We had reserved a table of 10. We were early- the table was ready but the server was not. We had a mix of orders from sandwiches to pasta to salmon. Some were served hot and fresh. My salmon was cold (as were the asparagus and mashed potatoes with it). My son ordered a pot pie- which he had the last time we were here. It was less than satisfactory. I was glad that most at our table were satisfied but overall- I was very disappointed and next family meal- we will try a different venue.

I would highly recommend Granite City buffet, the food is excellent. We ate at Granite City buffet for our Thanksgiving meal. I especially loved the pot roast with potatoes and carrots, yum.. Oh and the squash and turkey. My husband loved the dressing and gravy. Everything was delicious.

Cost of Buffet was a fair value, but not an outstanding value at 35.00 per person. For us perhaps the 15.00 per plate would have been a better choice. The staff were attentive and friendly and I think that is outstanding considering how busy the Thanksgiving Buffet was when we were there.

We made reservations in advance so did not have to wait in line. Great atmosphere and very kind servers. Great food choices in the buffet. Everything tasted very good with the exception of the Mac n Cheese which was very dry. We were visiting our daughter who attends NDSU so this was a perfect place for our family Thanksgiving meal.

We had a wonderful experience. My parents enjoyed it a lot and my 95 year old dad told our server he plans to have Thanksgiving buffet next year. Thank you!!

Good food at somewhat higher price. Glazed shrimp app is excellent and very picante. Sunday evening (6ish) so not very crowded. Quick service. Really nice staff. Grilled salmon was pretty average. Jambalya was great.

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time. No one else was waiting for a table, the hostess said she couldn't seat us until closer to 10. More families came in and got told 5-10 minute wait time, with no reservations. They got seated before us. We then didn't get seated until 10:15 and families that did not have reservations kept getting sat before us. She then said she had to find so.ewhere for us to sit and sat us in the bar as she said that was the only spot we could go. It was overall frustrating at the fact we waited for 30 minutes after having reservations with a pretty open dining room and then to have other people sat first was a turn off.

The food was not good. My entree was so salty and I couldn’t even eat much because it was so salty. My husband’s fish had a terrible breading on it but he did like the fish so just picked it out of the breading.

The dining room was packed and people could barely move around. The food was alright quality but was not impressed to pay $105 just for the meals for myself, my husband, and 3 kids ages 18, 15, and 11. Fun to do once every 10 years.

The Sunday brunch buffet was VERY good. I'm not a fan of buffets but for our large group, it was the way to go. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The Prime Rib was excellent as well as the fresh fruit, caramel rolls, French toast, eggs, etc. The omelet bar was great, too, but took a bit long. Overall, for the cost, I'd definitely recommend it.

Favorite brunch spot. Overall delicious. Few changes..watch the plates saw some dirty. Spoiled strawberry mixed in with others. Cook bacon longer. Scones are always running short. More caramel on rolls. Wait staff was great

Everything was excellent! Went there for Lawless Brunch and Infinite Mimosas with girlfriends and they did not disappoint. Making the reservations online made that much easier. Very happy with everything!

Granite City was too busy for the amount of staff working. It took over an hour to get our food and because the order was done wrong. our server did not even apologize for one of the dishes being wrong. No offer to even comp us for anything. We will not be going back anytime soon.

It was horrible. We had reservations for 7 people at 6 pm. We got our appetizers and then orders food. Appetizers came out within a reasonable amount t of time. However. At 7:45pm we still did not have our food. We were told that the order did not sync from iPad back to kitchen computer.

This was truly the worst service ever. The soup, salad, and entrées came at the same time, except that only two of the four entrées came. Two people ended up waiting an additional 25 minutes for theirs. THEN the appetizers came. The server didn’t refill drinks and was cranky about it when she finally did come back after being gone for an extended time. Not what you’d expect from a decent restaurant.

Tried to use West Acres gift card and waitress for some dumb reason ran it under Visa. It would not and even young female manager was clueless! We had to use our own money and the reason we came was to use the gift card. My husband checked and card has over $58 on it!!!!

Server took a such long time to come back with champagne even when it wasn’t busy and kept bringing glasses of champagne smaller and smaller for a group of 5 who ordered bottomless mimosas. Felt like a burden asking for more champagne everytime. Food was not good. French toast bake whatever is was had stuffing texture and soggy. Bacon was always burnt, was very disappointed in our visit.

Sunday buffet was just meh. Prime rib was overcooked, every time a new one came out it was the same - gray and dry. Sausage links weren't cooked all the way. Gravy for biscuits tasted like it came from a can, but the biscuits themselves were good. Green salad was ok, but lots of wilted lettuce. Caramel rolls they brought out were burnt. Bread pudding/French toast bake had wayyyyyy to much cinnamon and was overcooked. But the pre-made mini muffins and scones were ok, and the omlette bar was really their only saving grace. Server forgot to take my drink order, so I had to interject before she walked away. There was a 15 min gap between getting waters before coffee came out. And no drink refills were offered until we were done eating, 45 min later. Overall not the best experience, and it wasn't really even that busy. 3/10 will probably not go back again due to how expensive it is for what you get. And for clarity, this was just the most recent experience. Been several times over the years, and it's been the same or worse each time. Definitely not a place we frequent often as it is pricey for mediocre quality. I'd rather go to Denny's. Ordering off menu has only ever been slightly better than the above review. But definitely far from worth the price.
