Habana- Irvine Spectrum
Guests will enjoy specialty cocktails and celebrated dishes will mix classic Latin favorites as well as Habana’s own take on specialties.
We love the lunch buffet.
Food was great service was a little slow for Sunday overall good experience
Service was lacking, our waiter ran by, did not introduce himself and just said "I'll be right back" he came back 15 minutes later. From there he would disappear and was hard to track down, we ordered a drink that that took close to 10 minutes to show up.
Food was OK, but definitely a huge departure from typical Cuban foods. The croquetas were a meat ball filled with shredded pork, nowhere close to what Cuban croquetas are.
I ordered the Tamal en Cazuela, again, nothing close to resembling the real thing. This dish was basically a Mexican tamal in a plate with some cheese sauce over it. The real dish is a polenta.
My wife ordered the roasted chicken, this came with a white creamy sauce over it which is a far departure from the real thing.
Overall the food did not taste that bad, but it certainly needs improvement if they want to bring it close to the real deal.
Went for a birthday brunch. So fun, great food and ambiance. Our server,Oscar, was so friendly and accommodating. Loved!
La comida buena pero lo mejor son los cafés
My girlfriend and I celebrated Valentine's day there. The drinks and food were great. Our waitress was responsive and gave good recommendations. It can get a bit pricey fast but it was a wonderful experience.
Amazing food and ambiance. Great service and incredible place overall.
Great food and service. One of the few good places to eat in OC.
My husband took me there for my birthday back in January and we love the atmosphere and the food was just great, but we went on a weekday and it was really quiet ..
We liked so much, so for Valentine’s Day for my husband’s birthdayWhich is on the same day I decided to take my husband there because we love it so much the first time
but we were disappointed we went on a Saturday it was so loud the food was not that great the meat was dry the plantains were dried, but we still managed to enjoy ..
Ouer waitress was very attentive and sweet
maybe next time will try to go on a day that is not so busy and they’re not out of my favorite things which is fried plantains
The plantain fritter did not look appetizing or had any flavor.
Excellent food (nice variety, something for everyone) and service! Extensive mixed drink menu including rum flights. Very attentive service that is knowledgeable about food ingredients (we have a person with severe food allergy in our party), and made excellent recommendations. They kept drinks and chips filled and plates cleared. Desserts yummy especially the key lime pie. Cute tropical cuban decor both indoor and outdoor seating. Nice touch with the table side purse coat stand! Location on outer perimeter of Irvine Spectrum is ideal for locating (green glowing sign) and parking although lots were packed on holiday long weekend. This was the second time I have been there and I intend on going back and working my way through the menu.
Food was really tasty with a nice presentation. Service was good but felt a little rushed. Hostess forgot to check us in on the computer so I ended up getting a “no show” email from open table. When I needed to pack up my food to go, the waiter said they didn’t have any small containers to hold the sauce which was weird. Enjoyed the relaxed ambience and food though.
Great service and food! Super cute decor and outdoor seating is really nice!
Great waiter service, good food, awesome ambiance.
Came here on Valentines Day for their $80 Pre Fixe dinner per person. It was extraordinarily amazing! For apps I had the empanada trio and those were really good. For the main course I ordered thr filet mignon. That was cooked perfectly and they sauce was superb. Finished off with the flan and that really tied the dinner together nicely. My girlfriend had their fish appetizer (forget what its called) but that was very delicious as well. She also opted for the filet mignon which if we knew the food was going to be that good we could have ordered different plates and just shared both with each other. Overall such a great experience listening to the live band play and most definitely will be back.
I was never notified that they had a fix menu. Just don't like fix menus !
Our reservation was for 1600. We came on time but the place was not ready. They sat us at the bar and gave us complimentary drinks while waiting. We had our food at around 1700. Good food. Good waiter. Good experience.
Lovely place excellent food & wonderful service!!!!
The ambience in the restaurant was inviting and had a cool Cuban vibe. The service was outstanding and the food was DELICIOUS and priced just right.
The indoor live music was fantastic, but unfortunately too loud for the four of us to carry on a conversation - we moved outside where we
could talk and still enjoy the music from a greater distance. Service was excellent and food was delicious. We will definitely return.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated. I loved all the mid-century decor. It was raining, which was unfortunate given a large portion of the destining is outdoors. We sat under a heat lamp which helped, but we were getting dropped on. We had asked to move but the hostess did not accommodate our request. She was not friendly or welcoming. I observed that she had the same sour attitude with the parties she seated. On the other hand, the servers were engaging, sincerely enjoyed helping the diners and each other. They made an otherwise cold morning seem very warm. Kudos to them. The food itself was incredible- the whole pig is a showstopper but the real star was the oxtails. Tender, falling off the bone, succulent. Don’t be ashamed to pick the bones for every last morsel. Great meal, I’ll be planning my next visit soon.
The food and service was beyond my expectations. I can't wait to go back again! I've told all my friends about it!
The food was so so..I only like the corn empanadas. Service was very slow. Our food arrive late.
Alicia our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Loved the food and their Cafe con Leche is delicious, it was the perfect way of celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. I definitely recommend Habana in Irvine and to all of our friends and family. We will be back!
I had the shrimp and scallops and it was FABULOUS! I recommend sitting outside on the weekend, inside was very loud but outside was peaceful.
I have been a few times and love the high energy environment. The food is excellent, but it is always busy. The decoration changes the vibe and gives you a different dining experience. Service is typically good, but when they are busy, expect to wait a little longer.
Great Cuban cuisine. Excellent location. You can shop or catch a movie before or after.
Amazing experience, we were too close to the band so the ear were hurting a bit.
Habana is hands down my absolute favorite restaurant in Orange County! The food is always so delicious, the service impeccable and the many rooms and patios are so charming. Oh and on our way out we stopped by the bakery and picked up treats for later. I indulged in the coconut cream filled donut (don't remember the name of it) and it was absolutely amazing!
Business lunch time buffet, very nice! Lots of tasty options! Service was a tad slow to start, so we served ourselves. Service was fine after that. Good meal, thank you!
Server was great. Busy day so food took a while to get to us. Music was excellent. Great vibes!
Great waiter. He needs a raise/promotion. Great manager. All concerned with our experience
I ordered the traditional Cubana sandwich. When I started to pick it up it fell apart. I had to eat it with knife and fork distorting the mix of flavors. That was a big disappointment. I ate half the sandwich and lost interest.
Great service, ambience, and food! Would come here more often if I lived in the state.
Our waiter Eddie was the Best, it was our 29th wedding anniversary us and 2 other couples came for Brunch for the first time and we will definitely be returning....
Wide variety of spread and welcoming staff. Overall a very good experience for Sunday Brunch!
The hostess was somewhat rude but the manager was exceptional. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is very energetic. My only complaint is because of the bad acoustics, it is difficult to carry a conversation without yelling. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food and drinks. Service was great, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely return.
The seating staff always misses the ball everytime I go for brunch. I always get seated in the middle or corner of their covered patio. In the middle of walking through traffic. The sangria helps get the sting out if the bad seating
AMAZING! Service was outstanding. loved the decor and the variety of food. I will come back in no time!
