoof of The Hamptons.
Harbor East is absolutely where you want to be! The vibe, decor, scene, food & staff, all perfection. I'm still obsessing over the palm print & stripe decor in all of our photos. Believe me when I say, it's a must-do on your list. New to the Hamptons scene, but most certainly going to be around for a while to come . Word to the wise, make room for the burrata & watermelon salad, you won't regret it.
This is my new go-to restaurant. I've eaten here 3 times in the past 2 weeks! Chic decor, incredibly fresh food (try the oysters and the burrata- the bomb!), amazing cocktails and a fun late night scene. The staff are incredibly accommodating and it feels like home from the minute you check in at the host desk. 5 stars all round from me.
Had such a great meal with my friends. Food was excellent. The Burrata absolutely melted in my mouth wow! Oysters, shishitos peppers with calamari ... never would have thought of that but the two together awesome !
Great food, server was attentive. The restaurant transitions into a bar scene which is really fun!
The food was pretty average to poor. Minor detail: but the worst bread I've ever been served. Cocktails were creative though. It's really just a scene, not a place for a great meal. I would be surprised if it's not under new ownership/management next summer.
It was the worst. Started out ok with the wine and appetizers but went downhill after that. They forgot one of the main courses and everything was lukewarm. The general manager was apologetic but couldn't seem to actually get the food to the table.he would rather talk with all the guests and actually do something. This is not a place I would recommend that I doubt it will be here next season
Trendy and tasteful!
Rude waiters, ridiculously slow and poor service for what was ultimately, very ordinary food. Would not recommend this to anyone!
We thought the food and service were excellent.
The decor and ambience are amazing. Staff were very welcoming
For a new restaurant they have done a great job.
Amazing place. Food was great, vibe was fantastic and we had a blast dancing to old school music! Can't wait to go back!!!
What was good: food wasn't bad. A little exxy but would recommend the burger but give the mussels a miss.
Fabulous interior and cool bar.
What wasn't: It was very clear that they have just opened as staff were wandering around like headless chicken.
All of our orders were given to the wrong people at the table and we had to rearrange ourselves.
Incredibly noisy - manageable when we first got there but too loud when we left.
The bill took nearly 30 mins to process and resulted in us unable to split it three ways. Poor communication during this time resulted in three different family members having to go up to the counter to try to resolve.
I hope they sort their service out to match the prices they are charging.
Ambiance was fun and vibrant food good service was super friendly but a bit disorganized. Chalk it up to being new. Decor is great and everyone was welcoming - great new spot
Our meal took almost an hour to arrive at our table. Between the four of us two had Filets the other two had a hamburger and salmon. The burger and salmon arrived 15 mins after the Filets were delivered. The food was ok, the Salmon could have been cooked a little longer Our waitress was doing a good job until the order dragged on at that point I guess she was scared to show up at our table until we had been served. One of the owners after seeing friends at a table sat down and joined them. He was obviously oblivious to the crash and burn that was going no on in the kitchen. The GM did let us know that she would not charge us for the burger or salmon. It took another 10-15 mins for the waitress to bring me my credit card and receipt to sign. I would not recommend this Restsurant.
Although service wasn't on point, considering this place just opened up a few weeks ago, I think the service was good enough. Food was very good and the ambiance outstanding.
Love the ambience at harbor east; very upbeat and fun; everyone so friendly ! Portion sizes got smaller visit one to visit two 😱
Not good. More of a club than a restaurant. We will not go back.
Amazing venue, staff, food and experience - the best new place to be in The Hamptons. Will be coming back very soon!
I didn't realize when we booked that this was brand new and only opened 3 weeks ago. The night club attached hasn't opened yet, they were still putting the signs up...But the place for dinner was great. Beautiful decor inside. The owners stopped by our table several times to check on us and make sure we were happy. The waiter was attentive. Although I requested something special with my meal, and the chef did not follow directions (no potatoes)...my meal was superb! Burrata salad was amazing! Great drinks as well. Will definitely go back again. Good new hot spot!
Go for the cocktails but eat elsewhere if hungry!
The BF and I were excited to try a new venue on a quiet week night. The decor was nicely executed and the (few) patrons were trying a bit too hard to create a "hip scene" floating between the bar and the owner who was friendly and sociable.
Be forewarned, despite the descriptions,
Everything on the menu is a SMALL PLATE.
One of the appetizers, while tasty, should have been called Find the Burrata as a tinier portion has never existed. The lobster roll was uninspired but the Scallop entree was a candidate for the category "Can the server keep a straight face while serving 3 small scallops and calling them a main course?"
So either dine before you arrive or be prepared to troll for pizza after your meal!
Had a beautiful evening , beautiful dinner , food was really excellent and the staff were so nice and engaging. Perfect ambiance for large groups , but saw a lot of very romantic dates happening as well. Will be back soon !
