Small menu but phenomenal balance of flavors, Michelin star restaurant inspired, perfectly executed fine dining in a casual yet tasteful setting. Very affordable so great value given the quality of the meal. Desert was stellar. High chairs available. We’re going back.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The food was fresh, delicious, and creative. We couldn't stop at our initial order and had to order more! The flavors were well balanced and paired well with the drinks on offer. The space is cozy and comfortable and the owners make you feel right at home. While there, we made our next reservation, as their menu is constantly changing. Don't miss out on this gem in Ottawa!

All food was very good, and as well a good value. The dessert was the only course we found too sweet, and over-priced.

Very nice little restaurant with great, friendly, welcoming staff/ambiance. Food fresh and expertly prepared. Selection is small but everything we had was delish

Go for the food and the great conversation with the chef and server. Delicious meal, quiet and casual atmosphere - will definitely be back for the next menu rotation

Absolutely loved our experience at Grunt. Space and ambience were very hip but low-key, all of our meals were outstanding and creative yet unpretentious, service was super friendly and prompt. Felt like I was back in Toronto or NYC - especially given it's somewhat hidden location. Will be a regular go-to spot!

An evening when everything went right! From the moment we were so warmly welcomed, to the comfortable & unpretentious surroundings, the friendly & attentive chef-owner, his wife, & staff, & of course the amazing meal itself. This is superb food prepared with loving care & attention. The menu is intentionally limited in scope, but this is its strength. There is quality, attention to detail, & pure enjoyment. Thank you so much, Jason, & all. We will be back ... often!
