Amazing experience. This was our first time at the Greenville location after many visits to the Charleston location. Staff always go above and beyond for a truly exceptional experience.
Hall’s has never disappointed me. Love their brunch.
We had Sunday brunch to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. The food and service was fantastic. At the conclusion of the meal, my son was given a slice of cake with a candle and each member of our party was brought a glass of champagne. We were able to toast our son on his 21st birthday. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely return on another occasion.
This place is fantastic! The food is delicious and the service is impeccable. The most pleasant surprise occurred after I returned home from my trip to Greenville; the servers mailed a hand-written thank you note! What a wonderful lasting impression; this place is truly the definition of southern hospitality. I can't wait to visit again!
We were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary and our son’s 20th wedding anniversary. The food and service was superb! The celebration started with being served complimentary champaign. Our granddaughters were served a soft drink in a Champaign glass. Everyone ordered a steak (my wife had a bison steak) all were cooked to perfection. You have to order the creamed corn for a side. The celebration ended with us getting a large slice of chocalate cake.
You need to go for fantastic food and service.
This is going to be among the finest dining anywhere; however, the thing that gives it 5 stars is the exemplary service--definitely exceeds expectations!
I was very disappointed that we weren’t close to the live music, as I had requested. Instead, we were as far away from the music as we could possibly be. We drove from Spartanburg specifically for the music. Food & service were above average
Excellent food and the best service in Greenville. Definitely recommend.
Amazing dinner and amazing service
We had great service and great food. They really made us feel special.
We celebrated my husbands birthday. Everything was perfect!
My wife and I went to Hall’s for our anniversary. Within the first 30 minutes, we were told Happy Anniversary three times by different people. The floor manager even talked to us about our anniversary “story”. The food was amazing, the service excellent, and the staff was genuine. We were completely satisfied in every way with our experience.
We have eaten at halls in Charleston several times. Greenville halls did not disappoint. Same excellent brand
Awesome!! We enjoyed it very much
Outstanding service and the steaks are delicious! Great restaurant for a special occasion!
Always will presented and consistent great food! Service is well done. Only concern ( minor) is that you shouldn't sit people at a table where bright sunshine is glaring into patrons eyes.
My expectations were dashed. I have had a better meal for less money. The only saving grace was our waiter was Tyrell. He was personable, warm, and very professional. If it wasn’t for him we would of left.
I attended this for a birthday as a splurge as was very happy with the professionalism of the waiters and enjoyed the food very much! The ambience was romantic and I enjoyed the large windows as well! It was a bit expensive for two but was worth it for the experience!
Been here for dinner many times. Brunch was delicious! Thought I made my mind up and was informed of the "SPECIAL" Halls corned beef hash made with brisket, LOVED IT! Had reservations but easy to just walk in on a Sunday morning. Will be back.
Unfortunately this was not the usual superb Halls experience. There was a gnat issue in the dining room, the food seemed to take quite a long time to arrive, the service was lacking compared to my other experiences, and we were served room temperature chardonnay. We were told that they didn’t have any more of the wine we chose chilled but an ice bucket would be proved to chill the wine quickly. At the conclusion of the meal, a manager did attempt to correct the issues.
We’ve been to Hall’s in Charleston and twice to the Greenville location, and every time the experience has been perfect.
Devine, deliciousness epitomized...service outstanding and entire experience was heads and shoulders above most restaurants! Menu is splendid and offers many choices but not so many that one is overwhelmed. King Salmon superb and the pepper jack roasted corn dish absolutely magnificent! The price is steep but if you are out to splurge for a special occasion or have deeper pockets than some, you must go! You will be glad you did!
Awesome experience and food! Worth the money!
Our party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my sons 16th Birthday seated at the corner table with a view of the river. The service was amazing and the entire staff was quick to wish my son Happy Birthday. The chop salad is my favorite! Of course the creamed corn and loaded mashed potatoes were favorites also. We will be back!
My significant other had talked about Halls several times before I decided to surprise him with a birthday dinner. Having dined at other similar high end restaurants, to say we were somewhat disappointed is an understatement.
If you're looking to spend time enjoying the company of who you're dining with; forget it. There was someone constantly at the table. Attention is great but this was overkill. This being our first time at Halls, we were looking at the entire menu and the early bird specials menu insert when a second waiter came and stated that the first waitress said we were going to get the early bird special (do the do that as suggestion or because they're determining your check before you've even ordered?).
As soon as our food arrived at the table, we were asked to cut down the center for "doneness" and then waitress #1 pulled out a flashlight to argue that the very center of my SO's steak did have a pink glow (that was the only part that was pink at all and later the manager came over and asked how our food was and we mentioned about the filet and he had another prepared that was barely rare. Sometimes you can't win but when I'm spending $200, I expect the food to at least be cooked well).
Needless to say, unless I'm invited there, I won't choose to dine there.
Waiter Joseph made it special for our 44th wedding anniversary. Food was delicious, entertainment in bar was awesome (thought a CD was being played instead of live music), and the service was priceless!
Fantastic dinner, great selection of meat and very kind waiter ready to explain the differences between the cuts. To come back!
Halls is the best dining in Greenville. It's primarily a steakhouse, but everything on the menu is terrific. From the bone in filet to the corn hash sides; it's 5 star dining. The service is also the top of the shelf. An army of staff clears, sweeps and cleans the table like a NASCAR pit stop. It isn't cheap, but it's worth every dime.
It was great!
A wonderful celebration. The wine was perfect. The meal was topped off with the biggest piece of chocolate cake I have ever seen.
This was our first time. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
It was daughters high school graduation and it was AWESOME
We came to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was exceptional! The manager Patrick and the sommelier Ryan both stopped by the table and were welcoming and pleasant. We will definitely be returning!
Food was excellent. Service was exceptional. Ambiance was quite nice
Flawless food with impeccable service. Wait staff provided a full description of the menu as well as the types of beef available. Everything was cooked to order and tasted delicious. The bread pudding dessert was also superb.
I would definitely recommend Halls although, my octogenarian mother complained about the loud, live music. The lively scene at the bar probably didn't help lower the din.
A dear relative gave us a gift certificate for this restaurant, which is the main reason we gave it a try. We do appreciate fine dining on occasion, so not sure why we never considered this before. It was a PERFECT experience. The service was great, from our server, John, to the Sommelier, Ryan, and even to the assistants. Even though they were servicing other tables, their level of service made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. We had the Caesar salad & 8 oz filet. The salad was the type you expect from a high end restaurant. The steak was as good if not better than the ones we’ve had at Ruth’s Chris. For sides, we had the creamed corn, the collard greens and the Mac -n- cheese. All of them were excellent! The wine list is one of the best in town, and even offers half-size bottles, which is nice if you want to share a white wine for an appetizer and a red wine for a steak. A nice selection of Port wines and even French pressed coffee to go with dessert. This is our new favorite restaurant for special occasions!
We always love the Chophouse. The food, service and ambiance are great. A little pricey, but worth it.
Moving relaxation event.
Some of the best food and service we've ever experienced. Prime rib was great! The jalapeno corn side is amazing. Every employee was attentive and had a warm personality. Highly recommend.
