Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant is the second restaurant from fine dining chef Curtis Stone (of Maude) and the first he’s opened with his brother Luke Stone. Gwen is both a European-style, chef-driven butcher shop and a restaurant that is redefining fine dining in LA, with a menu that calls on fire-based cooking techniques. Whether you’re picking up house-made charcuterie, prime and rare breed meats from the retail store, enjoying an elegant feast in the dining room or relaxing with a bite and cocktail on the patio, Gwen delivers the highest standards of quality, taste and service.

Food was awful. Brisket was fatty and tough. Chicken was raw. I’m sure they thought everyone is wasted at Coachella and can’t tell the difference. One saving experience, service was amazing.

We had Gwen at Coachella as a pop up. The liver mouse and chicken thighs were incredible.

We visited Gwen at Coachella- it was extremely disappointing. We knew from the start it was an hours window which was fine but it was extremely hurried from the start, to the point they actually were taking plates away whilst we were still eating and they tried to serve our dessert whilst I still ate my main course. The menu is limited and my chicken was still pink and I had to return it. plastic cutlery and my fork kept bending when I tried to cut the chicken, I got through 6 forks!! In fairness the rest of the food was good. . Wine selection extremely limited. Staff not friendly in fact our server walked away whilst we were still talking to him just like a production line they had to get through. Definitely overrated and not worth the money in my humble opinion. They had already added an 18% tip which I would have liked deducted.

It was nice to sit down at the festival, but when we went it took to long to get the food, and almost missed the set we wanted to see.

We love Gwen and often go there for dinner in LA but the food was not worth the price especially the $95 steak. You can’t be charging your regular restaurant prices when your serving at coachella. The standard is not as high

Great pop up at Coachella music festival. Curtis Stone doesn’t disappoint. Had delicious grilled shrimp, chicken and Wagu steak. Salads were divine and fantasaruc ambiance. A must do dining experience at Coachella.
