To maintain a safe environment for you and Gyu-Kaku staff, we ask that all guests understand and adhere to the following:
- Reservations are mandatory. We hope that you will come to dine-in with us when you are ready. Please make a reservation via telephone or our website so that we can prepare for your visit.
- Please bring a mask and use it all times when you are not eating or drinking.
- We will measure your temperature upon entering the restaurant.
- To comply with spatial distancing rules we have spaced our tables out and limited seating capacity.
- There may be limits on party sizes.
- We are serving a limited menu. Not all Grand Menu items will be available during our immediate reopening.
- We only accept payment via credit or debit card. Cash payments respectfully declined.
My friend and I came here for lunch. The servers were very quick. They were polite and got all of our orders correct. The Li Hing Daquiri was amazing and the meats were so good. I love coming to this location. It's spacious and less crowded.
Need to hire more people. There was only one server for all 5 tables that I saw. It took over 30 mins to receive an order. When you are only given 90 mins to eat, that decreases the value of the “all you can eat” experience.
All you can eat menu is not complete. No replacement provided for the expensive meat lacking in menu.
Service was great...much better than Gens Pearlridge. They were out of a lot of items but didn't matter to us cause we weren't gonna eat any of that stuff anyway. Our server was great! Kept apologizing for the wait but it didn't really take long for our food to come out. Would definitely go there again.
Short staffed, no bartender, chicken unavailable, some dishes unavailable, food comes out at odd pace and not coordinated at all.

Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was no soap in the men's bathroom. The stalls were not maintained when I went in at 8:00 PM.
Food was great. It did take awhile for my server to get the food out though. I booked for 8:00 and didn't get anything until 8:40
Interesting restaurant. Beef dishes were good. We ordered from a set menu. Many items were not necessary and not even warm (wontons). Restaurant appeared tired.
This place is awful. Should have known when they sat us 20 minutes past our reservation time at a dirty table. The waiter cleaned the table with the most soiled rag I have ever seen. We ordered, food came, then the grill died continuously until they decided to seat us at another dirty table. We left without cooking half of our food because we were 1.5 hours into a casual business lunch. Zero discount for the multiple inconveniences. Save yourself the pain and go elsewhere.

The food was decent and the staff was friendly but very disorganized and we never got some of what we ordered. Would not visit again.
Place was not the cleanest and after ordering and waiting and waiting for food some was brought out and we asked about the rest of it and the waitress told us they were out of pretty much everything we ordered. (Cheese puff, filet mignon, basically had all the inexpensive items like chicken and brocili) would have been nice to know this when ordering as we probably would have left.
She then spilled a water on my wife and left all the soaking wet napkins on table for 30 minutes. Didn’t bring daughters correct drink, manager came over and my wife who would never complain let him know and he offered to let us order something else and they were out of basically everything.
Asked for napkins countless times, extra tongs none of it came.
Trevor the manager was trying but the server she basically ignored us and considering they were not half full it wasn’t because she was over worked.
Probably the first negative review I’ve ever left but it is deserved this time.
Then the bill came and we were over charged by 20%, will be interesting to see if that is remedied as it was said it would be.
We still tipped but I would recommend retraining the server or maybe have her do dishes instead.
Food was good like how it usually is. Wish there were more in the AYCE menu tho. Overall, great service.
The food was tasty but our burner kept going out spontaneously and we sometimes had to wait upwards of 5 minutes to get someone’s attention to turn it back on. This happened around 8-10 times during the course of the meal so you can imagine how irritating it felt by the end. The server was very nice. The big problem was the defective equipment we had to deal with.
Very delicious and affordable Lunch Menu! I would recommend making a reservation beforehand as the waitlist filled up pretty fast with walk-ins while we were waiting for our scheduled reservation time.
The food was great, but the service is ok. The server didn’t inform us that 1 of our order is delayed we have to check with them. Also we have to aak our utensils & ask for more water.

Going to this restaurant is a crapshoot. One visit it can be awesome and the next horrible. On this particular visit the service was lacking. We ordered the lunch AYCE for 3 of us but they only gave us place settings for 2. We asked repeatedly for a 3rd set and had to keep reminding our waitress who seemed very scatter brained. Then they were out of several items that they neglected to inform us when we placed our order. They had no miso soup, no seaweed soup, no shrimp and several other items I can't remember. The location in Mililani is managed much better.
Even though the restaurant only had one cook, our waiter Kane, was extremely nice, and so accommodating, he made sure we had everything, apologized for the wait, and took care of us by giving us extra food lol! Kane made our experience the best! Thanks Kane!
This chain is usually money. Not sure what the letdown was but they were out of a number of food and more importantly for me, adult beverage selections (hey it is summer after all). My party was the first seating on a Sunday and it seemed we needed to make a number of second choices on numerous selections. That being said the food was on par as most of the proteins rely on three awesome dipping sauces.
We truly miss Nicole and her awesome service. Kane is our new favorite who we'll be requesting from now on
Service is a little slow and they were out of some items on their menu. I recommend that after receiving your order of meats etc to place the next one to continue your experience.
Server kept forgetting the entire meal order from drinks to start to ending of meal. She just have just started.
We loved the food. But the cabbage salad and harami was a bit too much flavor for us. The grill heat was initially unstable though, we liked the dining here overall. Thanks!!
Went in on the 4th of July. Got seated right at reservation time. Trevor was our server. Very knowledgeable about the menu, checked on us frequently and kept beverages filled. Very pleasant experience.
Never a disappointment! Sad that our regular server Nicole no longer works there.
It was good but a little expensive than what I am used to being from Utah. I guess that is due to being in Hawaii.
No sauces for BBQ and they don't have scissors for secret pot we have to use knife cutting the meat.

We had a great time at Gyu-Kaku Kapolei. Our server, Kane, was very friendly and always checking in with us to see if there's anything we needed. We had the All You Can Eat Lunch menu and it was a good variety and plenty of food for the two of us. We would definitely go back there again.

We’d like to thank our server Kawailani who was very courteous n fun to talk to. She was very helpful n walked thru da whole ordering procedure with us! She was very patient n even let us look at da hard copy of da menu cause both my wife n I phones couldnt download the menu. It was fun n different dining experience for both of us n I’m sure we’ll b back!
This was our first time here. At first we were overwhelmed by the menu options. However our server made us feel at ease and helped us decide exactly what we should order without pushing his own agenda. We are both seniors so the all you can eat menus are discounted almost in half. After a few questions, our server went over what he suggested and made sure we had everything we wanted. Got to say without a doubt, everything that brought out was delicious. Service was excellent and can't think of anything negative to say. Absolutely satisfied with our experience here for dinner. Highly recommend Gyu-Kaku Kapolei to everyone. Must also recommend to make reservation at least a day ahead. Walk-ins had to wait almost an hour.
