    It was our first time at Grappa and we will definitely return. It was a great experience, great staff and the food was excellent. We had a nice table on the front balcony which gave us a view right down main.

    Server was outstanding throughout the night. Appetizers, soups and drinks were great. We ate on the patio and are usually warmed in the cool early summer nights by heaters, but there were none this time. We were offered blankets instead. My entre was underwhelming and the main course took a very long time to come out. By the time it did, the sun was down, and it was pretty cold. The outdoor heaters would have been ideal.

    The food was fantastic. Teresa was even better. Excellent suggestions and descriptions of the food that made it perfect. We were very pleased.

    The appetizers were good. We had the tuna and the flatbread. The tuna was quite well done, the flatbread was just on the edge of being too salty. The entrees were fairly poor. We had the veal and the ribeye. The meat was cooked very well on each dish, however the au gratin was cold and incredibly sweet. We did not eat any of it. The veal was fantastic, but the polenta was very average. Asparagus was undercooked to the point of being inedible and the steak was close to rare (I ordered medium) and the fat was not very well rendered. Overall bill was close to 300, definitely not worth that cost. But the service was good, they were attentive and quick to bring refills and clear plates. I doubt we will ever go back.

    We had the BEST experience at Grappa! We had a rehearsal dinner party that was excellent on all accounts - service, food, wine - all exquisite. My husband and I even went back one more time before heading home because it was so good! Same excellent food and service. We highly recommend! (FYI Note: because this is an historical building, there are steps to navigate. Be aware of this if you have mobility issues.).

    I am sorry to have to write this review as Grappa used to be a very good restaurant a number of years ago when my wife and I visited a few times. The server was fine and was tipped appropriately, but was not a very skilled waitress. The food was extremely disappointing when we took our daughter there for her Med school graduation. While I do not mind paying for good fare, this was an exception. The final bill came out to 360$ for four people with three drinks of 1.5 oz that were very overpriced. The tagliatelle bolognese was poorly prepared and lacked the described ingredients, the sauce was obviously hastily prepared and very lackluster…I wouldn’t even call it bolognese and I have eaten at formidable Italian restaurants …I have had better at pizza places for a fraction of the cost. The pasta was not fresh and poorly cooked with some chunks of hard vegetables. The penne ala vodka was not penne ala vodka , but more like a dry pasta primavera with little to no sauce. Presentation on all dishes was sloppy and unappealing to look at. Halfway through the meal a staff member asked if he could take our plates. I could go on about the stuffed chicken dish which was also poorly prepared and sloppy. I left embarrassed and will never return again ! I was so disappointed that my mind was racing as I Tried to sleep that night. Grappa is nothing like it used to be, the interior has not been maintained and the cook staff is not well educated in culinary treatments. The prices are no where near justified for such poor fare. I felt as if I’d been taken to the cleaners. I’m so sorry to see that a once good restaurant has declined so badly.
