Sports Bar
Grille 254's name is inspired by the longest held PGA tournament record score of 254 shot by Tommy Armour III at La Cantera Resort Course in 2003. Over the four days of the Valero Texas Open, Tommy awed spectators as he set a 14-year PGA tournament record, and until 2017, his 72-hole total score was held as the highest tournament score in PGA history.

Grille 254 celebrates his accomplishment and the game of golf by merging La Cantera Resort & Spa’s culinary talent with a classic sports bar experience in the ever growing Northwest San Antonio corridor. Patrons can expect scratch food offerings, a full bar and craft cocktail menu, and 24 beers on tap to cool off after a round of golf, or unwind after a day in the office. Sports lovers can enjoy live broadcasts of all major sporting events on one of many extra-large 4K TV’s throughout the space.

Thought from internet description would be a popular, fun place. Hardly anyone there. Drinks were awful...not fixed properly and cost 16.50 each, much more than at other fine restaurants let alone bars. Food was marginal. Only highlight was waitress.. little blond from Wisconsin.

I thought this was one of the most reasonably priced restaurants on the La Cantera property - both food and drink. Had the veggie burger. It was great. The kids meal options were good. The pretzel appetizer was awesome!! Huge! And so soft. Would go back.

A full bar area would lend itself to being loud for dinner. On our visit, the restaurant was very slightly attended. Our server was new and we all had to feel our way thru the menu and beverages. Other staff members assisted with our needs (nice). There were 4 of us and we all had different items from the menu. All were excellent. Hope the traffic grows as we will want to return.
