The go to place when you don’t know what you want . Great met
We love The Grove but the quality of the food (we believe) in recent dining experiences has been less than what we have experienced in the past. Service has always been great for the most part.
Excellent service the entire evening and the food was delicious
Set patient wait staff. Food was great and very nice setting.
Great food, service and atmosphere, it never disappoints.
Amazing first time experience w friends visiting. Jacob was our waiter and we had exceptional service
Excellent menu and great service. So glad we decided to give it a try.
Great spot for weekend brunch! Our outside table was noisy. Food was good. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, but service was a bit slow.
I'd eaten here before and enjoyed the food. This time the food was disappointing. I ordered a $14 Smoked salmon omelette, fully expecting a large fluffy 2 or 3 egg omelette to be served. I received a small, dry omelette (looked to be one or 1-1/2 eggs at most) with a few flakes of salmon (not smoked/translation- not lox, as expected). On a large plate, it looked pitiful. I should have sent it back, but I was with old friends (hadn't seen in two years) and didn't want to make a scene. Ambience was lovely. Service was good, but had to ask for salt & pepper, and never received spoons even though two of us were drinking coffee. You'd think the server would have noticed the forks in our coffee cups!
One of the worst filet mignon I’ve ever had. Super small and tasteless. The salad was a mix of greens that were dry - not much dressing at all. It may have been an off night, because we have eaten there before and been pleased.
It was my 61st Birthday celebration. We had friends in from Jersey who did enjoy the Grove.
Wonderful food and fantastic service.
Everything was very good. Louis did a great job! The appetizers were a little bland in taste, but still good. I would suggest adding a little something to the cauliflower and cod bites dip appetizers? Otherwise a great night.
So nice to have such a pleasant restaurant here on Main Street.
Grouper sandwich is the best! Outdoor patio is great for gathering.
Lunch is good, not great. Selection is nice but not always as good as expected/
Potato chip appetizer had almost none of the toppings listed on the menu. Fish tacos had almost no flavor. Flatbread was cool not hot temperature.
Great location, outdoor dining, service very good and friendly. Food was served hot and timely. Quality was average. Lamb chops overcooked and small portion. Our party of 4 felt food could be better to compete with other top quality restaurants.
It’s always a pleasure to dine here, whatever the time of the day. The only thing I would change is the level of sound associated with the music. Why managers don’t get the concept that it serves little to no purpose, is beyond me. All that ends up happening is people talk over the music. It certainly doesn’t add to the ambiance. Otherwise, I’m a huge fan.
Not a mask to be seen indoors. No social distancing. Had to wait for our table outdoors for 20 minutes even with a reservation. Found too many disparate items on menu - felt like a diner menu to me in that way.
The food and service was excellent. We sat outside in the very pretty lanai area with the sides down for the high winds. The only negative was our pre-dinner cocktails were very unusual. We had a cosmopolitan and a margarita. Both were very tart/bitter and were nothing like what we expected. I would recommend sticking to standard cocktails vice getting the specialty drinks. They also surprised us with a slice of birthday ice cream cake (I included that information in our Open Table reservation) so they pay attention to the notes in the reservation.
This is a pleasant place mid-week but the weekend crowd changes everything. I don't know why restaurants insist on playing background music that everyone has to shout over, making it even harder to hear each other.
Some of our food was fine, but most better left in the kitchen. The bean burger was flavorless mush, the fries were wilted and oily, a friend's burger was overcooked. Mussels tasteless.
Waitress was very good, apologetic
Our first time at The Grove. The outdoor seating was nice and plentiful. Our service was very slow...our waiter was very nice (Louis), but it took a very long time for our meals to come out of the kitchen from the time we ordered. He was very good about keeping us posted and you could tell he was embarrassed by the length of time from order for us to get our food. The meal itself was delicious (everyone enjoyed their entrees). My only suggestion would be the timing from order to delivery to the table could be improved upon (others near us were getting their meals before us and we had ordered and arrived way ahead of them).
Great night out. Food fantastic. Will definitely do this again.
Fabulous outdoor venue. Surprisingly crowded and noisy. Service was excellent as was the food.
Waiter was patient not too overbearing but quick to answer requests. Host acknowledged birthday and special occasion upon arrival.
We had a really great dinner! We went last minute and are so happy we got in. They were a little short staffed but will definitely be going back.
The waitstaff was great. Very attentive. We sat outside around the fire pit table. The only complaint we had were the chairs were too short for the height of the table.
Food was great. Yummy crab cakes, French dip sandwich was good as well. My friend really enjoyed the lollipop lamb chops too.
Nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.
I choose this restaurant after reviewing places near us. We live in Pinellas county but always looking for different dining experiences. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 did not disappoint us at all🥰. My husband and I enjoyed a quiet Valentine's Day 💐 dinner on the patio outside near a fireplace table. The warmth from the 🔥 table was an added accommodation to the evening. Our waitress even explained the menu to us being it was our first time dining there and was able to recommend drinks and menu items that our taste and budget. I look forward to stopping by again but for a late lunch next time.
I highly recommend everything was amazing.
The seafood was great. Reservations are recommended. And they have great outdoor seating.
It was a valentines date night and the lights were bright - food was over cooked and we were sat right in the traffic pattern where everyone walked by our table
We came back this year because we had a wonderful time and meal last year. Our experience was not very good this time. To start off both of our meals came out basically raw. We sent them back to be cooked to medium rare and I think they microwaved them. My rack of lamb was very boring with lack of flavor. My wife was satisfied with her filet mignon. We only order 1 dessert – Carrot cake. The Carrot cake was room temperature and mushy. Not a very good dinning experience for $105.
Food was delayed and indercooked
Disappointing for what we paid. Very limited menu as it was "holiday menu". Steak was undercooked. Salad came out with no dressing. Asparagus was overcooked. Music was too loud. Coffee wasn't even good. Have been to a number of places since moving to LWR and so many better options. Won't be back.
First time at Grove. It was a nice experience. Highly recommended
Food was very tasty. They should upgrade their coffee which is mediocre
The outdoor dining is in a nice setting with roof overhead and large open air window openings. The service was also prompt and courteous. The food was OK but nothing special. Food prices and drinks (wines) were expensive which is why we don't rate this a good value. Not sure we'd go back anytime soon for that reason.
Easy to find location and service was good considering we went for Valentine's Day brunch, when the restaurant was literally full to capacity. The waitress was very attentive and helpful, food was very good. Really appreciate the fact that brunch prices weren't raised for Valentine's Day. Recommend the Grove and will give dinner a try based on this positive experience.
Our server was amazing! He kept our drinks coming and was so sweet and patient! Food was good, drinkers were better, service was awesome! Will be back for sure!
Server should tell customers of drink specials. We didn’t know about mimosa for brunch Sunday
