    Had a wonderful dinner on the patio at Hank's on the Wharf. I have been to every Hank's location in the DMV area, and this is one of my favorites, particularly because of the waterfront patio. It's an incredible location and the food is wonderful! Hank's is also always a favorite amongst our friends or family.

    This Hanks is in a great location if you are attending a concert at the Anthem. Unfortunately, my last visit wasn’t very impressive. My first time visiting was a great experience, but I didn’t have a reservation that time. I booked this last reservation 3 months out and when I arrived they had lost my reservation. They did still work us in quickly as I had my confirmation text comfirming my reservation existed. They were out of several of their signature beers which was a bummer. The mixed drinks we ordered were not impressive and unfortunately I felt the same about the food. It wasn’t bad, but considering the cuisine options in DC, it definitely wasn’t memorable. I may go back for a quick beer and some oysters in the future but I won’t make dinner reservations again. It’s a good location for a quick beer and appetizer as long as they aren’t out of beer.

    Crab dip was soupy and fish tacos was ok but contained a very small piece of fish and was more of a slaw taco. Service was fine.

    The food was excellent. The fried clams were scrumptious and the lobster roll was chock full of melt in your mouth lobster. My reason for not recommending the restaurant is solely due to the noise level. It was virtually impossible to carry on a conversation. There were large parties on both sides of our table for two, so that may have contributed to it, but dinner was not at all relaxing. Unfortunate, since the food was so good.

    A nice, mid-priced restaurant on The Wharf. It's a very lively scene, even on a Sunday evening. It was too loud for my taste indoors. Luckily, outside dining was available. It wasn't as loud, and was great for people watching. One minor quibble with the oyster po'boy. While it was a nice sandwich, it was not a po'boy in the traditional sense. Rather than coming on a crusty baguette or roll with po'boy fixings, it was on a New England style hot dog bun, and lacked any condiments or toppings. But the seafood is top-quality.

    We had a great meal at Hanks! Started with the crab dip which was great. For an entree, I had the crab cake and fries and it was fresh and tasty. We also enjoyed one of the fish bowl drinks...boozy and good. The service was fantastic.

    Great way to spend National Oyster Day!! Delicious, fresh oysters and drink pairings made for a great lunch. The lobster deviled eggs and oyster shooters were to die for!!

    Sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful evening of people watching on the Wharf. The raw seafood was amazing and the frozen drinks were yummy too.

    Unfortunately, the service was slow and the food was ok. The waiter could not really answer our questions. I also did not like seeing the fish cracker boxes being moved around the dining room. Can't that be kept in the background. It just seems like Hanks needs more time to get its act together.
