   Table booking was incorrect despite calling the day before, service was slow, items were missed, the bill was incorrect however the food was good and it had a busy vibe

   I reserved a table for 3, and our table was situated downstairs. The temperature was really quite cold and there was a steady stream of people walking back and forth to use the loo after doing a 10k run! This wasn’t the fault of Grind, I appreciate that. The service was so slow and we had to wait 2 hours for 3 x vegetarian breakfasts! When we asked where our meals were, we were offered some toast, which we accepted, but we were actually charged for it! So rude! No money removed from the bill. We were offered a free coffee to take away, which was rubbish. Bad experience, I won’t return

   We had booked a table for three a week in advance, and when we arrived we were seated at a (very small) table for two. After much complaining, we we given a compromise of longer on bottomless brunch to be moved 20 minutes after sitting down. While this was a good compromise, it did mean that my friend’s birthday brunch didn’t quite get off to the fun, positive start we had first hoped. We then felt a little awkward for having complained to begin with, even though the table would not have been big enough for three cups of coffee, let alone three plates of food and two glasses each

   The other Grinds are much nicer. This one feels a bit old. The toilet sometimes had such a big queue that people were just stood right by the table. I think upstairs was nicer but we were sat downstairs.

   We were sat next to the window and had to keep our coats and scarves on the whole time as it was freezing!! We did ask to move but we were told there was nowhere we could move to (even though there were 2 tables free downstairs.) The table as also very cramped and I was made to sit on the end of the bench which was half the size of the normal seating - very uncomfortable. The waitresses were friendly. The food was OK, but due to being sat next to the door it was cold within about 5 minutes which ruined the experience.

   Food was tasty and beautifully presented, good cocktail menu too. Loved the pink lighting and general ambiance inside the cafe.

   The service was absolutely wonderful, all members of staff were great. A mistake was made with my order and our host corrected it straight away, and even gave us a free coffee for the inconvenience. My only negative is the toilets - very dark and dingy, with a very strange alternative to music being played through the speakers

   Brilliant service - we sat there for two hours and weren't chased away. They didn't have the salmon I ordered so they charged me nothing for the whole dish! Definitely book ahead.

    Really enjoyed it, friendly service, good food, great ambiance and whilst they were bust. once we'd finished I didn't feel rushed. Highly recommended
