White wine bottle left on table. Should’ve been out in bucket. Lobster came out wrong and tried to get managers attention but he was watching b-ball with the staff. Lobster served without bowl for shells and warm towel. Came much later.
Just was not up to par with H2O Smithtown. Description didn’t say that this Was more of a luncheon type restaurant.
Such a pleasant atmosphere! Bright and airy and pleasant for dining! Lovely halibut preparation -- light and flavorful!
We had a wonderful time and our seats were ready upon arrival.A very lovely and patient staff made for a great experience. The bottomless brunch was fab and all foods served perfect. We will return with more friends and definitely on a date night.
Celebrated a friend's birthday here, party of 6, and everything from the custom drinks in the beginning to the complementary dessert at the end was just impeccable. Already thinking about when I can make it back over there!
Had always wanted to try H2O. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service. Posted reviews were mixed and I thought the prices were fair for the quality.
We will definitely go back back.
It was a great overall experience! Excellent food and service!
It was fantastic! The Mother’s Day brunch was amazing! I’ll definitely be back soon.
My husband and I went to H2O East Islip last Friday night for a little date night and it was incredible. Highly recommend for dates or special event dinner. It was a bit pricey but for a special time it was perfect! Looking forward to going again and trying the specials they have during the week.
The interior appeared to be a mixture of new and mid century modern décor. The restaurant stated that diners dress in business casual but the wait staff wore jeans and sneakers. It felt like they remodeled the Beach Tree Restaurant (previous casual dining restaurant) and just reopened at a more expensive level.
The sushi was ok, there are an assortment of local sushi restaurants that far exceed what was prepared at H2O. The wasabi mashed potatoes were too spicy. Service was just adequate. I don't think we'll be returning ; we had heard so many good things about the H2O location in Smithtown but others who have been to both locations say it's very different.
Great dinner! The lobster was cooked perfectly and they even shelled it for us lazy people. The oysters over rice was awesome and the raw clams were great. An overall great dining experience.
I was very impressed with the food, the service and the selection. We were lucky to be there for restaurant week. The choices were varied and everything sounded delicious. I chose the scallops. They were nicely seared and the caramelized rice was an unexpected delight. My friend ordered the Beef Wellington and enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait for my next visit.
Good choice for restaurant week. We enjoyed the Branzino and the Scallops also the strawberry, goat cheese , red onion salad. Smooth and easy going service. Great servers. Thnx GB
Very disappointed did not meet my high expectations. Stuffed flounder was just bland bread stuffing there was very little flounder and it was very dry. Calamari was greasy and warm not hot. The upstairs chairs are a tacky plastic not what I expect from a high priced seafood restaurant. The upstairs dining room was so loud I felt like I was in a cafeteria. I have been to PRIME, Tellers and Versace and all three are very good and was expecting the same quality at H20 but this restaurant did not deliver.
Andre and Ken @ the bar were great. Food didn’t disappoint! One of our favorite spots.
W e had a great time enjoying dinner at your restaurant. Food was excellent as was the staff. We even purchased a gift card to give as an anniversary present
So happy to have this great place in our neighborhood. Truly enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Always a wonderful meal here. All beautifully presented and delicious.
Our steaks were cooked to our liking. They made a veggie substitution for potatoes without hesitation. Everything was delicious.
We were disappointed in our choice to go to H2O for Restaurant Week. The service was poor and unorganized and we didn't think the food was worth the value. I wish we had picked a different place to eat.
service was exceptional...friendly staff...beautiful inside. we went for anniversary which happened to be during restaurant week. Food was good however my appetizer, fried calamari should I say was entertaining? I hate sending food back, bread crumbs were good, but the calamari itself was like plastic, I can't even say chewy. Our 18 mon old grand daughter Chewed 3 pieces over and over and once bounced out of her mouth. she must of loved the flavor. The crispy rice with scallops is that crispy...but over all we really enjoyed ourselves. I would go back and might even give that calamari another chance.
The design is fresh, light, clean, comfortable, inviting. Staff is excellent. Seated right away.
Enjoyed food, service, atmosphere... (Was unhappy when learned our gift card was not accepted with Restaurant week special...)
Would have ordered differently.. NOT HAPPY (realize should read the fine print butttt)
Excellent question been there before other than restaurant week food Excellent. The Decour is very nice service was good I would definitely recommend it to friends and family and definitely go again other than restaurant week food is worth the price.
We have enjoyed lunch here several times in the past, and decided Restaurant Week was a good opportunity to try dinner. The appetizers were outstanding, the beef wellington was excellent, the stuffed flounder quite disappointing. Won't keep us from trying again.
Not only was our food delicious, but the service was outstanding. Our server Jared made sure that the kitchen was aware of our food allergies, and the manager Charles also checked over the orders. They couldn't have been nicer! It was a Restaurant Week menu with wine pairings, too, and it was a fabulous value. We tried some dishes we would not normally have ordered and will definitely order again.
Great brunch food choices. High quality. Service a bit sluggish. Overall very good experience. Don't forget the warm cinnamon rolls to start!
Brunch was amazing
Very bright relaxing experience. Food Quality outstanding
The food here is so delicious! The service is great too! Never had a bad experience.
Staff is very accommodating. Our hostess, Elizabeth, was friendly and her knowledge and suggestions of menu choices were taken into consideration. We had the branzino & scallops, which were cooked to perfection. The ambience was a pleasurable start for an evening concert at the Boulton Center.
This is a “ keeper”. Will definitely return.
This is a consistently good seafood restaurant. While appetizers are lackluster, the main courses are excellent. There were three of us, Tile fish and Halibut were wonderful, perfectly cooked and delicately seasoned. Scallops a tad salty, but nicely crusted.
Our waiterJared was very attentive and communicated our food allergies to the kitchen. Each of us ordered something different and we were all extremely pleased with our selections. We also were able to use our discount card which made us very happy! we enjoyed the meal in comfortable and relaxed surroundings and will definitely be back for more!
Courteous and professional service. The seafood and sushi rolls were fresh and tasted good.
I'm very late in writing this review. My apologies to management and our wonderful waiter! We went for a mid week lunch to celebrate a birthday. When we walked in I was rather underwhelmed because of the vastness & bright lights. I was wrong. The Staff were all very attentive yet not annoyingly so. The food was fantastic! I ordered the bronzini filet, though I had never seen it as anything other than a whole fish. The fish was fresh, sweet & and juicy. The skin was crispy and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. A beautiful plate! We had several cocktails and sangria, which were all perfectly prepared. Even the fish-and-chips were delicious! Fresh homemade shoestring fries seasoned to perfection. Yum! We were celebrating a birthday and they could not have been more Helpful or generous. They wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on the plate and actually gave the birthday girl a gift card to return. We would have returned anyway, But what an amazing gesture! This has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants for all of the above reasons & the fact that we were able to have a conversation throughout our meal and actually hear each other! That's pretty much a rarity these days. We highly recommend H2O to anyone who would quality food served in a pleasant environment by caring people. See you soon!!!
The wine dinner was excellent. Great pairing. Octopus was tender with great flavor as well as the breaded shrimp. Great night out with the wife.
Overall was very good. It’s not as good as the h2O in smithtown but still good. Drinks were excellent! Smaller portions of food. Service was okay, our waitress forgot
To put in a side order for us so it came after our dinner was done so that was a little annoying. But she was extremely nice and even offered to take one of our drinks off our bill for us for the inconvenience which was very professional! I would probably go back as we love all of the Bohlsen group restaurants but it wouldn’t be my top restaurant that they own.
Great food, drinks and service! The stuffed lobster was amazing!
What a great experience every time I go. The food is delicious and never a bad service in all the times I have been here. Highly recommend!!
Third visit to H20 in East Islip and by far the best experience. Delicious food and good service!
My boyfriend has raved about H2O in Smithtown, so we decided to give this location a try since it's closer to our current home. I'm not sure what happened, but the evening was just off. It was a weeknight, not packed, but service and timing was still off. Our waitress was very nice, but just seemed a bit aloof, not sure if she was new or what. We placed our order, drinks and starters came out fine. Then we waited...and waited...and waited. She came over to offer us dessert menus, not even realizing that we hadn't received our dinners yet. Our meals came out shortly after, and were just okay. I ordered the seared tuna and asked for it to be cooked rare. It wasn't seared at all, it was just a raw piece of tuna. I was hungry and thankful that I like sushi and that the quality of their fish is good, so I ate it without complaint, but rare seared tuna and raw tuna aren't the same thing. His meal was also just okay, nothing too special. Considering that we spent $200, we won't be returning to this location for just a mediocre meal.
Noted in my reservation that it was a special birthday dinner and asked for romantic table for 2. We got squished between multiple couples. It was hard for me to squeeze in to get in and out of my seat. Very disappointing. Couldn’t have a conversation without lady next to us listening in... not romantic at all. Fish was over cooked and dry. For $32, one would expect a better dish. There was another more private table which would seat 4 that remained vacant during our entire dinner. Would have been a much better experience had my requests been read and honored. No acknowledgement of birthday celebration... even TGIF will wish happy birthday to their patrons... very disappointing. Regret my restaurant choice for my boyfriends birthday dinner.
