Grindstone Public House
We lover this restaurant! It’s our go to place whenever we get the chance!
Celebrated my friend's 40th, just 3 ladies catching up, perfect place for it.
1st time visitor, what a great experience. Food , service and decor exceeded my expectations. Mike (the bartender) was the best. Gave us all suggestions for dinner and he was ....Right on the Mark ! Get the Whiskey chicken, we’ll be happy
I’ll be back.
Went here for first time to check it out. We were sat upstairs and it was so loud we could not hear each other. Not sure if it would have been better downstairs but it was super loud. I ordered scallops and sweet potato fries. Fries came out cold and soggy. I sent them back and second batch was better. The scallops are $26 and there were only 3 bacon wrapped. Scallops were done perfectly but it looked like such a small portion. Would have been nice to see something else on plate. I was still kind of hungry. My bf had chicken Parmesan and he liked it. His portion compared to mine was vastly different. Not sure if I’d return since it wasn’t a great experience
Formally from Noblesville, we went back for the hype of this place. There is NOTHING special about this place or the food. Save your time and money. Blugh! Definitely NOT kid friendly either, so prepare yourself. This was our first visit and we don’t see any reason to go back. Our server was pleasant and kind, but we don’t believe even she wanted to be there. Good luck.
Fantastic food, great service and just a wonderful experience overall!
Nice menu with a wide variety of choices from sandwiches to steaks and seafood. Great value on Wednesday night with a 6 oz. filet and 2 sides for $15 that was tender and cooked perfectly. Nice craft beer and cocktail selections as well. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back for another visit soon.
The staff was great and very attentive. Our two year old daughter was being a two year old and I asked for her side dish of fruit to be brought out before her meal and the gentleman immediately grabbed it and brought it out. Our waitress was spot on and provided great service throughout the entire meal.

This is my new favorite local restaurant. Everything we’ve had has been really good.
The process of checking out was a mess. The 5 of us waited 20 minutes and when the checks came, none of the bills were correct. I was disappointed when the rest of our experience was quite nice.
Pretty loud upstairs. Food okay, especially for value. Food served in a respectable amount of time.
Food was great as always. Try the nachos. Never had a bad meal here. Dirk a are good as well.
Glad to hear you are fans of ours. We take pride in everything we do here and hearing feedback like this makes it all worth it. Hope to see you again soon! -Jacob Foster General Manager
Enjoyed our visit. Food was good. Service was excellent and quick. Fun atmosphere. Will be back.
I’ve eaten at Grindstones Public House several times with many different people. Every time we had great food and great service!
Birthday celebration with ages from 4 yrs to 95 yrs. accommodating on portion size for 95 yr old greatly appreciated
Wonderful local spot that we will frequent in the future! Prime rib and au jus had magnificent flavor, service was efficient and friendly, and we loved the booth.
Great Valentine’s dinner at Grindstone! We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly. The ambiance was great, though the noise level was a bit on the louder side, so be aware if that’s something that bothers you. I had the prime rib with a side of smashed potatoes and a house salad and my husband had a burger with fries and Mac and cheese. The prime rib was really good and the horseradish cream that it comes with was fantastic - it really elevated the dish and I don’t even really care for horseradish! Also the side salad had really good ranch dressing. My husband said the burger and Mac and cheese were some of the best he’s had in awhile. For dessert we each had a slice of cake: I had chocolate with fresh vanilla Bean ice cream and he had carrot cake. The chocolate is rich and creamy with ganache and the ice cream was to die for. My husband’s carrot cake was better than his mom’s, which is a pretty big feat. Overall, great service, great food, and a great time. We’ll definitely be back.

The food and service was excellent! We were seated in the bar area which is a little cramped for space.
Thank you for the review Phillip! I'm glad you had an enjoyable experience. We are looking into different ways to make the bar area feel a little more spacious. I appreciate your feedback. -Jacob Foster General Manager
“Roasted veggies “were steamed and soggy
Caesar salad was amazing!!
Mahi was so tough you couldn’t chew
Bar table experience and feel/ambiance is much better than the feel in the no bar restaurant tables.
Our table was near the bar so the noise level was quite high but we were still able to carry on a conversation. Our waitress, I wish I knew her name, was outstanding!! Really knew her business and kidded and kept us entertained. Going home after work to celebrate her 5th anniversary.
We'll be back.
Great place. Good service, good menu selection, cool atmosphere. Great addition to downtown Noblesville.
Have always like this restaurant. This night they were not on their game. The blackened tuna was not blackened and really bad overall. Couldn’t eat. French onion soup was great. Sliders really good. Probably just need to avoid the fish in the future. Will return.
First time dining here, but will be back. We had drinks, appetizers and dinner. We were a party of 4 adults and we all enjoyed our food and drinks.
Our small table was right next to the kitchen which is ugly and loud. We love the place and food though but that searing was a bummer.
Food needs work... we had 5 meals at the table & all needed work. Steaks were tough, salmon was burnt, sides weren’t hot. Disappointed
Grindstone’s is a go to restaurant for us. We really like the value for the great food we get. I’ve had probably 10 different meals and all were very good. If you need some great comfort food try the chicken noodles on mashed potatoes. Almost as good as Mom’s
Atmosphere was great. Ahi tuna is what the menu states. It is not Ahi. Everything was pretty bland. Service was great and all the staff was very attentive. Food quality is lacking for the price.
The Devour Indy menu was great!! Recommend the appetizer BBQ potato skins, and the bread pudding was awesome! Meatloaf has always been the best!
Salmon was raw twice. People we brought were not happy with food
Restaurant had a nice environment. Our party was seated in a booth by entrance to the kitchen/bathrooms. It was a little difficult to have a conversation due to the noise level. Unfortunately, was not impressed by the food at all. Ordered a Filet Mignon cooked medium. Meat came out very dry and tough. It also tasted very salty. Other guests with our party order prime rib, which also appeared very dry. Some of the sandwiches and other dishes coming from the kitchen looked good, maybe just avoid the steak here.
Love this place! Food and service was great on both of our visits.
We had a fabulous service. Friendly and efficient staff. Delicious food! Jill was an excellent server. All around enjoyable experience. We will be back!
Food and service was spot on. Only draw back is noise level. Recommend some sound absorbing acoustical panels to deaden sound.
We had reservations for 6:15 and when we got there early, our table was ready. Service was excellent and the food was fabulous. We both had the prime rib special which had amazing flavor. It is a huge piece of meat at 12 ounces, but yummy. We will be going back.
Food was great and service was outstanding. Our seats however were horrible. A two person table in the middle of the restaurant right in front of the kitchen with NO privacy and servers running back and forth the entire time. We specifically reserved a table ahead and there were other tables available (booth) etc that they could’ve seated us at. We were clearly out at the very worst table in the restaurant.
Great place to take the wife for a nice night out. We met some friends and had an enjoyable visit over couple beers and good meal.
Excellent prime rib!!
Food is always amazing. People are always very friendly.
