Three tables for patio dining with grills. I didn't expect it but happy they have a process to maintain grilling.
COVID practices exceed their peers. Temps taken and to-go utensils available.
Our server was vigilant until a party was sat with a dog & puppy. The server touched the dog to give comfort for stepping on him/her but it's unknown if hands were washed before handling anything else after that touching. My entire experience was trashed w/ the arrival of this party and two dogs with furry coats in tow as hair does fly and I prefer not to eat with my own pets. None of this was hygienic. As much as I enjoy the restaurant & it was my 1st and only dining out since March 2020 - this failed on so many levels.
I always have a great experience here. It’s the first time I had some thing I wasn’t a huge fan of. The rare steak sushi was tough and the spicy tuna volcano was just ok. It could have used more sauce. I still recommend this restaurant and would go back again.
We had the meat lovers meal. Everything was great. My wife and I were full half way through the courses. Will definitely go back.
I always go to this location. But it has gone downhill. Last 2 times I’ve been here was not worth it. They don’t have a few items on the menu that we wanted to eat. This is the last time going to this location.
Overall good experience. The pre set meal for two is huge. Covid precautious takes seriously, nice to see.
They are doing a good job with temperature checks and Covid screening before dining in. They also have disposable utensils for use.
It was a beautiful setting and service was good.
Good did not feel fresh, I was interested in a more authentic experience but didn’t realize it was a super chain.
Service and food was lovely! I have dined at other Gyu-Kaku locations but will say this is my favorite because they have outdoor grilling! on the quiet end of randolph street so a lot less foot traffic. i felt safe and comfortable with the covid precautions that are in place (temperature check, distanced tables) will come back soon with my girls!
A lot of our orders were forgotten. We had to remind the waiters many times for simple items included in our sets like rice and cabbage.
I love eating here and every time I visit I make sure to come back!
Always a good experience. Good food and good value.
Gyu Kaku is always good, but not as good right now because they have eliminated some menu items during the pandemic. Also, on this visit, it was sometimes hard to find and get the attention of our server.
Seemed to be understaffed since service was very slow. When we sat down there was an old face mask on the chair. I’m a big fan of guy-kaku but don’t know if I’ll be coming back to this particular location.
The food is always great. Out of the three Gyu-Kakus in the city, this location is my least favorite - the set up feels cramped comparatively and the wait staff always seems busy/rushed even if the restaurant is fairly empty.
Such nice staff. Everyone was so nice. It’s super clean and the food was great
The service was very good, food was decent, yet given you do the cooking, the prices are high. When you add in upholstery in booths that is torn and in some cases repaired with duct tape, there are much better options, especially in this neighborhood. Do your homework and discover this is a chain of over 700 restaurants globally. Caveat Emptor
Everything was nice. The server was attentive and the food was great!
Awesome date night! Not too pricy which makes us want to come back again soon.
Food was amazing
Delicious and not overpriced. Would definitely recommend
The server made great recommendations. It helped us pick the best items!
Exceptional outdoor dining experience. Not many tables outside though.
Service was just okay. Waitress could have been more attentive.
Always have a good time and the food is great. Skirt stake was def the best not to round of the chicken. Overall was decent would go again for the experience and how fun it is to cook your own food I guess lol
None of our birthdays were acknowledged. I ordered a drink upon arrival, finished it half way through, and was never offered another. I had to drink water for the rest of the meal. I dined here quite often but today’s visit was simply disappointing.
Our server Daniel was great. I’m craving Gyu-Kaku once a month and always only have the Harami skirt steak and it never disappoints. Will be back once a month to satisfy my cravings.
Menu is very limited due to the COVID.
Got there and got great right away, the server has great knowledge of the menu and gave us a tour because it was our first time dining there.
He made great recommendations and we tried it it did not regret it, we will definitely come back again soon.
Come here for a great date night spot for some fun drinks and to mingle a little with the date. Great way to keep the gf happy and to try something new!
Great dining experience. They take your temperature and respect the social distancing guidelines. Great service! Happy hour specials until 5:45pm.
It was a little warm in the restaurant. Air conditioning should have been set to a cooler temperature.
Food was extremely salty and made everyone in our party sick that night. I’ve heard such good things but was very disappointed
It was great, the wait for food was a little too long for just a few customers. But overall service was amazing.
Excellent. Even having to be seated outdoors gave it a lil bit more of a fresh environment. Food was amazing. Service was even better. No complaints what so ever.
Amazing service! And the food was also delicious. The patio could use a slight improvement. Some music would be nice, plants, flowers etc.
Server spoke too fast and was difficult to understand.
