Graziella Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Our son chose the restaurant for his 21st Birthday.
Italian homemade food at its best! The pasta is so light, it’s the delicate cradle for the tasty filing.
My husband started with foie gras whilst I chose scallops.
We also had an assortment of amazing cheeses and drank a Condrieu La petite côte from the Rhone region in France.
Service was very good , waiter was friendly and nice.
Appetizers were great .
Ravioli duck was very dry inside and we politely informed the waiter but not much was said or happened regarding that .
Main dish was very good as well.
Overall great experience except for that duck ravioli dish which left me with a bad taste in my mouth and will be what I remember unfortunately .
This was a wonderful experience. This is the third time we have been to Graziella and each time has been as great as the previous one. We tried four of the different appetizers and four of the entrees. Everyone sampled each other meal and there was unanimous praise for all of the dishes. We sampled the squid, the Baretta cheese and the pork loin for starters and each were perfectly prepared. Our main dishes varied from beef ribs to sea bass to pasta with truffles and guinea fowl. Again all were wonderful. The wine pairings suggested by our superb waiter were excellent. The service was impeccable and friendly and the ambience was perfect for a family out celebrating a birthday. Some people may think the prices are a little on the high side but when you combine the entire evening it was definitely worth every penny. I really look forward to going back there again.
Our first opportunity to try this high acclaimed restaurant was rewarded with an outstanding evening of inventive cuisine, and impeccable service in one of the most beautiful restaurants we have ever visited. I had the Burrata and the Pappardelle with Lamb, along with a delightful Barbaresco. My husband had the squash soup and the sea bream, both daily additions. He loved this Chianti Riserva recommended by the knowledgable waiter. We cannot wait to return.
My friend and I ordered the scallops for appetizers and the two of them were plump and delicious. The puree was very tasty. My friend ordered the step which was thinly sliced with a small side of veggies and potatoes.Presentation is very pretty. I decided to try the special of the evening which was shared by the waiter-a kind of surf n 'turf-sweetbreads coated in cornmeal and lobster tail thinly sliced with a mouth watering sauce and chanterelle mushrooms. too full for dessert so that was all! Loved everything about the ambience and would definitely go back!
It started out fine... the service was good and the appetizers were fine... it all went downhill when my daughter received her meal: a lamb “agnello” dish... she smarted at the taste of the meat... my mom took a small bite of the lamb... instant dislike...
At $39 Canadian, I was not about to let the meal go, but one bite was enough to convince me that they were right... it was clearly “off”.
We’re Italian and lamb is a staple; we know what good lamb should taste like!
I told the waiter that the lamb tasted “off”. He sent the dish back and within 1 min returns stating “I’m sorry, but the Chef says there’s nothing wrong with the Lamb...”
Ok... so my daughter has nothing to eat? Are you kidding me? thankfully, my mom was unable to finished her osso buco and shared her dish. At the end of the meal, I asked for the check and voilà! The Lamb is on the bill!
I kindly stated to the waiter “you didn’t take this off the bill?” He says “Sorry, but I cannot”... so I replied “Sorry, but I cannot tip you if this (dish) remains on bill”.
I paid, sans tip, and proceeded to leave.
The waiter was clearly upset and was speaking to the captain on what transpired... I quickly interjected, telling the captain what happened and he replied “this is fresh, Quebec lamb!”...translation “I’m an idiot”...
I took offense... and told him in Italian (hey it’s an Italian restaurant no?). Every dish was fine except the lamb... 3 people can’t be wrong... but you want to take me for the fool? Sorry, you’re the fool!
Honestly, if this happened in NYC, I would’ve been compensated for the dish... whether it’s a new dish to replace the original order; free dessert for the table; a bottle of wine on the house... something... but nothing was done...
So, if you’re in the mood for fine cuisine with a touch of arrogance and complete disdain for the customer, then by all means, enjoy!
