   This place is a hidden gem. Best sushi in WC IMO, but they need more servers, its growth was probably too quick to staff adequately but they need to catch up!! Still, my favorite spot.

   We just discovered this yummy sushi restaurant. The fish is incredibly fresh and the rolls are creative, beautiful and delicious. Friendly and fun bartender who makes fabulous cocktails. Our new favorite place in Walnut Creek.

   We had a wonderful 50th birthday celebration at Hakashi. It’s our second visit there. The food was amazing. And the staff accommodated the birthday cake we brought in and supplied dishes spoons. And they even led singing. Love the staff and service!

   This is truly the best sushi restaurant in Walnut Creek. I grew up here, and have known great sushi in the city (plus NY, Japan) and I must say I am in love with this place. Did Omakase on Oct 1st and have been back 3x since. Servers are super great, and chef Abel is truly an artist! Serious sushi!

   Salmon nigiri is my go to comparator. I had a salad, miso soup, salmon nigiri, and seared beef appetiser. All was somewhat underwhelming…not horrible…just unremarkable including the salmon nigiri.

   we thought the sushi was very good and reasonably priced. Love the fact that they don’t serve imitation crab and that everything is fresh. It was a very good experience.

   Food was amazing in this little hideaway on busy downtown Walnut Creek’s Main St! No more travel for good sushi! There have been some prior complaints about service and could see how it might be a thing when they are busy. There are also some complaints about cost … Welcome to Walnut Creek! Only negative comment, and so minor, is they need to make entryway more inviting and maybe clean windows. Overall food was great facility was clean and staff was nice.

   Fantastic newish Japanese place. Restaurant is fairly small, a little on the noisy side to be intimate but with lovely wooden tables and chairs that are as thoughtfully chosen as the serving dishes. Food was the highlight. Some less obvious choices and all fresh, well balanced, and exquisitely prepared and presented. There was a wide range of sushi/sashimi, most from Japan, as well as noodles and several other Japanese dishes. A big step up from the normal standard in Walnut Creek. There was also a full and interesting looking bar which we hope to explore on our next visit.

    We were seated quickly. Our waiter was passionate about the menu and was well vested on the ingredients of every option. The sushi chefs were efficient and we were served within 10 minutes of ordering. Our food was delicious, fresh and unique with different flavors. All four of us enjoyed our meal and we will return.
