This was our second time at Grindstone. This is a nice neighborhood place with a varied menu of favorites. The food is good and a good value. Our server this time was not good. Although pleasant, he started off complaining that he was busy and seemed less than happy to have another table. He forgot one of our drinks and then ordered the wrong meal for another of our party. At the end he just gave us the bill with no offer for dessert or additional drinks. He seemed to really want us out the door. Overall disappointing but not a disaster. We will try other places on the square however.

Consistently hard working friendly wait staff and convenient location. Inconsistent food quality at a premium price. We keep coming back because of the former and those meals were everything is near perfect.

I went there on Mother’s Day with my two daughters. It was extremely busy, so that affected the service. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant, but I think the restaurant was overwhelmed that day. I had French onion, soup, crab dip, and brussels sprouts, which were all delicious.

This was my second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was just okay, so I gave it another chance. We ate here for Mother's Day brunch. We had reservations and were seated promptly. After ordering, my daughter observed our server on her phone and rolling her eyes. Then, she overheard her tell another server that she hates working Mother's and Father's Day because the tips weren't very good. Now to the food. I ordered eggs Benedict, which were okay, but the yolks were hard. My husband had the omelet, and had to put ketchup (which he never does with eggs) on it because he said there was no flavor. My daughter said that her food was only lukewarm. My mom enjoyed her meal! I wanted to like this restaurant because of the ambiance and downtown location. However, that was not the case; so I've given it two chances and probably won't go back.

I had 2 of the sliders, they were delicious, house salad and tomato soup was also amazing!y mom enjoyed the salmon and au gratin potatoes, my husband enjoyed the pickle brined chicken sandwich and said you could actually taste the pickle brine, my son had the bourbon whiskey chicken and it was amazing too. So much good food to choose from and great atmosphere. Will def be returning. A+++
