Hana Koa is a full production brewery in the heart of Kaka’ako. We have a full kitchen with daily and monthly specials. Featuring two full bars including beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.

We ask all our guests to abide by time limits so we can accommodate as many guests as possible each evening.
1-4 guests = 90 minutes
5 or more = 120 minutes

RESERVATION POLICIES:
-All parties larger than 15 will be asked to place a deposit. Please contact the host stand or email events@hanakoabrewing.com for more information.
-Deposits will be forfeited if party does not show up, is incomplete, or cancels less than 24 hours before reservation time.
-Majority of the party must be present before being sat.
-Guests have a 15 minute grace period. After 15 minutes your table will be surrendered to other guests.
-Auto Gratuity of 20% will be added to large parties of 6 or more.
-Due to the fast level of service we provide, we may not split checks more than 2 ways.

Fun starts at the door. The physical set up is unique and we like it. Beer, beer, and more beer, made right there! You can try a few in a FLIGHT. The menu offers unique and rotating items. I love the Nakamura Toast, Bar B Q brisket and the very best onion rings around. Great merchandise available, too. The best part is the servers are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Go! Have fun.

Jen was incredible! She is always so friendly, and is a wonderful server. The food was great. I had the breakfast tacos, and my partner had the brisket loco mock. Both were so delicious!

We had a party of 6 for dinner with the added 20 percent tip included automatically which I think made our server not care about good customer service. The whole experience was so different than our previous visit which we had wonderful service I was turned off after we ordered some drinks and appetizers she comes over and says so are you going to order more food or is this it all your doing is appetizers? Hello! Such a rude tone. I wanted to walk out then but we had out of town guest with us Asked a few questions because I could not do anything spicy. Her tone was - well you really should look into ordering other things. I wanted the ramen not noted it’s spicy on the menu but she said that’s a no it’s spicy. Had 2 different shrimp Plates for the table that were over powered with spicy ness that it was difficult to eat them the guests said. Ruined the taste for them rice was mushy and terrible Even the salad was spicy dressing again not noted on the menu Whole experience was terrible except for our people at the table Will not be back I had to ask the food runner to find our server so we could order more drinks. She just wasn’t attentive and the place was empty After spending $250. I will not recommend or be back

I really wanted to love this place after reading some great reviews. My husband and I really enjoyed the beers but the food was somewhat of a letdown. The pickled onion rings were the best thing we ate. Marlin toast was decent but a bit rich and kinda just tasted like a diff take on tuna salad. I got the Korean short rib, it came out cold to the touch and well before we were even half way through our appetizer. The waitress very kindly sent it back and returned with what looked like a new piece of meat. I’ve had short rib many times and this tasted and looked a lot more like a marinated flank steak. The second piece of meat was better than the first and fairly hot but it still had a lot of fat/gristle pieces. The rice seemed like it was the same portion and it was still just as cold. My husband got the jerk chicken sandwich special. He said the flavor was good but it basically fell apart and the bun/chicken/sauce it was in smothered all together with the slaw and became mushy and not great to eat about 3/4 of the way through. Fries were fine but nothing outstanding. It’s a very cute place and we were bummed to have this experience. If you’re paying around $100 for a full meal and some beers I expected a bit better. The “short ribs” were $21 and def not up to par. The waitress was perfectly lovely and we had good service but food was a letdown.

Their food is okay. Not super expensive but not super cheap. We tried many food and I recommend onion rings and fries. They have a lot of beer selection you can choose starting from 5 oz. It’s a good place to try many types of beer!

Dined here tonight and had a horrible experience. Ordered the Tonkatsu ramen and it was unfortunately spicy for me. There was no mention of spiciness on the menu so I was definitely not expecting it. When I mentioned this to our server , Shacey, she asked if I wanted something else which I appreciated. I ordered a burger but at the last second, decided to cancel. My husband raced after her to cancel the burger before she put that order in. He overheard her talking to the kitchen staff about me. She very clearly knew he overheard her talking about me. After I paid the check, I told her that my husband overheard her and suggested that she not talk bad about the customer while they're still in the restaurant. Instead of apologizing, she doubled down with "you weren't meant to hear that." When you get caught talking about a customer, just apologize and own up to it. Her attitude was very combative and not friendly. Based on the service, would not recommend this restaurant.

We went to enjoy some drinks and eat some quick eats. The Drinks were good. Service was good. There was a couple of beers not available to try. Burger was very taste. My wife had the fish sandwich and it was good. Good overall. Parking is a challenge. Really didn't see any area designated to park for restaurant. Staff overall not very engaging or just super friendly.

The staff is absolutely fabulous. . Shay was great and a lot of fun. they have a very interesting menu and tons of types of beer and a great bar and I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a great experience, but the food is average or a little better.

This one of my favorite places in Honolulu. The only reason I give anything less than five stars is the noise level. But if the only complaint is that people are having a good time, it’s not a serious complaint. Great food, great service, great place.

The food is absolutely excellent! The onion rings are a MUST HAVE, and the brunch was perfectly portioned and great to share. The customer service was also incredibly on point. Julia was our server and she was very helpful in aiding in our beer choices… Which were all delicious! The only thing we weren’t huge fans of was the guest tap hard kombucha. Can’t go wrong trying anything else but a few faves were the Party Boy Pilsner and the Counting Stars Saison. Will absolutely be back to try more! Mahalo nui!

We had a great experience dining in and sampling their beers here! The brisket and fish & chips were both tasty. Also try a flight of 4 beers for some more fun. We highly recommend making reservations for Hana Koa to avoid long wait times.
