In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

We had a lovely lunch of fish and chips, burger, gammon and scampi all dishes were delicious

Greendale is a great stopping place for lunch and to stock up on supplies on our journey to our Devon or Cornwall holiday destination. The food is always good and the service team attentive. Worth a stop.

Very busy lovely atmosphere. Food lovely( toasted sandwiches) arrived quickly even though they were busy. Staff friendly and helpful. A little pricey but everywhere is nowadays. All in all good experience. Would definitely go again.

Have visited many times before but this was the first time our party have sat in the outside area and found it to be a lot less noisy. Will sit there in future!

Firstly order came out incorrect, secondly it is quite expensive for what you get compared to other farm shop cafes and garden centre cafes. Even a basic full English should include hash brown and tomato like it does everywhere else not be an extra charge. Stokes sauce bottles are being refilled with a cheaper brand (you can taste the difference) but aside from this they are filthy and congealed. It was even impossible to get brown sauce out as the cap was so congealed. If you going to refill then at least clean caps and necks of bottles. We won’t be going back as better value and service elsewhere. Really can’t see why it is so busy all the time.

We booked our table for 11.15am. shown directly to our table, everything was great. We then was asked if we would like drinks while we selected our orders. Took a little while to come, around 15 mins. We made our food order around 11.30. our daughter wanted the gammon wich was on the lunch menu but not able to order until 12, wich you can respect as lunch menu started at 12pm. Our breakfasts turned up at 11.55 wich wasnt amazing but average with no complaints. The waiter then turned up at our table at 12 to take my daughters order for the gammon, i also ordered another americano. After 20 mins i called a waitress over to ask were my coffee was, to be told abruptly that there is a backlog on orders. Around 12.30 my daughters food arrived, we was horrified to see the worst piece of gammon we had seen. It was just a thick piece of bacon. A burnt pineapple. Undercooked peas and cold chips. By this point we had done. We didnt have enough time to wait another 30mins / 1 hour for another. We just asked for the bill. To be fair they did not charge for the gammon but this said, this is suppose to be a high class farm shop, they have no excuse for the gammon provided. I wouldnt expect this from a motorway cafe, this was a company that sells meats. Overall the service was extremely poor and food below average. Untrained staff. So plenty of room for improvement.

Variable food menu. Seated outside. Shame not fully covered as when it rain tables on outer side get very wet.

The butcher farm shop ran out of all Sunday roast dinner options. Sorry we just sold the last ones. You have been selling roast dinners every week for years. You can’t possibly run out. So I had chicken pie. It’s was dried out, tasteless. My son wanted Omelette off the menu they said no. Chips were average, and dried out. All in all not worth it, just there to sell over priced food to holiday makers. The place has gone down hill, greed, lost its farm shop good honest food ethos.
