   been here a few times before, this place has much potential however the layout & organisation (long wait order/get staff attention/ repeated request for water etc.) lets it down. get the fundamentals right and you'll be on to a winner as cocktails and food are very good.

   Third or fourth time at Habanera so knew what to expect. Food and margaritas still hit the spot but I can't help feeling that the place could have so much more buzz with a couple of minor changes. Good to have a reliable local Mexican though.

   Came for a Saturday lunch with 5 friends. Reviews on the food was mixed - I had the Carne Asada burrito board which was delicious, 10/10. My friends ordered the quesadillas and complained about their oiliness and that they had way too much cheese. The service started off not great - they took a while to take our order. The food, however, came out quickly and everyone's orders were correct. Ambience was fine, nothing special - it is a nice space, they could make it better. The menu's were also very scrappy, they should think about laminating them, or at least replacing them more often.

   The restaurant wasn't open until noon. It was really misleading that open table provide the wrong information about the opening hours. We have to find another breakfast nearby and totally change our plans of the day.

   Great food as always. I love the tacos and the atmosphere at Habenera. Doors open outside to give an al fresco feel. Great place

   Very personable and friendly staff, fantastic menu (loved the food and tequila options) - but it was a very hot day and we could have done with better air conditioning or outside seating.

    My friend and I had a quick dinner here before going to a gig at Sheperds Bush Empire last week. The 2 for 1 cocktail deal was great (note: before 7pm). We ordered chips with guac and salsa which were very good and the fish tacos and chicken tacos. The food was really yummy, although you don't get much with each dish so I would recommend ordering a few things per person. The only real down side to our meal was when we made a second order from our waitress (when we realized it wasn't enough food). We ordered very clearly but she got it completely messed up. Two salsas came that we had not ordered - we simply asked for two more of the dips we had already had. And only one quesadilla came when we had asked for two. A different waitress helped us sort out the problem and she was very kind and helpful (an American girl). We did find it a bit odd that she took away the salsas that were ordered wrong, rather then just ask if we wanted to keep them as a courtesy of us having to wait for the correct ones. Overall though, the food tasted great, the margaritas were yummy and the place itself was very cute.
