Hugo served us at the bar and he did a wonderful job. Service was impeccable.
Very good customer service. Menu a little short for light eaters. Very busy trendy place.
Plenty of parking nearby. The welcome was warm and friendly, and while busy, the service was quick and efficient, the waiters extremely well informed and with a sense of humor as well. The seating is very comfortable. The wine list is superb.
The menu is extensive, and each item elegantly prepared and presented. And delicious +++++++! The osso bucco could be the best in town.
We had a wonderful evening - exquisite, authentic Italian food, served in a beautiful ambiance and accompanied by excellent service. A most enjoyable meal was had by all! We look forward to returning soon. A presto!
Food was great, service was excellent!
Amazing Resturant with phenomenal service. Octopus starter is a must, truffle pasta is to die for and veal loin was best I’ve had in years. Highly recommend!
Cozy and trendy! Best waiter, best food, best desserts. My profiterole was so good, my husband abandoned his dessert and ordered one also. This leans Italian, and the pasta is perfection. My osso buco was one of the best I've ever eaten. Now, if they would just open a restaurant in San Antonio TX. . . .
One of the best dinners my wife and I had the pleasure to experience ever. Terrific food, great service and a beautiful restaurant as well. The beef cheeks were amazing! We will definitely be back when we visit Montreal the next time.
Disappointed, had veal chop and wife had halibut special. Had high expectations but next time I will try their homemade pasta.
Where is the 6? Awesome food and service as always. Gratcia? Merci!!!! Superb!!!
Great food and wine list. Menu is short but great selection. The entrees are all good!
Music was inappropriate. The techno/club music detracted from the experience. We had burrata as a first course. It was very close to starting to ‘sour’ and go off. The veal chop for our main was over-salted and to be honest, a bit gross. Maybe we made poor choices but we probably won’t be back
Unfortunately this second visit was not up to our expectations. The service between the primi, secondi and on to the main meal was very long. We later found out that they were catering to a very large group. The food was at best lukewarm and in fact portions of the vegetables were served cold. The Tuna steak dish was not eatable. Too bad, I liked this place. Time to move on.
Food is as excellent. Service very good. The entre took a while to arrive but was otherwise very good
We sat at the bar and the service was pleasant, but uneven, much like the food. The carpaccio app was excellent and the Tuna crude special was just average. The gnocchi was ok and the lobster pasta ok to better than ok. A minor point, the bread/bread sticks were stale at best.
The service was efficient and the ambiance was nice. Unfortunately it just wasn’t a great overall dining experience. Perhaps an off night.
I want to recommend going as we heard multiple great reviews and there were some really nice moments. I think there may be better Italian options in Montreal, but again this may have been an off night and worth a try as the people and service are definitely trying to make it a good experience. It just didn’t work out tonight. I hope/think this was the exception.
Excellent food, ambiance, waitstaff! Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
Graziella made fantastic pasta. The pesto pasta was superb. The beef carpaccio was very tasty as was the avocado salad. The lamb special and the veal chop had wonderful flavor. The restaurant was beautiful and quiet. We could hear ourselves talk. We were too full to have dessert.
My partner and I went to Graziella for a late night dinner around 9:30pm on a weekday. Despite not being a set option, we asked our server if a tasting menu would be possible and he happily complied with our request. If it were a busier night, perhaps this would not be possible, but we were so grateful for the experience! Every dish served was beautifully presented and each bite was better than the next. We had scallops, octopus, pasta, lamb and cornish hen. For dessert, we were serve mini panacotta and a hazelnut chocolate dessert which were both sublime. To drink, we enjoyed the Nord as well as their signature ‘Graziella cafe’ and both were spectacular. Overall, this was an amazing experience and a restaurant we would highly recommend.
Dining at Graziella was an unforgettable experience. The waiter was knowledgeable about the extensive wine menu choices, and recommended something other than what we had originally chosen, and we were appreciative of his suggestion. The food was fresh, beautiful, and exquisitely prepared. Again, our waiter made suggestions that we happily agreed to, and we were pleasantly surprised. My husband of 31 years and I have dined all around the world, and this restaurant, on the edge of "Old Montreal", is now one of our top ten favorites. We are planning another trip to Montreal and this will be one of the highlights of trip!!!
The service was great from the minute we walked in the door. The space is light and airy, with very talk ceilings. It just feels elegant. The food itself could not be beat. Both my wife and I had the special appetizer (fried squash blossoms) and I could have just eaten plate after plate of those. Then we each had pasta and dessert, with a nice dry Sicilian white wine. A very special and delicious meal.
Excellent restaurant,bel accueil.bon service.cuisine raffinée.
Couples night out.
We had an amazing experience with amazing wine suggestions from Gérard (in particular the Marsala with cheese after dinner - a discovery for us). The menu is structured around a 3 course Italian meal. I recommend that you stick to 2 courses unless you have a serious appetite. The service was first rate, attentive, professional, discrete, and unhurried. The dinner came with a hefty price tag but this is one occasion where the experience was definitely worth it.
What an amazing restaurant! Everything was perfect. The food is absolutely delicious and very creative. The ambiance is also well thought of with just the right amount of lighting soothing to the eye.
Extensive wine list and the staff was very well versed on the choices and recommendations. Pedro, our server was perfect.
We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back. The only draw back is finding parking. Please make sure to give you a bit of head time and expect to walk a little.
Amazing place amazing chef and team !
Food is just too delicious, fresh and créative
What a disappointment. We had heard great things about Graziella but that wasn't meant to be in our case. The service was absolutely terrible with numerous mistakes and our main dishes arriving 20 minutes apart. Supposedly there was an issue with my lamb dish and I was only notified after my girlfriend's dish was served. I was asked to pick something else, which I did, only to be told 15 minutes later that my original dish was on it's way.
By that point any other restaurant would have apologized. That didn't happen as we were pointedly ignored for the rest of the dinner.
The food was passable in terms of Italian fare but far too expensive for it's quality and presentation. This feels like more of a tourist trap than an authentic "Montreal" restaurant.
Our dining experience at Graziella was horrendous - beyond disappointing.
Even though we were dressed extremely well and speak fluent French, we were seated in an extremely cramped and unappealing area of the restaurant, sandwiched between American tourists. Noticing that there were empty tables in the more attractive dining room area, we requested to move - especially because it was hot where they stuck us - right across from the kitchen (the restaurant is not air-conditioned). We were told that the tables were "not available." The tables remained empty the entire time we were there.
We ordered and waited more than 45 minutes for the appetizer - a squash blossom with cheese. After waiting for such a long time, we were shocked to receive a portion that was so tiny - two bites at the most. It was a joke. We then asked how long the delay would be for the entree - and our server indicated that it probably would not be as long but he did not know for sure. It was at this point that we decided to leave.
The manager was very distressed that we were leaving, and he offered to move us to another table. We told him (extremely politely) that the service was unacceptable, where they stuck us was inexplicable, and that another extreme delay for the entree would be unacceptable. Instead of being appropriately apologetic and acknowledging the issues we raised (I am not at all exaggerating) he was defensive and unpleasant. I might also add that we were not even comped the water we paid for.
We travel a lot and dine all over the world. We are polite and appropriate. We are accustomed to dining at upscale restaurants when we travel because we live in San Francisco and New York and are spoiled and used to eating great food. We intentionally choose select restaurants but we are not impossible to please and we are always respectful. This restaurant was a huge rip-off, with horrible service and a portion size that they should be ashamed of given the price of their food.
A little noisy. Tables small and close, no tablecloths in the modern style. Creative cuisine not too bad. Service good. Nice cheese offering at the end.
Our waiter was amazing, explained things so well but efficiently as well. really great recommendations for food and portion.
restaurant setting is made so the noise level is amazing. the scallops, octopus and gnocchi were to die for.
Only small little disappointment: the truffle pasta.. didn't taste like truffles at all! truffle usually has a very strong taste and smell and I couldn't feel it at all. I'm sure they would've replaced it if I had asked since the service was outstanding.
I would go back anytime!
Exceptional dining. Service was impeccable. So was the food.
